The quick advancement of healthcare systems necessitates robust and efficient network security keys to defend sensitive patient records and guarantee uninterrupted service delivery. The current IDS has many challenges, such as a high false positive rate, poor accuracy of detection, slow response to threats, and inability to scale well. This paper proposes an efficient and real-time intrusion detection system (IDS) using advanced machine learning techniques within a software-defined networking (SDN) framework specifically tailored for healthcare systems. The proposed architecture implements a Machine Learning (ML) model that combines the SVM and KNN to better identify malicious activities. Full sets of detection and mitigation capabilities are implemented to address different types of traffic in the network with the least interference. Through the different evaluation measures, the efficiency of the proposed model is assured. Network performance is determined by success rate queries, packet losses in each domain path, and the CPU being used by the system. Responsiveness is measured through delay metrics grounded on end-to-end delay, hop-to-hop packet delay, latency rate, and propagation delay. Moreover, model accuracy fidelity is reviewed via precision assessment, alpha (α) affecting the accuracy of the model, and confusion matrix with different techniques with the proposed hybrid SVM-KNN model. Last of all, a comparison of the security of the models in question strengthens the argument in favor of the proposed model. More specifically, flow and network topology diagrams are included to show how integration may be accomplished in linkage or merger with existing healthcare networks. The results also present a 30% overall advancement in detection and mitigation by presenting the hybrid SVM-KNN model to overcome other traditional models. Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) is an origination of Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET), where road vehicles will distribute messages and provide safety alerts to notice hazardous circumstances to the drivers. One of its greatest challenges is ensuring Quality of Service (QoS) owing to channel sharing, high traffic and topology changes in VANETs. These challenges cause of degradation of network performance. Congestion control should be properly considered to improve the network performance and transmission message over VANETs. However, there seem significant limitations to most of the other current congestion control mechanisms. In this paper, an enhanced congestion control model based on prioritization and scheduling-based strategy is proposed. This strategy assigns priorities of the safety messages and non-safety messages based of the message type and network condition. Further, safety message can be classified into event-driven messages and beacon messages. At that point, all messages transmit into the appropriate queue based on their priority and schedule all messages in each queue. However, when new message enqueue, reschedule in each queue may cause additional unwanted delay to be processed cause of inefficient scheduling technique. Thus, an improved dynamic scheduling algorithm also proposed to schedule the messages in this circumstance. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the rapid development of technology, the use of social media by the public, especially among young people, is increasing. One of the social media platforms currently used by young people is the TikTok application. It is a video-based TikTok feature accompanied by music, writing, and pictures that are considered attractive, so teenagers like it to show their existence and self-disclosure. Therefore, this study aims to examine the intention of users to disclose their privacy. As the basis of the theory, this study deployed the privacy calculus theory, where the perceived benefits and perceived risks play crucial roles in the intention to disclose their privacy. The study successfully collected 369 responses. The empirical findings indicated that only the relationship between Perceived Personalization (PP) and Perceived Risk (PR) was not supported. However, all the remaining hypotheses were supported. These findings emphasize how several complicated variables influence social media users' intentions to disclose their privacy. When people feel in control of their privacy settings and see significant benefits, they are more likely to divulge personal information; nevertheless, perceived risks can greatly discourage users.

In this paper is presented implementation of a lightweight supervisory control and data acquisition system for remote test stations as a part of a larger test house in the automotive industry. It is necessary to allow remote set up and monitoring of the test stations, which means defining the structure of a system with numerous test stations as endpoints. The test stations are meant to be virtual machines but can be both virtual and physical machines. A communication protocol must be used that enables this within the organization’s network, regardless of actual distance and location. The parameters of the test stations to be monitored can be defined according to the needs and purpose. Even when creating your own tool, this function is not unique, i.e. on one test station parameters of operating system resources such as memory usage can be monitored, while on another test station logged-in users or running programs, reported system errors and others must be monitored. Data storage is one of the mandatory functions of this system. This process allows viewing data throughout history and more detailed analysis of events. There are numerous benefits that can be drawn and used from the data stored in the database. It is necessary to pay attention to the data stored as well as the scope and retention throughout history. The correct and secure setup of a database is one of the prerequisites for any serious system that processes data. Appropriate views should be created for users involved in the data monitoring process using all the elements mentioned so far. Creating a visually acceptable and easy-to-use interface that serves the main purpose is the final presentation of the entire system to users. A complete system leads to higher productivity, profitability and better organization of the company. It also allows project managers to better plan the use and occupancy of test stations. Realizing Generalized Zero-Shot Learning (GZSL) based on large models is emerging as a prevailing trend. However, most existing methods merely regard large models as black boxes, solely leveraging the features output by the final layer while disregarding potential performance enhancements from other layers. Indeed, numerous researchers have visually depicted variations in the features learned across different layers of neural networks. Motivated by this observation, we propose a Vision Transformer (ViT)-based GZSL method named Depth-Aware Multi-Modal ViT (DAM2ViT), which exploits multi-level features of ViT. DAM2ViT incorporates a multi-modal interaction block to align semantic information of categories across multiple layers, thereby augmenting the model’s capacity to learn associations between visual and semantic spaces. Extensive experiments conducted on three benchmark datasets (i.e., CUB, SUN, AWA2) have showcased that DAM2ViT achieves competitive results compared to state-of-the-art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Continuous Integration (CI) is a popular software development practice that quickly verifies updates to codebases. To cope with the ever-increasing demand for faster software releases, CI acceleration approaches have been proposed; however, adoption of CI acceleration is not without risks. For example, CI acceleration products may mislabel change sets (e.g., a build labeled as failing that passes in an unaccelerated setting or vice versa) or produce results that are inconsistent with an unaccelerated build (e.g., the underlying reasons for failure differ between (un)accelerated builds). These inconsistencies threaten the trustworthiness of CI acceleration *** this paper, we propose an approach inspired by mutation testing to systematically evaluate the trustworthiness of CI acceleration. We apply our approach to YourBase, a program analysis-based CI acceleration product, and uncover issues that hinder its trustworthiness. First, we study how often the same build in accelerated and unaccelerated CI settings produce different mutation testing outcomes. We call mutants with different outcomes in the two settings "gap mutants". Next, we study the code locations where gap mutants appear. Finally, we inspect gap mutants to understand why acceleration causes them to survive. Our analysis of ten open-source projects uncovers 2,237 gap mutants. We find that: (1) the gap mutants account for 0.11%–23.50% of the studied mutants; (2) 88.95% of gap mutants can be mapped to specific source code functions and classes using the dependency representation of the studied CI acceleration product; and (3) 69% of gap mutants survive CI acceleration due to deterministic reasons that can be classified into six fault patterns. Our results show that even deterministic CI acceleration solutions suffer from trustworthiness limitations, and highlight the ways in which trustworthiness could be pragmatically improved.

Using WiFi Fingerprinting for indoor positioning is becoming increasingly popular due to its cost-effectiveness. However, to ensure the system can operate with high accuracy and stability, this technique requires a burden of data collection tasks from a dense distribution of reference points (RPs). To decrease the cost of data collection, as well as to improve the WiFi fingerprint database with irregular distribution of RPs, this study applies and compares different interpolation methods. Evaluating these methods in a public dataset including multiple sub-datasets with irregular distributions of RPs, the results highlight the Linear Barycentric interpolation (LB) as the most favorable method due to its low complexity and stable performance. The LB-based fingerprint database achieves an average interpolation error of less than 3 dBm compared to the original one. When applying the interpolated database to positioning tasks, it can help reduce acquisition costs by up to 50% while improving positioning accuracy by up to 11%. The study reveals the feasibility of interpolation in optimizing WiFi fingerprint data collection, especially in large and complex environments where regular distribution of RPs cannot be deployed. © 2024 IEEE.

This research focuses on image classification, grouping images based on shared characteristics. The study aims to identify the highest-potential category within various fields, from high to low potential. By understanding existing potential, researchers can inform targeted strategies for future development. The methodology combines Logistic Regression in Orange Data Mining to enhance classification accuracy. Hierarchical Clustering is used to analyze 7,777 image results. The increasing use of social media is challenging the old concept of customer relationship management (CRM). Social CRM strategy is a new model of CRM that applies social technology by presenting a new way to manage customer relationships. Compared to traditional CRM, social media is an affordable tool for SMEs to compete in the global market. Although the application of social CRM can increase business in SMEs, the implementation of social CRM still requires various conditions, especially for SMEs with limited resources. So for the adoption of social CRM, it is necessary to determine the factors that influence the adoption of social CRM in SMEs. This study aims to predict the adoption of social CRM by proposing a TOEP application model and developing several hypotheses that test the function of technology factors, Organizational factors, Environment factors, and information Process factors. The proposed hypothesis model was tested using the SEM method on data taken from SMEs in the Banyumas area with a sample of 115 SMEs. This study finds that Relative Advantage, Complexity, Compatibility CRMS, Employee IT/SI Knowledge, Government Support, information Use, information Retrieval are the most important factors influencing the adoption of social CRM. This study differs from previous studies because it proposes a new model, namely the TOE adoption model and the information process factor as an additional factor to determine the factors that affect social CRM in SMEs. © 2022 IEEE.
