Surrogate-assisted evolutionary algorithms (SAEAs) have demonstrated promising optimization performance in addressing expensive dynamic optimization problems or expensive multimodal optimization problems. However, none of existing SAEAs are designed specifically for tackling expensive dynamic multimodal optimization problems (EDMMOPs). Therefore, in this paper, a first SAEA for tackling EDMMOPs is proposed. First, a nearest density clustering is designed to divide the population into a number of subpopulations, enhancing the diversity of the population. Then, a surrogate-assisted evolutionary optimizer is developed to construct surrogate models for each subpopulation and evolve all solutions in subpopulations by means of the built surrogate models, accelerating the population's converge towards several optimal solutions rapidly. Finally, a transfer learning-based prediction is devised to generate initial samples for next environment by leveraging the stored training samples in the previous environments. To assess the performance of our proposed algorithm, a set of complex benchmark problems is adopted, and the experimental results confirm its superior performance over several competitive algorithms on most test cases. © 2024 IEEE.

Benefiting from the rapid advancements in Deep Learning (DL), data-driven features exhibit remarkable separability in PolSAR image classification. However, data-driven features are challenging to interpret and susceptible to resolution and noise. On the contrary, polarimetric features based on the target decomposition not only have high robustness, but also has physical interpretability. Consequently, researchers have begun to explore ways to integrate both types of features to achieve enhanced performance, which typically concat the data-driven features and polarimetric features directly. However, polarimetric features are not stable in separability, which is because the inherent defects of the target decomposition algorithm. To mitigate the adverse effects of low-quality features, this paper proposes a trusted polarimetric feature fusion (TPFF). The new paradigm calculates the confidence of features and employs a novel feature fusion method. The proposed method has been tested on the EMISAR Foulum dataset, with experimental results demonstrating improved classification performance and robustness. © 2023 IEEE.

With the development of digital currencies and 5G technology, blockchain has gained widespread attention and is being used in areas such as healthcare, industry and smart vehicles. Many security issues have also been exposed in the course of blockchain applications. Cryptography can ensure the security of data on the blockchain, the integrity and validity of data as well as the ability to authenticate users and anonymize them. This article therefore examines the cryptography underlying blockchain security issues, providing an overview of cryptographic homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proofs and secure multi-party computation commonly used in blockchains. At the same time, the development of quantum computing is bound to affect existing cryptographic systems, and blockchains applying these cryptographic systems are bound to be hit hard, so this article discusses four of the most promising post-quantum cryptography techniques available: hash-based public key cryptography, code-based public key cryptography, multivariate public key cryptography, and lattice-based public key cryptography. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Drug discovery is an expensive and risky process. To combat the challenges in drug discovery, an increasing number of researchers and pharmaceutical companies recognize the benefits of utilizing computational techniques. Evolutionary computation (EC) offers promise as most drug discovery problems are essentially complex optimization problems beyond conventional optimization algorithms. EC methods have been widely applied to solve these complex optimization problems especially in lead com-pound generation and molecular virtual evaluation, substantially speeding up the process of drug discovery and development. This article presents a comprehensive survey of EC-based drug discovery methods. Particularly, a new taxonomy of the methods is provided and the advantages and limitations of the methods are reviewed. In addition, the potential future directions of EC-based drug discovery are discussed and the publicly available resources including databases and computational tools are compiled for the convenience of researchers seeking to pursue this field. The considerable hazard posed by periprosthetic joint infections underlines the urgent need for the rapid advancement of in-situ drug delivery systems within joint ***,the pursuit of sustained antibacterial efficacy remains a formidable *** this context,we proposed a novel strategy that leverages swelling and erosion mechanisms to facilitate drug release of drug-loaded ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE),thereby ensuring its long-lasting antibacterial *** oxide(PEO),a hydrophilic polymer with fast hydrating ability and high swelling capacity,was incorporated in UHMWPE alongside the antibacterial tea polyphenol(epigallocatechin gallate,EGCG as representative).The swelling of PEO enhanced water infiltration into the matrix,while the erosion of PEO balanced the release of the encapsulated EGCG,resulting in a steady *** behavior was supported by the EGCG release profiles and the corresponding fitted release kinetic *** demonstrated by segmented antibacterial assessments,the antibacterial efficiency was enhanced 2to 3 times in the PEO/EGCG/UHMWPE composite compared to that of EGCG/***,the PEO/EGCG/UHMWPE composite exhibited favorable biocompatibility and mechanical performance,making it a potential candidate for the development of drug-releasing joint implants to combat prosthetic bacterial infections.

As the underlying implementation technology of the current main-stream digital currency, blockchain can establish a trusted distributed system without relying on third-party trusted institutions or a privacy-protect system. The decentralized characteristics of blockchain have broad application scenarios, such as the Internet of Things, financial technology and other fields. However, the scalability of the current blockchain is seriously insufficient, such as limited throughput in performance, small storage capacity, and difficulty in scaling functions. This paper introduces the definition and technical classification of scalability, analyzes the current problems of scalability and briefly introduces the current main-stream expandable technologies such as sharding, on-chain and off-chain storage, off-chain payment channel and cross-chain technology from two aspects of performance and function, as well as the principles and ideas of these technologies. Internet of Medical Things(IoMT)plays an essential role in collecting and managing personal medical *** recent years,blockchain technology has put power in traditional IoMT systems for data sharing between different medical institutions and improved the utilization of medical ***,some problems in the information transfer process between wireless medical devices and mobile medical apps,such as information leakage and privacy *** paper first designs a cross-device key agreement model for blockchain-enabled *** model can establish a key agreement mechanism for secure medical data ***,a certificateless authenticated key agreement(KA)protocol has been proposed to strengthen the information transfer security in the cross-device key agreement *** proposed KA protocol only requires one exchange of messages between the two parties,which can improve the protocol execution ***,any unauthorized tampering of the transmitted signed message sent by the sender can be detected by the receiver,so this can guarantee the success of the establishment of a session key between the strange *** blockchain ledger can ensure that the medical data cannot be tampered with,and the certificateless mechanism can weaken the key escrow ***,the security proof and performance analysis are given,which show that the proposed model and KA protocol are more secure and efficient than other schemes in similar literature.

Community Smell Occurrence Prediction on Multi-Granularity by Developer-Oriented Features and Process Metrics

Community smells are sub-optimal developer community structures that hinder *** studies performed smell prediction and provided refactoring guidelines from a top-down aspect to help community ***,refactoring smells also requires bottom-up effort from every ***,supportive measures and guidelines for them are not available at a fine-grained *** recent work revealed developers'personalities and working states could influence community smells'emergence and variation,we build prediction models with experience,sentiment,and development process features of developers considering three smells including Organizational Silo,Lone Wolf,and Bottleneck,as well as two related classes including smelly developer and smelly *** predict the five classes in the individual granularity,and we also generate forecasts for the number of smelly developers in the community *** proposed models achieve F-measures ranging from 0.73 to 0.92 in individual-wide within-project,time-wise,and cross-project prediction,and mean R2 performance of 0.68 in community-wide Smelly Developer *** also exploit SHAP(SHapley Additive exPlanations)to assess feature importance to explain our *** conclusion,we suggest developers with heavy workload should foster more frequent communication in a straightforward and polite way to build healthier communities,and we recommend community shepherds to use the forecasting model for refactoring planning.

We present a novel approach for the prediction of crystal material properties that is distinct from the computationally complex and expensive density functional theory(DFT)-based ***,we utilize an attention-based graph neural network that yields high-accuracy *** approach employs two attention mechanisms that allow for message passing on the crystal graphs,which in turn enable the model to selectively attend to pertinent atoms and their local environments,thereby improving *** conduct comprehensive experiments to validate our approach,which demonstrates that our method surpasses existing methods in terms of predictive *** results suggest that deep learning,particularly attention-based networks,holds significant promise for predicting crystal material properties,with implications for material discovery and the refined intelligent systems.
