Project management is important for the success of a software project. Enhancing software project management effectiveness measurements should lead the project manager to advance practices that contribute to the successful development of software projects. This study aims to enhance project management effectiveness measurements in the direction of increase the likelihood of software project success. An enhanced evaluation model of software project management effectiveness has been proposed in this study. Correspondingly, the model fed into a developed software project management effectiveness evaluation tool. This measurement tool helps software development managers to evaluate, monitor and improve project management effectiveness in software projects. The developed software project management effectiveness evaluation tool has been validated by a feedback survey. Feedback survey participants have been demonstrated the importance of the developed project management effectiveness measurement tool.

With the progress of sensor technologies, there has been an increase in the number of connected computing devices capable of collecting information and interacting with the environment in which they are inserted, forming the basis of the Internet of Things (IoT). Such devices enable the development of new applications capable of making cities more intelligent, providing improvements to society and urban infrastructure. As a result of the interaction between different applications, there is a large set of data, from which useful knowledge can be extracted. An important problem to be faced is the recurrent occurrence of arbovirus outbreaks in big cities with tropical climate. This research proposes an architecture capable of aggregating data from different types of IoT devices, and manipulating them using data analytics techniques to assist the surveillance of arbovirus outbreaks. As an example of case study, we present an exploratory analysis of climatology data and cases of arbovirus diseases in the city of Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil, between the years of 2011 and 2017.

The task of deducing three-dimensional molecular configurations from their two-dimensional graph representations holds paramount importance in the fields of computational chemistry and pharmaceutical development. This process significantly contributes to our comprehension of molecular mechanisms and interactions. The rapid advancement of machine learning, particularly within the domain of deep generative networks, has revolutionized the precision of predictive modeling in this context. Traditional approaches often adopt a two-step strategy: initially estimating interatomic distances and subsequently refining the spatial molecular structure by solving a distance geometry problem. However, this sequential approach occasionally falls short in accurately capturing the intricacies of local atomic arrangements, thereby compromising the fidelity of the resulting structural models. Addressing these limitations, this research introduces a cutting-edge generative framework named DDGF. This framework is grounded in the principles of diffusion observed in classical non-equilibrium thermodynamics. DDGF views atoms as discrete entities and excels in guiding the reversal of diffusion, transforming a distribution of stochastic noise back into coherent molecular structures through a process akin to a Markov chain. This transformation commences with the initial representation of a molecular graph in an abstract latent space, culminating in the realization of three-dimensional structures via a sophisticated bilevel optimization scheme meticulously tailored to meet the specific requirements of the task. With the increasing frequency of extreme weather events and natural disasters, insurance providers around the world are facing enormous challenges. This study addresses insurance claims resulting from these disasters by developing a comprehensive disaster insurance risk assessment model, focusing on Japan, a country prone to frequent earthquakes. The model integrates a Catastrophe Model, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and an expert scoring method to optimize the risk assessment and compensation process for historic buildings. The results show that the model has strong predictive power, which provides valuable insights for insurance companies, policymakers, and urban planners in mitigating the impact of disasters and protecting cultural heritage.
