Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a common malignant tumor in hematological diseases, and its incidence increases year by year. The membrane protein CD138 interacts with the proliferation and evolution of cancer cells during the development of MM. It is an important basis for the diagnosis of MM to obtain the data of malignant plasma cell membrane protein CD138 by single molecule localization microscopy and quantify its abnormal expression. The traditional quantitative analysis method has many drawbacks, such as a large amount of data, low speed of calculation and low accuracy. Therefore, we propose a new quantitative clustering analysis method based on machine learning to judge the expression of membrane protein CD138. By fusing the external attention mechanism, the model pays more attention to the statistical characteristics of complete membrane protein data samples, and accurately quantifies the expression of CD138 in the cluster. In addition, the quantitative analysis of the clustering results in this paper provides convenience for pathologists to study the interactions between proteins. Finally, this article uses simulation data and experimental data of membrane protein CD138 to verify the accuracy and feasibility of the algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Time series classification has gained significant attention in the data mining field in recent years. Despite the proposal of numerous methods over the past decades, most of these approaches focus on feature extraction in one-dimensional space, which often results in lower classification accuracy. To address this issue, this paper proposes a Time Series Classification method based on U-Net with 2D transformation (TSC-Unet). This method first transforms univariate time series into 2D space and augments the data, effectively enhancing the diversity of the dataset. Subsequently, features are extracted from the 2D space using a fully convolutional network, fully exploiting multi-scale feature information. U-Netwith skip connections, effectively retains and transmits high-resolution features, significantly reducing information loss and improving segmentation performance. Additionally, the ability to learn multi-scale features enables the model to capture details at different levels, thereby enhancing its understanding of complex data. Experimental results demonstrate that TSC-Unet achieves high classification accuracy on the UCR datasets, validating the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method. © 2024 IEEE.

Enhancing Deep Reinforcement Learning with Scenario-Based Modeling

Deep reinforcement learning agents have achieved unprecedented results when learning to generalize from unstructured data. However, the “black-box” nature of the trained DRL agents makes it difficult to ensure that they adhere to various requirements posed by engineers. In this work, we put forth a novel technique for enhancing the reinforcement learning training loop, and specifically—its reward function, in a way that allows engineers to directly inject their expert knowledge into the training process. This allows us to make the trained agent adhere to multiple constraints of interest. Moreover, using scenario-based modeling techniques, our method allows users to formulate the defined constraints using advanced, well-established, behavioral modeling methods. This combination of such modeling methods together with ML learning tools produces agents that are both high performing and more likely to adhere to prescribed constraints. Furthermore, the resulting agents are more transparent and hence more maintainable. We demonstrate our technique by evaluating it on a case study from the domain of internet congestion control, and present promising results. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Reinforcement learning has been successfully applied in software testing, but the existing testing methods cannot perform effective testing according to the characteristics of applications, and using outdated interactive experience during training, resulting in inefficient testing. In this paper, we propose BSDRTesting. Firstly, the demonstration experience of human users is collected according to the functional scenarios and business logic of each application, and combining reinforcement learning and imitation learning to maximize rewards while imitating user behavior, experience replay aims to sample experiences from the agent's self-exploration and expert demonstrations to improve sampling efficiency. At the same time, according to the input rules, the black-box testing method is used to fully test the input events, and finally an experience filtering mechanism is proposed, and the reward value and TD-Error are used as the basis for priority sampling. The experimental results on 10 open source applications show BSDRTesting has achieved significant improvements in code coverage and branch coverage compared with existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.

This proposal outlines the development of a comprehensive educational platform aimed at bridging the information Technology knowledge gap among Tamil-speaking students in Sri Lanka. The platform is designed to enhance programming skills through personalized quizzes, hands-on projects, and adaptive learning models. The application focuses on two primary components: the first component emphasizes project-based learning and assessments, leveraging advanced Artificial Intelligence models for generating educational content. This model is combined with Retrieval-Augmented Generation, which retrieves relevant external information to refine and tailor the educational content to each student's needs. This component keeps students engaged and challenged at appropriate levels, promoting deeper understanding and practical information Technology skills. The second component involves a Level-based IT Fundamental Knowledge Evaluation system, which incorporates machine learning algorithms to predict student performance, recommend customized learning paths, and assess overall technical knowledge. The platform also integrates the OpenAI Application Programming Interface, which provides real-time Tamil translation, making the content more accessible to the target demographic. The platform empowers educators to better address individual student needs with real-time feedback and tailored experiences. Learning to generate motions of thin structures such as plant leaves in dynamic view synthesis is challenging. This is because thin structures usually undergo small but fast, non-rigid motions as they interact with air and wind. When given a set of RGB images or videos of a scene with moving thin structures as input, existing methods that map the scene to its corresponding canonical space for rendering novel views fail as the object movements are too subtle compared to the background. Disentangling the objects with thin parts from the background scene is also challenging when the parts show fast and rapid motions. To address these issues, we propose a Neural Radiance Field (NeRF)-based framework that accurately reconstructs thin structures such as leaves and captures their subtle, fast motions. The framework learns the geometry of a scene by mapping the dynamic images to a canonical scene in which the scene remains static. We propose a ray masking network to further decompose the canonical scene into foreground and background, thus enabling the network to focus more on foreground movements. We conducted experiments using a dataset containing thin structures such as leaves and petals, which include image sequences collected by us and one public image sequence. Medical Visual Language Pretraining (MVLP) utilizes textual reports for weak supervision to improve the learning of medical visual representations, showing promise in various medical image analysis tasks. While previous studies have focused on image and report correspondences within the same instances, they have overlooked high-level semantic associations, such as disease-level semantic correspondences, across different instances. To address this issue, we propose an Advanced Semantic information Guided Multi-Scale Alignment Framework (ASIMSA) with two main modules: 1) Image-Report Alignment (IRA) module for learning shared representations between image and report of the same instance, and 2) Disease-Entity Alignment (DEA) module for learning disease entity correspondences across different instances. Extensive experiments on zero-shot classification, fine-tune classification, and semantic segmentation tasks validate the effectiveness of our proposed method, demonstrating its stable and superior performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Road safety is of prime importance as road accidents are among the biggest causes of deaths in the country. Road Accidents are majorly due to violators and lawbreakers of road safety rules like not wearing helmets, triple riding etc. Even though there are many smart systems to monitor these violations, it is complicated to keep a track of the data and view it efficiently anywhere. Also monitoring the permit details of other state vehicles is hard. A method was proposed to address this issue. based on Deep learning and Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Here we detect the riders not wearing helmet and triple riders using object detection by comparing YOLOv2 and YOLOv3. This simplifies the task of traffic police who can't continuously and efficiently monitor all the violators. We gathered our data from three different sources. Kaggle was used to collect the data set. A number of items can be recognized by the real-time object recognition system YOLO in a single frame. It recognizes object more precisely and faster than other recognition systems. It can predict up to 9000 classes and even unseen classes. It divides the image into m∗m matrix and each grid detects objects within itself. The trained model is tested using a test dataset set after training in order to measure the performance. For Number plate detection we use OCR based character recognition. The recognized license plate images of violators are captured and stored in a database which is then sent to the concerned department. The stored data can be easily accessed using the developed mobile app. Metrics considered for evaluation is Accuracy. The average is utilized to assess object detection models like R-CNN and YOLO. The average calculates a score by comparing the detected box to the ground-truth bounding box. The better the score, the more precise the model's detections are. When compared to YOLOv2, YOLOv3 exhibits strong performance in terms of accuracy with 95.5%. © 2023 IEEE.

Fast target-aware learning for few-shot video object segmentation

Few-shot video object segmentation(FSVOS) aims to segment a specific object throughout a video sequence when only the first-frame annotation is given. In this study, we develop a fast target-aware learning approach for FSVOS, where the proposed approach adapts to new video sequences from its firstframe annotation through a lightweight procedure. The proposed network comprises two models. First, the meta knowledge model learns the general semantic features for the input video image and up-samples the coarse predicted mask to the original image size. Second, the target model adapts quickly from the limited support set. Concretely, during the online inference for testing the video, we first employ fast optimization techniques to train a powerful target model by minimizing the segmentation error in the first frame and then use it to predict the subsequent frames. During the offline training, we use a bilevel-optimization strategy to mimic the full testing procedure to train the meta knowledge model across multiple video *** proposed method is trained only on an individual public video object segmentation(VOS) benchmark without additional training sets and compared favorably with state-of-the-art methods on DAVIS-2017, with a J &F overall score of 71.6%, and on YouT ubeVOS-2018, with a J &F overall score of 75.4%. Meanwhile,a high inference speed of approximately 0.13 s per frame is maintained.
