The Paper explores different aspects of deep learning techniques and neural networks in the fields of healthcare, time-series forecasting, agriculture, and other relevant sectors through soft computing. The objective of the report is to examine the significant potential and applications of neural networks. While machine learning techniques called neural networks (NN) are utilized for audio, picture, and the processing of natural languages, it has huge implications in robotics where several machine learning algorithms are significantly required. Improvements in deep machine learning are also investigated in the article specifically in the fields of drug construction, genetics, recognizing faces, farming, biological medicine, biological informatics, medical treatment, natural language, multimedia analysis of data, and mobility prediction. However black box challenges and privacy concerns with data are often ignored in this research. The paper also outlines deep learning-driven data mining techniques for precisely predicting, displaying, evaluating, and classifying data. The report has also emphasized on addressing the potential privacy concerns and challenges associated to information representation. By reviewing recent literature sources about neural network techniques, the study proposes innovation strategies and potential improvement areas for the development of advanced technologies like deep learning and neural networks while addressing the key privacy concerns in data processing.

As autonomous vehicles (AVs) become increasingly widespread, the intelligent driving control and safety concerns have emerged. Recent advents in Internet of Things (IoTs) and 6G technologies have vastly boosted AVs’ sensing and communication capabilities, thereby enabling the high-speed and real-time data exchange. However, efficiently utilizing data while safeguarding the privacy remains challenges. Thus, we propose a federated learning (FL) framework with the privacy protection to facilitate the deep reinforcement learning (DRL) for longitudinal vehicle safety tracking control. First, the proposed framework enables the efficient information sharing and policy updates via encrypted policy gradient transmission. Then, the twin delayed deep deterministic policy gradient (TD3) method makes the velocity decision in the local model, while the dual long short-term memory (LSTM) network captures the temporal trajectory information. Finally, stacked denoising autoencoders (SDAE) is used to extract high-level environmental features, and the dual-LSTM-TD3 (DLT3)-SDAE model is introduced to enhance the policy decision efficiency and accuracy. Experimental results demonstrate that within the FL framework supported by homomorphic encryption, the DLT3-SDAE-based AV agent surpasses other DRL methods in terms of collision avoidance and average rewards, in the LAF environment. The safety, efficiency and comfort of the DLT3-SDAE AV agent are also evaluated and demonstrated. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

This paper investigates the potential effects that user gender information has on online sexism detection, in terms of both binary and multi class detection. Social media has recently developed into a center for sexist posts that target especially women. Since most sexist comments are made especially against people of a particular gender, whether the gender information of the users could be effective or not for sexism detection, is still an important question. Here we try to address this issue using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning models. Experiments showed that combining user gender information with textual features improved classification performance both in terms of binary classification and multi class classification. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy is demonstrated by the experimental results reported in this research.

The evolution of intelligent transport systems (ITS) has significantly enhanced driving experiences in vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANET), crucial for improving road safety and traffic efficiency. Despite these advancements, challenges persist. Trust management solutions often assume user legitimacy without verification. Moreover, the need for reauthentication as vehicles move between RSUs adds computational complexity. VANET is relatively vulnerable to security threats from multiple parties given its highly dynamic topology and its wireless and heterogeneous communication mode. We have expanded upon Maria et al.’s schema by specifically targeting and resolving significant shortcomings in their research. More precisely, we improve the features related to confirming the identity of users, preventing vehicles from being used without authorization, and continuously monitoring their current location in order to strengthen the security of vehicles and increase user involvement. We suggest implementing a schema that utilizes QR code verification to authenticate vehicle users, specifically targeting these difficulties. In VANETs, blockchain has been adopted with the authentication process for fog computing. The result is that there is no need for trusted authority (TA) while achieving privacy within the blockchain network and ensuring of the vehicle user authentication and the integrity of messages. Several key benefits have been achieved, such as blocking malicious entities and the potential damage they cause, enabling the revocation of malicious vehicles by conditional anonymization, as well as simplifying conflict resolution. Likewise, the proposed work was characterized by achieving an effective balance between effectiveness and complexity, protecting privacy, conditional tracking, ensuring integrity, and anonymous authentication.

The advancements in aircraft technology, particularly the increased electrification of aircraft, have introduced complexities in designing and integrating electrical systems. Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation is recognized as a crucial tool in the aerospace industry, utilizing Field-programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) for their high-speed data processing and low latency. This paper presents a method for accurate real-time simulation of cable harnesses in modern aircrafts, employing Frequency-Dependent Network Equivalent (FDNE) models and FPGAs. The implementation methodology and results of the FPGA-based HIL simulation are presented and discussed. Various equivalent models with different data types are evaluated to determine achievable time-step and resource consumption. Results show the effectiveness of the proposed method in achieving sub-microsecond time-step.

The integration of 5G and VANET will result in an intelligent transportation system. Relay of 5G data from mobile networks to VANET which is greatly underutilized can reduce the burden on mobile networks. Wireless technology has been used in vehicles or better known as the Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET). One of the keys to the success of sending data on VANET is the Path Selection Algorithm which is the task of the routing protocol the routing protocol that is widely used in research in the VANET environment is AODV (Adhoc On-Demand Distance Vector), because among other protocols, AODV is the most suitable and suitable for implementation in the VANET environment, and AODV is also one of the reactive routing protocols. This study includes an increase in the performance of a routing protocol, so in this study, the SIN (Static Intersection Node) is added to the RSU (Road-Side Unit) which is located at an intersection. Which functions as a repeater that helps send data packets to other vehicles around it so that it can increase the Packet Delivery Ratio and minimize Packet Loss and End to End Delay the focus of this research is to determine the most ideal Static Intersection Node position as well as the most effective number of Static Intersection Nodes. © 2021 IEEE.

It is important to figure out the patterns of woven fabrics before producing woven fabric with a machine. Recognition of woven fabric pattern usually with the help of the human eye can understand the fabric pattern. However, this manual checking takes a lot of time, money, and work, which will raise the cost of making woven fabrics. This study uses the VGG16, VGG19, MobileNet, and Inception-V3 methods to classify woven fabric patterns. It also wants to see how fine-tuning method can help algorithms be more accurate at classifying images. The research was divided into four phases, including image acquisition, image preprocessing, image classification and evaluation. A total of 978 pictures of motifs included in the research dataset. There are 351 images for the cotton class, 76 images for linen, 195 images for silk, and 356 images for wool. As the result, the highest testing accuracy was in the Inception-V3 experiment (with fine-tuning) of 72.51%, and the lowest was in the VGG19 experiment (with fine-tuning) of 52.92%. © 2022 ICIC International.

The diffusion model has lately been shown to achieve remarkable performances through its ability of generating high quality images. However, current diffusion model studies consider only learning from a single data distribution, resulting in catastrophic forgetting when attempting to learn new data. In this paper, we explore a more realistic learning scenario where training data is continuously acquired. We propose the Dynamic Expansion Diffusion Model (DEDM) for addressing catastrophic forgetting and data distribution shifts under Online Task-Free Continual Learning (OTFCL) paradigm. New diffusion components are added to a mixture model following the evaluation of a criterion which compares the probabilistic representation of the new data with the existing knowledge of the DEDM model. In addition, to maintain an optimal architecture, we propose a component discovery approach that ensures the diversity of knowledge while minimizing the total number of parameters in the DEDM. Furthermore, we show how the proposed DEDM can be implemented as a teacher module in a unified framework for representation learning. In this approach, knowledge distillation is proposed for training a student module aiming to compress the teacher’s knowledge into the latent space of the student. A sentiment analysis scheme for image and text comments based on multimodal deep learning and spatiotemporal attention is proposed to address the issues of incomplete spatiotemporal considerations, incomplete implementation details, and cutting-edge theoretical algorithms in graphic and textual sentiment analysis schemes. The proposed model has clear layering including data preprocessing layer, modal encoding layer, modal fusion layer, sentiment classification layer, loss function and optimizer, evaluation and feedback. The implementation details of each layer are introduced. The entire scheme model incorporates Multimodal Fusion Neural Network (MFNN) deep learning and spatiotemporal attention mechanism, which makes the scheme perform well in terms of security, robustness and performance, making up for the shortcomings of existing research schemes.

Automatic liver tumor detection from computed tomography (CT) makes clinical examinations more accurate. However, deep learning-based detection algorithms are characterized by high sensitivity and low precision, which hinders diagnosis given that false-positive tumors must first be identified and excluded. These false positives arise because detection models incorrectly identify partial volume artifacts as lesions, which in turn stems from the inability to learn the perihepatic structure from a global perspective. To overcome this limitation, we propose a novel slice-fusion method in which mining the global structural relationship between the tissues in the target CT slices and fusing the features of adjacent slices according to the importance of the tissues. Furthermore, we design a new network based on our slice-fusion method and Mask R-CNN detection model, called Pinpoint-Net. We evaluated proposed model on the Liver Tumor Segmentation Challenge (LiTS) dataset and our liver metastases dataset. Experiments demonstrated that our slice-fusion method not only enhance tumor detection ability via reducing the number of false-positive tumors smaller than 10mm, but also improve segmentation performance. Without bells and whistles, a single Pinpoint-Net showed outstanding performance in liver tumor detection and segmentation on LiTS test dataset compared with other state-of-the-art models. © 2004-2012 IEEE.
