Due to the complexity and urgency of information exchange in modern companies, optimizing communication protocols in the workplace is essential. Using methods from machine learning, this research takes a fresh tack toward optimizing the performance of communication protocols. The suggested approach integrates Reinforcement Learning (RL), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), and Genetic Algorithms (GAs) to provide a self-optimizing system with dynamic behavior. The RL feature facilitates this protocol's flexibility in the face of dynamic network circumstances by providing rapid feedback. CNNs are used for real-time anomaly detection to improve safety and dependability. GAs methodically explores combinations of protocol parameters to determine the optimal collection that matches specified performance criteria. The recommended technique was compared to the usual methodology using a variety of efficiency and reliability measures. The findings demonstrate that the proposed approach frequently outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in a broad range of commercial settings with regards to efficiency, dependability, and adaptability. Understanding how to enhance industrial communication protocols is crucial in the age of Industry 4.0 and the IIoT. The recommended solution offers an autonomous, adaptable, and secure tool for boosting communication in dynamic production situations. © 2024 IEEE.

Reinforcement learning based energy efficient robot relay for unmanned aerial vehicles against smart jamming

Unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) with limited energy resources, severe path loss, and shadowing to the ground base stations are vulnerable to smart jammers that aim to degrade the UAV communication performance and exhaust the UAV energy. The UAV anti-jamming communication performance, such as the outage probability, degrades if the robot relay is not aware of the jamming policies and the UAV network topology. In this paper, we propose a robot relay scheme for UAVs against smart jamming, which combines reinforcement learning with a function approximation approach named tile coding, to jointly optimize the robot moving distance and relay power with the unknown jamming channel states and locations. The robot mobility and relay policy are chosen based on the received jamming power, the robot received signal quality,location and energy consumption, and the bit error rate of the UAV messages. We also present a deep reinforcement learning version for the robot with sufficient computing resources. It uses three deep neural networks to choose the robot mobility and relay policy with reduced sample complexity, so as to avoid exploring dangerous policies that lead to the high outage probability of the UAV messages. The network architecture of the three networks is designed with fully connected layers instead of convolutional layers to reduce the computational complexity, which is analyzed by theoretical analyses. We provide the performance bound of the proposed schemes in terms of the bit error rate, robot energy consumption and utility based on a game-theoretic study. Simulation results show that the performance of our proposed relay schemes,including the bit error rate, the outage probability, and the robot energy consumption outperforms the existing schemes.

Detection and segmentation of defocus blur is a challenging task in digital imaging applications as the blurry images comprise of blur and sharp regions that wrap significant information and require effective methods for information *** defocus blur detection and segmentation methods have several limitations i.e.,discriminating sharp smooth and blurred smooth regions,low recognition rate in noisy images,and high computational cost without having any prior knowledge of images i.e.,blur degree and camera ***,there exists a dire need to develop an effective method for defocus blur detection,and segmentation robust to the above-mentioned *** paper presents a novel features descriptor local directional mean patterns(LDMP)for defocus blur detection and employ KNN matting over the detected LDMP-Trimap for the robust segmentation of sharp and blur *** argue/hypothesize that most of the image fields located in blurry regions have significantly less specific local patterns than those in the sharp regions,therefore,proposed LDMP features descriptor should reliably detect the defocus blurred *** fusion of LDMP features with KNN matting provides superior performance in terms of obtaining high-quality segmented regions in the ***,the proposed LDMP features descriptor is robust to noise and successfully detects defocus blur in high-dense noisy *** results on Shi and Zhao datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in terms of defocus blur *** and comparative analysis signify that our method achieves superior segmentation performance and low computational cost of 15 seconds.

This paper designs an epidemic prevention and control mask wearing detection system based on STM32, which is used to monitor the situation of people wearing masks. Tiny-YOLO detection algorithm is adopted in the system, combined with image recognition technology, and two kinds of image data with and without masks are used for network training. Then, the trained model can be used to carry out real-time automatic supervision on the wearing of masks in the surveillance video. When the wrong wearing or not wearing masks are detected, the buzzer will send an alarm, so as to effectively monitor the wearing of masks and remind relevant personnel to wear masks correctly. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

In this research, we look at how well using neural network techniques may improve the processing of near field sensor arrays. As the introduction explains, near field sensor array technology is becoming more important across many fields, therefore there is a pressing need for cutting-edge techniques that improve spatial resolution, signal-to-noise ratio, and computational efficiency. The study presents a unique neural network technique for processing near field sensor arrays, capitalizing on the flexibility and learning characteristics of the network to boost performance. The suggested neural network technique is shown to be better in all measures by the findings. It outperforms more conventional approaches, which only managed a score of 0.78, because of its 0.92 spatial resolution. Furthermore, the suggested technique achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of 18.5, which is much higher than the greatest signal-to-noise ratio produced by conventional methods (15.2). The suggested method is more accurate, with significantly reduced mean absolute error (0.027) and mean squared error (0.001) values. In addition, the suggested method's processing speed is competitive, coming in at 3.8 ms whereas more conventional approaches take between 4.2 and 5.0ms. With an efficiency of 95% in computation, it outperforms the efficiency of conventional approaches, which ranges from 82% to 88%. Medical imaging, environmental monitoring, and wireless communication are just a few of the many potential applications highlighted by the results, validating the efficacy of the suggested technology. The findings call for further investigation and cooperation at the crossroads of sensor technology and deep learning, which should lead to novel processing techniques for near field sensor arrays that may be used in a wide variety of contexts. © 2024 IEEE.

The correlation of security alerts is crucial for effective threat detection and mitigation in modern cybersecurity landscapes. With the exponential growth in the volume of generated alerts, there arises an imperative to continually develop new, efficient methods for alert correlation. The use of Large Language Models (LLMs) presents new avenues for enhancing real-time threat detection in the field of cybersecurity. In this paper, we introduce MCM-Llama, a fine-tuned language model aimed at improving security event correlation for real-time threat detection. Building upon our prior research, we augment the current framework by integrating MCM-Llama and introducing a novel architecture to practically implement our proposition. In doing so, we replace the correlation module previously based on Named Entity Recognition (NER) and semantic similarity with a fine-tuned Large Language Model (LLM). This transition allows us to capitalize on the advanced capabilities of LLM in comprehending and correlating security events dynamically. Through this enhancement, we aim to significantly improve the accuracy and efficiency of our threat detection system while leveraging the full potential of LLM technology in cybersecurity. Our experimental results validate the efficacy of the proposed approach by significantly improving the correlation rate, thereby reinforcing the pivotal role of Large Language Models (LLMs) in advancing security event correlation and threat detection methodologies. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces a comprehensive framework for intent-based management of networks, security, and applications in software-defined vehicles (SDVs) within 5G networks. To address the complexities and operational challenges of traditional network management, we propose an Intent-Based system (IBS) that simplifies the administration process by converting highlevel policies into actionable commands or configurations. The practical applicability and robustness of this approach are demonstrated through a testbed implemented using the free5GC platform.
