Efficient Bit-Plane Based Medical Image Cryptosystem Using Novel and Robust Sine-Cosine Chaotic Map

This paper presents a high-security medical image encryption method that leverages a novel and robust sine-cosine *** map demonstrates remarkable chaotic dynamics over a wide range of *** employ nonlinear analytical tools to thoroughly investigate the dynamics of the chaotic map,which allows us to select optimal parameter configurations for the encryption *** findings indicate that the proposed sine-cosine map is capable of generating a rich variety of chaotic attractors,an essential characteristic for effective *** encryption technique is based on bit-plane decomposition,wherein a plain image is divided into distinct bit *** planes are organized into two matrices:one containing the most significant bit planes and the other housing the least significant *** subsequent phases of chaotic confusion and diffusion utilize these matrices to enhance *** auxiliary matrix is then generated,comprising the combined bit planes that yield the final encrypted *** results demonstrate that our proposed technique achieves a commendable level of security for safeguarding sensitive patient information in medical *** a result,image quality is evaluated using the Structural Similarity Index(SSIM),yielding values close to zero for encrypted images and approaching one for decrypted ***,the entropy values of the encrypted images are near 8,with a Number of Pixel Change Rate(NPCR)and Unified Average Change Intensity(UACI)exceeding 99.50%and 33%,***,quantitative assessments of occlusion attacks,along with comparisons to leading algorithms,validate the integrity and efficacy of our medical image encryption approach.

software engineering applications in domains like embedded systems and health care have increased exponentially during the last few years. Developing, analyzing, and customization of languages is one of the core software engineering aspects. This usually involves lexical, syntactical, and semantic operations, technically termed parsing. For this, several parsers have been introduced in state-of-the-art. However, due to diverse features, selecting a parser for a particular operation during software engineering applications is always problematic. In this article, we identified six leading parsers (i.e., ANTLR, JavaCC, SableCC, Tree-sitter, Yacc, and Bison) from the state-of-the-art. Furthermore, we also identified significant parser features to perform meaningful comparative analysis. Results indicate that ANTLR and JavaCC provide enhanced parsing features, such as the parsing algorithm and the extended grammar notation. However, JavaCC is suitable for simple grammar definition, whereas ANTLR allows specifying complex grammar with multiple alternative paths. The findings of this article are highly beneficial for researchers and practitioners while selecting the right parser to perform specific software engineering tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

As modern software systems become more and more complex, bugs (also called faults) are prevalent and inevitable. Automated fault localization focuses on identifying faulty program elements that cause software failures. Mutation-based fault localization (MBFL) is one popular approach and has been proved to be more effective in real bugs. However, MBFL brings a problem of execution cost since it requires the execution of the whole test suite against a huge number of generated mutants. In this paper, we propose FastMBFL, a novel technique to improve the efficiency of MBFL by considering the importance of the impact information originated from failed test while maintaining the similar accuracy. The experimental results show that in terms of the widely used evaluation metric Mutant-Test Pair (MTP), FastMBFL can reduce the mutation cost by 24%-40% compared with the state-of-the-art technique. © 2023 IEEE.

Web-based Geographical Information Systems (Web-GIS) aim to store, analyze, and disseminate geospatial information, enabling effective decision-making. However, their development requires professional expertise and incurs high development costs, resulting in resource limitations for many organizations in developing their own GIS. To address these challenges, we propose a Geo-Location System (GLS) Framework with a Model-driven approach that will ease the developers to automatically develop their customized Web-GIS using Google Maps API. The framework incorporates a GLS meta-model encompassing essential concepts for Web-GIS development and proposes two novel features using OCL constraints to enhance the framework's capabilities. The framework also includes a customized tree editor and a graphical modeling tool that allows the easy modeling and visualization of any complex Web-GIS. Moreover, the framework provides an Acceleo transformation engine that automatically transforms models into executable Web code. The resulting source code is browser-ready without manual modifications. The proposed framework is validated with a real-world case study which demonstrates its effectiveness in reducing the overall development complexity, cost, and time. © 2023 IEEE.

Integrating Real-Time and Non-Real-Time Collaborative Programming: Workflow, Techniques, and Prototypes

Real-time collaborative programming enables a group of programmers to edit shared source code at the same time, which significantly complements the traditional non-real-time collaborative programming supported by version control systems. However, one critical issue with this emerging technique is the lack of integration with non-real-time collaboration. Specifically, contributions from multiple programmers in a real-time collaboration session cannot be distinguished and accurately recorded in the version control system. In this study, we propose a scheme that integrates real-time and non-real-time collaborative programming with a novel workflow, and contribute enabling techniques to realize such integration. As a proof-of-concept, we have successfully implemented two prototype systems named CoEclipse and CoIDEA, which allow programmers to closely collaborate in a real-time fashion while preserving the work's compatibility with traditional non-real-time collaboration. User evaluation and performance experiments have confirmed the feasibility of the approach and techniques, demonstrated the good system performance, and presented the satisfactory usability of the prototypes. © 2023 ACM.

The article describes the scientific problem of optimizing the processes of acquiring knowledge when processing textual information presented in the form of a graph, based on the development of a modified bioinspired algorithm for extracting keywords. The solution proposed by the authors differs from the known ones by introducing new attractive operators and behavioral patterns of bacterial agents into the computational model of the bacterial swarm algorithm. This approach allows you to balance the ratio of the speed of convergence of the algorithm with the diversification of the search space for solutions. The article also presents an analytical study of the features of two types of parsing: constituency parsing and dependency parsing. As part of the study, algorithms for syntactic parsing of dependencies between elements of text information and a graph-based dependency parsing algorithm are described. The formulation of the problem of keyword extraction is given. The task of achieving a balance between accuracy and speed of a linguistic parser is an open topic that requires further research due to the importance of this problem for improving the efficiency of text analysis, especially in applications that require real-time accuracy. To increase the efficiency of solving the problem, the authors propose a modified bioinspired algorithm for extracting keywords. The computational experiment carried out allows us to conclude that the modified bacterial optimization method proposed by the authors is in a leading position, which confirms the need to continue research into the applicability of bioinspired methods for solving problems of acquiring knowledge when processing text information presented in the form of a graph. This article is focused on the direction of study in the master's program "Informatics and Computer Science", as well as the scientific specialty of postgraduate training "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning". © 2024 IEEE.

Fault localization is one of the most important activities in software debugging. Among various fault localization techniques, mutation-based fault localization (MBFL) has been commonly studied with its promising performance. However, MBFL should be improved further by incorporating more useful program information. In this paper, we propose MuCatFL, a novel and lightweight technique for better MBFL via mutant categorization. In details, after executing the original test suite against all generated mutants, we categorize the mutants into two groups, positive mutants and negative mutants, to rank the tied program elements. We evaluate MuCatFL by performing an extensive study on 395 real software faults from the widely used benchmark Defects4J. The experimental results show that MuCatFL can significantly outperform MBFL techniques (e.g., localizing 138 faults within the Top-1 position on method-level, 43.75% more than traditional Metallaxis technique). We also investigate that only positive mutants can contribute to the effectiveness of MBFL. Our findings can also provide guidance for the strategies to reduce the execution cost of MBFL. © 2022 Knowledge Systems Institute Graduate School. All rights reserved.

A Finite element method (FEM) and macro-model simulation of piezoelectric energy harvesting with poly silicon material instead of a Cu electrode for frequency up-conversion device is studied in this paper. The macro-model simulation is performed using Intellisuit MEMS CAD tool. To perform the macro-model simulation, a straight piezoelectric cantilever frequency up-conversion model is used. It consists of straight piezoelectric cantilever (SPC) and S-shaped stainless-steel cantilever (SSC). The SSC is made up of two entity layer namely Cu Bulk General and PZT and SPC is made up of three entity layers namely Nickel Proof Mass, Stainless Steel, Cu General and design works on the frequency up-conversion mechanism. We have studied a poly silicon material instead of a Cu electrode, as one of the layer in SPC. Three types of simulations were carried out: i.e. finite element approach, macro-model simulation, and synple simulation. © 2023 IEEE.

Autocalibration for Creating 2D/3D Displays on Complex Geometric Surfaces

Geometric calibration methods tend to rely on precalibrated cameras or real calibration targets. Here we explore the chal-lenge of achieving a sufficiently accurate projector system calibration for complex projection mapping tasks that can rely on neither precalibrated cameras nor calibration targets. Virtual scene models can take the place of a real calibration target for the purpose of providing scene information that is used to refine geometric estimates. Refinement of the display parameters aims to reduce the reprojection error, or the error between the theoretical coordinate (generated from the projection of the scene estimate coordinate by the estimated parameters) and the actual coordinate (obtained from pixel cor-respondences). For Christie installations, the final reprojection error of each pixel should be less than 1 pixel. Mystique was not always so capable. Christie’s research department, Christie Labs, has a history of creating solutions for new projection concepts. Part of that strategy has been a long partnership with the University of Waterloo, particularly the Vision and Image Processing (VIP) Lab in Systems design engineering. Graduate students study computer vision and machine learning—topics related to problems often at the heart of techniques—which can be used to bring new ideas, meth-ods, and solutions to Mystique and, by extension, to Christie’s customers. Years of investment in research and development, including partnership with the VIP Lab and others, have enabled Mystique to handle challenges beyond any other projec-tor-alignment solution.
