The unipolar photocurrent in conventional photodiodes(PDs)based on photovoltaic effect limits the output modes and potential versatility of these devices in *** photodiodes with photocurrent switching are emerging as a promising solution for obtaining photoelectric devices with unique and attractive functions,such as optical logic ***,we design an all-solid-state chip-scale ultraviolet(UV)PD based on a hybrid GaN heterojunction with engineered bipolar polarized electric *** introducing the polarization-induced photocurrent switching effect,the photocurrent direction can be switched in response to the wavelength of incident light at 0 V *** particular,the photocurrent direction exhibits negative when the irradiation wavelength is less than 315 nm,but positive when the wavelength is longer than 315 *** device shows a responsivity of up to−6.7 mA/W at 300 nm and 5.3 mA/W at 340 nm,*** particular,three special logic gates in response to different dual UV light inputs are demonstrated via a single bipolar PD,which may be beneficial for future multifunctional UV photonic integrated devices and systems.

The continuous increasing usage of internet devices in many areas of human life is continuously growing and demanding a proper method to protect these IoT devices from cyber-attacks and vulnerabilities. In this aspect, deep learning neural networks are a very helpful and beneficial method to provide protection to internet devices in many aspects. This study's objective is to systematically research and examine the background of research about neural networks tactics functional to different internet-based devices' safety use-cases. We put the influences we looked at into many different groups to show where this research is lacking. This particular research or findings mainly captures the articles related to 'Deep neural networks', 'Cyber risks' and 'IOT' in four databanks, namely science Direct, ACM Digital Library, IEEEXplore and Springer Link. These studies concern 3 main studies, which involve safety aspects, their own Deep Learning network designs, and the occupied datasets. The final round is to find out the loopholes to be examined in the future and vulnerabilities and drawbacks in the IoT security scenario. © 2023 IEEE.

Potato is the most widely grown and consumed food throughout the world. There are a number of potato crop diseases that affect production, and these diseases differ in symptoms, circumstances, and controls. Early detection and recognition of disease information can aid in disease prevention and production. This paper presents deep learning models using proposed CNN and pre-trained models for potato disease detection and classification. The proposed model is more efficient and accurate at detection and classification. To perform classification, we used two datasets: PLD and PlantVillage. The Xception CNN model serves as the foundation for our proposed model. It achieved 1.00 accuracy, 0.99 precision, 1.00 recall, and 0.99 F1-score on the PLD dataset. On the PlantVillage dataset, it achieved 1.00 accuracy, 1.00 precision, 1.00 recall, and 1.00 F1-score. We also compared the results of Inception-ResNet-V2, MobileNet-V2, VGG-19, Inception-V3, and Xception models with the performance of our proposed model. For three classes of potato leaves, the proposed CNN model produced more accurate results than other pre-trained models. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The brain-computer interface (BCI) and eye-tracking technologies can potentially improve the learning environment in education. Cognitive BCIs can give a deep knowledge of brain functioning, enabling the creation of more effective learning approaches and improving brain-based abilities. This study proposes a neurofeedback strategy based on BCI and eye-tracking to collect factual data (monitoring students' brainwaves and eye movement) and analyze their cognitive capacities during online learning. This study aims to create patterns regarding students' learning behavior based on brain and eye movement responses to learning activities as part of the learning environment. As a result, teachers may adapt to new pedagogical ideas and a more flexible delivery style. © 2023 IEEE.

Long-tail learning primarily focuses on mitigating the label distribution shift between long-tailed training data and uniformly distributed test data. However, in real-world applications, we often encounter a more intricate challenge where the test label distribution is agnostic. To address this problem, we first theoretically establish the substantial potential for reducing the generalization error if we can precisely estimate the test label distribution. Motivated by the theoretical insight, we introduce a simple yet effective solution called label shift correction (LSC). LSC estimates the test label distribution within the proposed framework of generalized black box shift estimation, and adjusts the predictions from a pre-trained model to align with the test distribution. Theoretical analyses confirm that accurate estimation of test label distribution can effectively reduce the generalization error. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our method significantly outperforms previous state-of-the-art approaches, especially when confronted with non-uniform test label distribution. Notably, the proposed method is general and complements existing long-tail learning approaches, consistently improving their performance. Academic and financial sectors are interested in research areas that focus on understanding the patterns of financial activities and predicting their future changes. The daily movement of financial data involves complex, insufficient, and ambiguous information, making its prediction an extremely difficult endeavour. The issues of forecasting and analysing financial data is therefore complex and time-dependent. Deep neural networks (DNNs) can be used to solve nonlinear problems more effectively than conventional machine learning techniques. This study proposes an intelligent and optimal model CuDNNLSTM-Multi(1dCNN) for stock market price prediction using a hybrid of CUDA based Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) and Multiple One Dimensional Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs). A variety of models, including Multiple CuDNNLSTM-CNN, Multi-CuDNNLSTM, Multi (1dCNN), are used to compare the prediction performance of the proposed model. In terms of RMSE, MAE, and MAPE, the results show that the suggested model outperforms all hybrid and individual models. © 2023 IEEE.

With the prevalence of pre-training-fine-tuning paradigm, how to efficiently adapt the pre-trained model to the downstream tasks has been an intriguing issue. Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) methods have been proposed for low-cost adaptation. Although PEFT has demonstrated effectiveness and been widely applied, the underlying principles are still unclear. In this paper, we adopt the PAC-Bayesian generalization error bound, viewing pre-training as a shift of prior distribution which leads to a tighter bound for generalization error. We validate this shift from the perspectives of oscillations in the loss landscape and the quasi-sparsity in gradient distribution. Based on this, we propose a gradient-based sparse finetuning algorithm, named Sparse Increment Fine-Tuning (SIFT), and validate its effectiveness on a range of tasks including the GLUE Benchmark and Instruction-tuning. Cooperative perception is a promising paradigm to tackle the perception limitations of a single intelligent vehicle (IV) to enhance the driving safety and efficiency in intelligent vehicular networks. However, the real-time transmission and computation-intensive fusion of raw sensing data raise new challenges for satisfying the stringent delay requirement of delay-sensitive applications. In this paper, we formulate a joint optimization problem of the cooperative IV selection, compression ratio selection, transmit power control, task offloading decision and computation allocation to minimize the end-to-end delay consisting of compression, transmission and computation. In particular, to meet the perception probability requirement, the quality and quantity-aware matching algorithm is proposed to optimize the cooperative IV selection. To guarantee the queue stability of offloading tasks, we develop the Lyapunov optimization algorithm to determine the upper bound of the offloading tasks and the corresponding optimal computation allocation. The Lyapunov aided deep reinforcement learning algorithm is further proposed to dynamically adjust the task offloading decision and compression ratio selection to minimize the end-to-end delay with the transmit power control being optimized by the successive convex approximation algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate that, compared to several benchmark algorithms, our proposed algorithm achieves the lowest end-to-end delay while guaranteeing the requirements on perception probability and queue stability effectively. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Diagnosing data or object detection in medical images is one of the important parts of image segmentation especially those data which is less effective to identify inMRI such as low-grade tumors or cerebral spinal fluid(CSF)leaks in the *** aim of the study is to address the problems associated with detecting the low-grade tumor and CSF in brain is difficult in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)images and another problem also relates to efficiency and less execution time for segmentation of medical *** tumor and CSF segmentation using trained light field database(LFD)datasets of MRI *** research proposed the new framework of the hybrid k-Nearest Neighbors(k-NN)model that is a combination of hybridization of Graph Cut and Support Vector Machine(GCSVM)and Hidden Markov Model of k-Mean Clustering Algorithm(HMMkC).There are four different methods are used in this research namely(1)SVM,(2)GrabCut segmentation,(3)HMM,and(4)k-mean clustering *** this framework,on the one hand,phase one is to perform the classification of SVM and Graph Cut algorithm to create the maximum margin *** research use GrabCut segmentation method which is the application of the graph cut algorithm and extract the data with the help of scaleinvariant features *** the other hand,in phase two,segment the low-grade tumors and CSF using a method adapted for HMkC and extract the information of tumor or CSF fluid by GCHMkC including iterative conditional maximizing mode(ICMM)with identifying the range of *** evaluation is also performing by the comparison of existing techniques in this *** conclusion,our proposed model gives better results than *** proposed model helps to common man and doctor that can identify their condition of brain *** future,this will model will use for other brain related diseases.
