A great potential of various learning environment in mobile learning application can clearly be seen in current pandemic situation. The accessibility of the learning resources needs to be available from anywhere anytime despite having strong or poor internet connection. It has motivated researchers to imply context-aware capability in improving the accessibility of the learning resources. This paper presents a development process of Mudahnya BM mobile application that follows a fundamental concept of Mobile Cloud Learning (MCL). Mudahnya BM is an application to learn basic Malay language for learner 7–12 years old. The injection of extrinsic and intrinsic context-aware help the application to improve the reasoning process for finding available learning resources from service providers. Semantic-based approach is applied in the reasoning process. This study involved the end users for evaluation purposes. 33 randomized scenarios have been tested using One-Sample Wilcoxon Signed Rank test. As a developing country, Sri Lanka needs to go along with cutting-edge technologies. In the beginning phase of this digital advertising, multiple advertisements were displayed on the users' feeds, including advertisements despite their preferences. This was a terrible user experience for the users. However, smart advertising based on customer preferences can manage the flow of advertisements on the feed as per the users' preferences. This same technique can be used in handling advertisements while shopping at supermarkets. These advertisements can be directed based on demographic characteristics like face and gender and previous customer transactions. Additionally, providing the nearest supermarket they can reach based on their current location. Queue management is the next most crucial facility that needs to be provided to a supermarket. However, the manual system of queue management is not effective. But with a modernized queue management system, overcrowded supermarkets can be managed effectively. This proposed system also considers providing a chatbot service to manage customer inquiries in a reliable strategy. In this system, we mainly used the Keras model called VGGFace for face detection, the Conventional Neural Network and Keras-based model for gender detection, the TensorFlow model called Single Shot MultiBox Detection MobileNet for queue and crowd detection, the Apriori algorithm base model for predicting the buying pattern, a Keras-based model for Artificial Intelligence chatbot and finally, google map Application Programming Interface for the nearest supermarket finding are models and technology. This system was developed to manage a supermarket properly. © 2022 IEEE.

Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder with distorted thinking, hallucinations, and social difficulties. Early diagnosis is vital, but current methods are limited. This research proposes a web-based application integrating machine learning, emotion recognition, and game-based elements to track symptoms and aid in early diagnosis. Interactive exercises focus on specific symptoms like cognitive evaluation, emotional analysis, and memory assessment. By combining computer science, psychology, and machine learning, the project aims to improve early detection and ultimately enhance the quality of life for affected individuals. Key components include using Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) architecture for recognizing facial and physical expressions associated with schizophrenia with an 87% accuracy rate, and utilizing Vector Regressor (SVR) with a 93% accuracy rate, along with Vision Transformer (ViT) and Custom CNN models for cognitive assessment, achieving accuracy rates of 99% and 98%, respectively.

In recent times,internet of things(IoT)applications on the cloud might not be the effective solution for every IoT scenario,particularly for time sensitive applications.A significant alternative to use is edge computing that resolves the problem of requiring high bandwidth by end *** computing is considered a method of forwarding the processing and communication resources in the cloud towards the *** of the considerations of the edge computing environment is resource management that involves resource scheduling,load balancing,task scheduling,and quality of service(QoS)to accomplish improved *** this motivation,this paper presents new soft computing based metaheuristic algorithms for resource scheduling(RS)in the edge computing *** SCBMARS model involves the hybridization of the Group Teaching Optimization Algorithm(GTOA)with rat swarm optimizer(RSO)algorithm for optimal resource *** goal of the SCBMA-RS model is to identify and allocate resources to every incoming user request in such a way,that the client’s necessities are satisfied with the minimum number of possible resources and optimal energy *** problem is formulated based on the availability of VMs,task characteristics,and queue *** integration of GTOA and RSO algorithms assist to improve the allocation of resources among VMs in the data *** experimental validation,a comprehensive set of simulations were performed using the CloudSim *** experimental results showcased the superior performance of the SCBMA-RS model interms of different measures.

Big data has emerged very fast, and this has brought both opportunities and problems that are related to the application of deep learning. This paper explores how deep learning can be implemented using big data and in particular the Apache Mahout library. Unlike most other machine learning tools, Mahout can perform distributed computation, especially while using the MapReduce frameworks including Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark. However, this study does not only focus on the explanation of the need for Mahout's integration and employment but also carries out a high-fidelity argument on how deep learning algorithms can be incorporated in the Mahout framework to optimize the manipulation of large and complicated datasets. Mahout-based contributions include the comparative analysis of key deep learning paradigms including distributed processing, parallel processing and transfer learning. This paper also includes examples of the Mahout deep learning integration use and its application in real contexts. This article describes the challenges that currently organizations face in handling big data and indeed, the potential threats these challenges pose to the success of deep learning techniques when used in organizations’ big data processing and analysis.

The usage of online entertainment has increased dramatically after some time with the enhancement of the Internet and has turned into the most compelling systems administration stage in this century. There are many different types of exergaming, but one of the most engaging one is the one with virtual reality. This type of gaming allows you to immerse yourself in a completely different world, and it can be a lot of fun. Due to Covid-19 pandemic many people resort to their usual exercise activities and opt to do it at home yet only to find a monotonous and boring fitness routine. VR Real Run is aimed to give a solution on how to have fun and to get fit at the same time. By using the latest and front runner in the VR headsets products, the Oculus Quest 2, we developed an exergame that require user to run in place and jump to play. It also features high score to motivate users in perform better in the next session. A black box test has been well performed and a usability test was came out with a 79 SUS score which translate the application as 'good' therefore its usability is acceptable. © 2022 IEEE.

Today, financial technology is a part of consumer needs. Mobile payments are used to support daily transactions, so a study of factors that can support behavioral intention and mobile money use is conducted. This study examines the support of digital literacy, perceived security, and perceived compatibility of mobile payments in increasing behavioral intention and mobile money use. The research was conducted on mobile payment users in Bandung City (Indonesia), and 416 research participants were asked using a questionnaire. The research was conducted using a quantitative survey and was processed using the SmartPLS tool. Two tests, namely, the PLS Algorithm and Bootstrapping, were used to test the research model. Next, the research hypothesis testing was used to explain the results. The research results found positive support from digital literacy, perceived security, and perceived compatibility on mobile payment behavioral intention. However, only perceived compatibility can directly increase the use of mobile money. In line with the hypothesis test, behavioral intention can support increased mobile money use by digital payment users. The research findings explain the ability of behavioral intention to mediate support for digital literacy, perceived security, and perceived compatibility in mobile money use. © 2024 IEEE.

While social media has reached the peak of its popularity, the addiction to social media become a major issue. With the present pandemic the authorities are forced to close the schools and to shift to virtual classrooms. The students must therefore use a connected devise to participate to the classes which has contributed to the increased addiction to social media among the youth. Inappropriate or excessive usage social media may affect the studies as well as mental and physical health of the user. Spread of fake news through social media has also been a big problem. Mainly, due to its convenience of usage, social media, has become a daily necessity, especially among the youth. Network programming is the act of writing computer codes for communications between programs or processes in different computers across networks. It is crucial for applications and services using networks, including e-commerce, gaming, and social media. However, university courses of educating it are very limited. As a result, it has become important to develop and offer IT tools to support self-studies of network programming by novices. In this paper, we present a study of two types of introductory exercise problems, namely, Grammar-concept Understanding Problem (GUP) and Comment Insertion Problem (CIP), for self-studies of five basic network protocols of TCP/IP, ARP, SMTP, POP3, and SSH with Python. A GUP instance requests to answer the keyword such as a library function in the given source code that corresponds to the grammar concept described in the question. A CIP instance requests to insert the comment at each blank of the code. String matching is adopted to mark any answer at the browser-based answer interface. Through solving them, it is expected to understand the meaning of important words and the code structure for network programming. As preliminary evaluations, we generated six GUP and CIP instances respectively, and assigned them to 10 students in Okayama University, Japan. The results confirmed that the proposal is proper for novices to learn network programming with Python. © 2023 ACM.
