With the growth of breast cancer statistics in women, studying and finding an effective treatment for this cancer has pulled into the consideration of researchers. Recently, drug delivery systems noticed in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The premise of these systems is the presence of a Nano carrier on which the drugs are set. One of the common Nano carriers is magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles, which is a suitable option as a Nano carrier due to its biocompatibility and easy disposal. Among the common antibodies in breast cancer cells, we can highlight the antiHER-2 to form smart drug delivery systems. Tetracycline is a group of antibiotics that proven to have anti-cancer properties, so this antibiotic can cause cancer cell apoptosis. In general, this research revolves around the design and fabrication of tetracycline of core satellite self-assembled magneto hybrid nanostructure based on magnetic Nano particles IONP/GNP/ targeted with antiHER-2 for targeted Breast Cancer treatment. The fabricated nanostructures showed good performance in drug delivery and reduction of cancer cells. © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In blockchain networks, transactions can be transmitted through channels. The existing transmission methods depend on their routing information. If a node randomly chooses a channel to transmit a transaction, the transmission may be aborted due to insufficient funds(also called balance) or a low transmission rate. To increase the success rate and reduce transmission delay across all transactions, this work proposes a transaction transmission model for blockchain channels based on non-cooperative game *** balance, channel states, and transmission probability are fully considered. This work then presents an optimized channel transaction transmission algorithm. First, channel balances are analyzed and suitable channels are selected if their balance is sufficient. Second, a Nash equilibrium point is found by using an iterative sub-gradient method and its related channels are then used to transmit transactions. The proposed method is compared with two state-of-the-art approaches: Silent Whispers and Speedy Murmurs. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves transmission success rate, reduces transmission delay,and effectively decreases transmission overhead in comparison with its two competitive peers.

The widely deployed passive optical network (PON) is a cost-effective way to create a front/backhaul carrier for ubiquitous wireless access connectivity. To hide the difference of frame formats and multiplexing methods, an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing access PON (OFDMA-PON) was proposed. In upstream transmission, multiple optical network units (ONUs) from the same segment or residential area can transmit data through a shared group of orthogonal low-bitrate subcarriers (SCs) during different time slots (TSs) within the entire transmitting period. In downstream transmission, the optical line terminal can send control signaling of reconfiguring ONUs' parameters so that SCs can be reallocated among segments, thus sleeping segments with empty data load while ensuring service continuity. Though energy savings can be ensured for upstream data transmission by using existing solutions, only frequency and time domains are involved. It is meaningful for us to make the flexible and energy- efficient configuration of transmitting power and modulation level assigned for ONUs in terms of improving energy efficiency. In this paper, we investigate joint resource allocation for energy-efficient upstream data transmission in OFDMA-PONs, with the help of software-based ONU reconfiguration. We formulate the problem, and the upper bound of energy saving is also derived. To solve the problem in a short span of time, we propose a novel heuristic algorithm whose effectiveness has been demonstrated by extensive simulations. © 2018 OSA.

Photovoltaic (PV) panels are vital for renewable energy generation, yet their efficiency is critically hindered by environmental challenges such as dust accumulation, especially in arid regions like the UAE. Dust buildup can reduce efficiency by up to 30% within a month, threatening the sustainability of solar power, which is projected to supply 10% of global energy by 2030. Existing cleaning methods are unsustainable, consuming an estimated 10 billion gallons of water annually, enough to meet the drinking needs of 2 million people, necessitating the development of a cost-effective, resource-efficient alternative. This research presents a novel machine learning-based system to automate dust detection and optimize cleaning, significantly reducing water consumption while improving power generation efficiency. The methodology transforms I-V curve electrical parameters into RGB mosaic images, enabling precise classification of operational states such as normal operation, dust accumulation, shading, and faults without relying on external imaging devices. The system is built on a hybrid model combining Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Random Forest (RF) classifiers (CNN-RF), where the CNN extracts high-level features from RGB mosaic images, and the RF classifier accurately categorizes operational states. Upon detecting dust accumulation, a secondary CNN-RF model classifies the severity into low, moderate, or heavy, guiding an optimized cleaning process that minimizes water usage while maintaining cleaning effectiveness. The primary CNN-RF model achieved 100% accuracy in classifying operational states using RGB mosaic images, surpassing the 97% accuracy achieved by I–V curve-based methods. Furthermore, the secondary CNN-RF model for dust severity classification attained an accuracy of 98% using RGB mosaic images, compared to only 68% when using traditional I–V curves, highlighting the superior performance of RGB mosaic images in detecting fine-grained dust levels. Cascade adaptive control of uncertain unified chaotic systems

The chaos control of uncertain unified chaotic systems is considered. Cascade adaptive control approach with only one control input is presented to stabilize states of the uncertain unified chaotic system at the zero equilibrium point. Since an adaptive controller based on dynamic compensation mechanism is employed, the exact model of the unified chaotic system is not necessarily required. By choosing appropriate controller parameters, chaotic phenomenon can be suppressed and the response speed is tunable. Sufficient condition for the asymptotic stability of the approach is derived. Numerical simulation results confirm that the cascade adaptive control approach with only one control signal is valid in chaos control of uncertain unified chaotic systems.

Cooperation and distributed optimization for the unreliable wireless game with indirect reciprocity

Cooperation in packet forwarding among users and operators of a distributed wireless network has been widely studied. However, because of the limited computational resources, users in wireless communication do not prefer to cooperate with others unless cooperation may improve their own performance. Therefore, the key problem in cooperation enforcement must be solved first to enable a wireless network to be efficient. Yet,most of the existing game-theoretic cooperation stimulation approaches assume that the interactions between any pair of players(users) are long-lasting. In this paper, we apply game theory to optimize the communication efficiency of a distributed wireless network with finite number of interactions between any pair of players. Based on the mechanism of indirect reciprocity, we theoretically analyze the optimal action rule with the method of dynamic programming, and derive the approximate threshold of benefit-to-cost ratio to achieve the optimal action rule. Furthermore, we adopt the replicator dynamics to assess the evolutionary stability of the optimal action rule against the perturbation effect. Numerical illustrations verify the performance of the proposed method on wireless cooperation.

Biological cilia exhibit metachronal movements that enable the expulsion of substances such as mucus and bacterial cells. Inspired by biological cilia, significant progress has been made in recent years in the development of artificial cilia. In particular, magnetic actuation has emerged as a prominent strategy for real-time, remote-controlled manipulation, offering noninvasive and reversible operation without inducing irreversible damage. However, the fabrication of artificial microcilia is currently constrained by limitations in achieving high aspect ratios, cost-effectiveness, and scalable production. In this study, advanced laser manufacturing is used to drill porous silicon (Si) templates, successfully demolding microcilia with a high aspect ratio (exceeding 9). By integrating silicon dioxide (SiO2) nanoparticles, a superhydrophobic surface is achieved with a hierarchical micro-nano structure. The experiments demonstrated that these structured microcilia not only exhibit remarkable durability but also maintain long-term superhydrophobicity. Furthermore, by blending with magnetic iron (II, III) oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles, superhydrophobic magnetic microcilia arrays (SMMA) are developed, enabling droplet transportation on their surface controlled by an external magnetic field. These artificial microcilia have potential applications in biomedical devices, self-cleaning anti-fouling surfaces, and human sensing technologies. © 2025 Wiley-VCH GmbH.

Quantifying the reach-and-grasp practice using novel wearable technology: Application in a stroke rehabilitation setting

Background: Wrist-worn accelerometers have been used to measure the intensity of upper extremity (UE) practice, but their primary focus is on general arm usage, lacking the ability to capture reaching and grasping of the hand that are relevant for rehabilitation. Purpose: We aimed to explore the potential of a novel wrist-worn sensor as a meaningful measure for quantifying the amount of reaching and grasping practice during a structured UE exercise session for stroke. Study Design: A cross-sectional study. Methods: Fourteen individuals with stroke wore sensor devices (TENZR) on both wrists while performing a structured UE exercise program comprising of 35 exercises. Counts recorded from observation (observed repetitions) and counts from the sensor device (sensor counts) were used to describe the amount of UE practice. The level of agreement between the observed repetitions and sensor counts were examined to determine if the TENZR is a meaningful measure. We also explore if the sensor counts were affected by the level of UE impairment. Results: The participants performed 792 observed reach and grasp repetitions, with corresponding 711 and 465 sensor counts for the paretic hand and nonparetic hand, respectively, over the hour practice session. The TENZR and the observational method might measure UE movement differently, as evidenced by a lack of agreement between observed repetitions and sensor counts in the paretic hand. No significant relationship between the sensor counts in the paretic hand and the level of impairment was found. Conclusions: This study used the TENZR to quantify reaching and grasping practice and characterize individual participation pattern for both paretic and nonparetic hands in stroke rehabilitation. The device is an alternative to direct observation for quantifying the intensity of reach-and-grasp practice. In the future, this device could expand to home-based rehabilitation and telehealth services, enabling objective monitoring and tracking
