An Anchor-Aware Graph Autoencoder Fused with Gini Index Model for Link Prediction

Link prediction stands as a crucial network challenge, garnering attention over the past decade, with its significance heightened by the escalating volume of network data. In response to the pressing need for swift research focus, this study introduces an innovative approach—the Anchor-aware Graph Autoencoder integrated with the Gini Index (AGA-GI)—aimed at gathering data on the global placements of link nodes within the link prediction framework. The proposed methodology encompasses three key components: anchor points, node-to-anchor paths, and node embedding. Anchor points within the network are identified by leveraging the graph structure as an input. The determination of anchor positions involves computing the Gini indexes (GI) of nodes, leading to the generation of a candidate set of anchors. Typically, these anchor points are distributed across the network structure, facilitating substantial informational exchanges with other nodes. The location-based similarity approach computes the paths between anchor points and nodes. It identifies the shortest path, creating a node path information function that incorporates feature details and location similarity. The ultimate embedding representation of the node is then formed by amalgamating attributes, global location data, and neighbourhood structure through an auto-encoder learning methodology. The Residual Capsule Network (RCN) model acquires these node embeddings as input to learn the feature representation of nodes and transforms the link prediction problem into a classification task. The suggested (AGA-GI) model undergoes comparison with various existing models in the realm of link prediction. Modified Bat Algorithm: a newly proposed approach for solving complex and real-world problems

Bat Algorithm (BA) is a nature-inspired metaheuristic search algorithm designed to efficiently explore complex problem spaces and find near-optimal solutions. The algorithm is inspired by the echolocation behavior of bats, which acts as a signal system to estimate the distance and hunt prey. Although the BA has proven effective for various optimization problems, it exhibits limited exploration ability and susceptibility to local optima. The algorithm updates velocities and positions based on the current global best solution, causing all agents to converge toward a specific location, potentially leading to local optima issues in optimization problems. On this premise, this paper proposes the Modified Bat Algorithm (MBA) as an enhancement to address the local optima limitation observed in the original BA. MBA incorporates the frequency and velocity of the current best solution, enhancing convergence speed to the optimal solution and preventing local optima entrapment. While the original BA faces diversity issues, both the original BA and MBA are introduced. To assess MBA’s performance, three sets of test functions (classical benchmark functions, CEC2005, and CEC2019) are employed, with results compared to those of the original BA, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Dragonfly Algorithm (DA). The outcomes demonstrate the MBA’s significant superiority over other algorithms. In addition, MBA successfully addresses a real-world assignment problem (call center problem), traditionally solved using linear programming methods, with satisfactory results. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The software development projects’ testing part is usually expensive and complex, but it is essential to gauge the effectiveness of the developed software. software Fault Prediction (SFP) primarily serves to detect faults within software components. The scale of software projects is getting larger, making it impossible and time-consuming to analyze the flaws manually. Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques are mainly incorporated to solve this problem. The massive data retrieved from the software repositories helps in identifying the features that are highly correlated with fault prediction and the features that are not. This paper introduces a Kernel Extreme Learning Machine (KELM) for SFP. To optimize the hyperparameters of the classifier and also enhance the classification accuracy, the War Strategy Optimization (WSO) algorithm is employed here. The experimental evaluations are conducted using different baseline actual-world datasets of software programs such as Java-coded open-source and PROMISE datasets. The experimental outcomes are conducted using different performance metrics that include sensitivity, Accuracy, and F1-score with values of 0.96%, 0.97%, and 0.96%, respectively. The results show that KELM is beneficial, and the optimization provided by the WSO algorithm also helps us obtain higher classification accuracy for the SFP problem and improve the fault detection process. © The Institution of Engineers (India) 2024.

Ransomware is one of the most advanced malware which uses high computer resources and services to encrypt system data once it infects a system and causes large financial data losses to the organization and individuals. There are certain automatic ransomware detection and analysis strategies available nowadays. File system analysis reveals some essential patterns and artifacts that can be very useful to understand its behavior spreading mechanism, taxonomy for malware forensics experts. Current trend explores Ransomware as a service (RaaS) and Malware as a service (MaaS) on Darknet. This paper reveals a theory of digital forensic methodology to identify the spreading/infection mechanism and attack path, the cryptographic methodology, windows services, process, APIs, persistence mechanism, and system lockdown strategies and malware analysis methodology. Over the past few years,the application and usage of Machine Learning(ML)techniques have increased exponentially due to continuously increasing the size of data and computing *** the popularity of ML techniques,only a few research studies have focused on the application of ML especially supervised learning techniques in Requirement engineering(RE)activities to solve the problems that occur in RE *** authors focus on the systematic mapping of past work to investigate those studies that focused on the application of supervised learning techniques in RE activities between the period of 2002–*** authors aim to investigate the research trends,main RE activities,ML algorithms,and data sources that were studied during this ***-five research studies were selected based on our exclusion and inclusion *** results show that the scientific community used 57 *** those algorithms,researchers mostly used the five following ML algorithms in RE activities:Decision Tree,Support Vector Machine,Naïve Bayes,K-nearest neighbour Classifier,and Random *** results show that researchers used these algorithms in eight major RE *** activities are requirements analysis,failure prediction,effort estimation,quality,traceability,business rules identification,content classification,and detection of problems in requirements written in natural *** selected research studies used 32 private and 41 public data *** most popular data sources that were detected in selected studies are the Metric Data Programme from NASA,Predictor Models in software engineering,and iTrust Electronic Health Care System.

Workload pattern learning-based resource management is crucial for cloud computing environments for achieving higher performance, sustainability, fault-tolerance, and quality of service. The existing literature lacks a comprehensive discussion and metaanalysis of workload pattern learning centered cloud resource management. In this context, this paper presents a first comprehensive study about five pattern learning and analysis-driven techniques applied for achieving higher efficiency and performance during multi-constrained cloud resource management. The paper manifests utility and significance of workload pattern learning-based resource management as compared with traditional resource management. The five principle techniques are thoroughly discussed with coherent depiction of intended concept alongwith numerical illustration. The most prominent state-of-the-art models belonging to each technique are further distinguished based on distinct objectives conferring an extensive survey and comparison. Besides, conceptual and theoretical analysis, the leading models underlying the major resource management techniques are implemented on a common platform and thoroughly examined using real-world Google Cluster workload traces. Based on the all-inclusive study and performance evaluation, trade-off discussion among these techniques are capsuled to put forward imperative concluding remarks with concrete open issues and insightful future research directions. © 2024 IEEE.

The medical domain faces unique challenges in information Retrieval (IR) due to the complexity of medical language and terminology discrepancies between user queries and documents. While traditional Keyword-Based Methods (KBM) have limitations, the integration of semantic knowledge bases and concept mapping techniques enhances data organization and retrieval. Addressing the growing demands in the biomedical field, a novel medical information Retrieval System (IRS) is proposed that employs Deep Learning (DL) and KBM. This system comprises five core steps: pre-processing of texts, document indexing using DL (ELMo) and KBM, advanced query processing, a BiLSTM-based retrieval network for contextual representation, and a KR-R re-ranking algorithm to refine document relevance. The purpose of the system is to give users improved biomedical search results through the integration of all of these techniques into a method that takes into consideration the semantic problems of medical records. An in-depth examination of the TREC-PM track samples from 2017 to 2019 observed an impressive leading MRR score of 0.605 in 2017 and a best-in-class rPrec score of 0.350 in 2019, proving how well able the system is to detect and rank relevant medical records accurately. © 2024 – IOS Press. Loop Subgraph-Level Greedy Mapping Algorithm for Grid Coarse-Grained Reconfigurable Array

To solve the problem of grid coarse-grained reconfigurable array task mapping under multiple constraints,we propose a Loop Subgraph-Level Greedy Mapping(LSLGM)algorithm using parallelism and processing element *** the constraint of a reconfigurable array,the LSLGM algorithm schedules node from a ready queue to the current reconfigurable cell array *** mapping a node,its successor’s indegree value will be dynamically *** its successor’s indegree is zero,it will be directly scheduled to the ready queue;otherwise,the predecessor must be dynamically *** the predecessor cannot be mapped,it will be scheduled to a blocking *** dynamically adjust the ready node scheduling order,the scheduling function is constructed by exploiting factors,such as node number,node level,and node *** with the loop subgraph-level mapping algorithm,experimental results show that the total cycles of the LSLGM algorithm decreases by an average of 33.0%(PEA44)and 33.9%(PEA_(7×7)).Compared with the epimorphism map algorithm,the total cycles of the LSLGM algorithm decrease by an average of 38.1%(PEA_(4×4))and 39.0%(PEA_(7×7)).The feasibility of LSLGM is verified.
