One of the crucial approaches that use tracking and analyzing human movement for the identification of functional disorders and illnesses of the human body is known as the gait analysis method. This method helps diagnose neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. It also tracks the effectiveness of rehabilitation. However, conventional techniques for analyzing gait frequently depend on costly items and methods like fixed lab apparatus, force plates, and motion capture devices. But new developments in wearable sensor technology and machine learning provide new methods that are cheaper, more affordable, portable, and easily accessible. It continuously tracks gait in real-world settings. In this work, the use of wearable sensors for gait analysis, which includes devices like magnetometers, gyroscopes, and accelerometers, is examined. They are integrated into gadgets like smartphones, insoles, and smartwatches and offer real-time kinematic data that machine learning algorithms can analyze. Some of the important gait parameters 1that are extracted from sensor data are stride length, cadence, and gait symmetry. Machine learning is used to process this data and use it for categorization and gait analysis. The suggested method improves patient monitoring outside of clinical settings. It supports individualized rehabilitation plans and also identifies early indicators of gait abnormalities. The use of the wearable sensor-based gait analysis may emerge as a game-changing medical tool. It offers constant, discrete monitoring and prompts intervention in gait-related disorders. This works explains it thoroughly. This report offers insights for upcoming researchers in the field by surveying the state of the art in wearable sensor-based gait analysis. © 2025 IEEE.

In this work, we introduce a class of black-box(BB) reductions called committed-programming reduction(CPRed) in the random oracle model(ROM) and obtain the following interesting results:(1) we demonstrate that some well-known schemes, including the full-domain hash(FDH) signature(Eurocrypt1996) and the Boneh-Franklin identity-based encryption(IBE) scheme(Crypto 2001), are provably secure under CPReds;(2) we prove that a CPRed associated with an instance-extraction algorithm implies a reduction in the quantum ROM(QROM). This unifies several recent results, including the security of the Gentry-Peikert-Vaikuntanathan IBE scheme by Zhandry(Crypto 2012) and the key encapsulation mechanism(KEM) variants using the Fujisaki-Okamoto transform by Jiang et al.(Crypto 2018) in the ***, we show that CPReds are incomparable to non-programming reductions(NPReds) and randomly-programming reductions(RPReds) formalized by Fischlin et al.(Asiacrypt 2010).

MangoLeafXNet: An Explainable Deep Learning Model for Accurate Mango Leaf Disease Classification

Addressing the global challenge of ensuring a consistent and abundant supply of fresh fruit, particularly in the context of fruit crops, is hindered by the prevalence of plant diseases. These diseases directly impact the quality of fruits, leading to a decline in overall agricultural production. Mango leaf diseases pose significant threats to global mango production, necessitating accurate and efficient classification techniques for timely disease management. Our study focuses on introducing MangoLeafXNet, a customized Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture specifically tailored for the classification of mango leaf diseases, along with a healthy class. Our proposed model comprises six layers optimized to capture intricate disease patterns, demonstrating superior performance compared with prevalent pre-trained models. The model is trained and evaluated on three publicly available datasets: MangoLeafBD (4000 images across 8 classes), MangoPest (16 pest classes including healthy leaves), and MLDID (3000 high-resolution images across 5 classes). Our model demonstrated exceptional classification performance, attaining 99.8% accuracy, 99.62% recall, 99.5% precision, and an F1-score of 99.56%. Further validation on the MangoPest dataset and the Mango Leaf Disease Identification Dataset (MLDID) resulted in accuracies of 96.31% and 96.33%, respectively, confirming the robustness and adaptability of MangoLeafXNet across different datasets. Additionally, we incorporate Explainable AI techniques, including GRAD-CAM, Saliency Map, and LIME to enhance the interpretability of our model. We deployed Gradio web interface to create an interactive interface that allows users to upload images of mango leaves and get real-time classification and validation results along with confidence scores. This contribution not only advances the state-of-the-art in mango leaf disease classification but also offers promising prospects for real-time disease diagnosis and precision agriculture

Rural areas in India, such as Randullabad village in Satara, are facing significant water challenges related to UN SDG6. It includes inadequate water supply, inefficient distribution, and poor water quality. Current methods of water governance rely on manual data collection and limited use of sensors. This leads to lack of modelling, inaccurate estimation, delayed response times, and inefficient decision-making. These limitations results in water-related conflicts, water-wastage, and economic losses. To address these issues, a digital twin approach is proposed for sustainable water management. This approach integrates existing and historical data with new data from advanced sensors, using machine learning algorithms to create a virtual replica of the village's water supply network. The proposed methodology and high-level implementation architecture of Digital Twin of Randullabad Watershed and Groundwater (DToGW) could set new water-governance standards at the village level and potentially transform water management in rural communities. © 2024 IEEE.

The current COVID-19 epidemic is responsible for causing a catastrophe on a global scale due to its risky spread. The community’s insecurity is growing as a result of a lack of appropriate remedial measures and immunization against the disease. In this case, social distancing is thought to be an effective barrier against the spread of the contagion virus as the risk of virus transmission can be reduced by avoiding direct contact with people. Thus, the goal of this research is to develop and improve an AI (Artificial Intelligence) system architecture for social distance monitoring. The framework could also use the GPS (Global Positioning System) to recognize human separation through cell phones. The transition learning framework is also applied to improve the consistency of the existing system. In this manner, the detection system uses a pre-trained technique that takes a Bluetooth dataset and location-sharing dataset to link to an additional level. In an attempt to approximate social distancing breaches among people, we used Bluetooth technology along with GPS distance estimation and set a threshold. To predict if the distance value exceeds the required social distance standard, a violation threshold is calculated and then it sends an alarm to every individual who is not maintaining social distancing. In response, the individual who breaks the social distance limit is also monitored using a detection approach. © 2025 Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea. All rights reserved.

Despite recent significant advancements in Handwritten Document Recognition (HDR), the efficient and accurate recognition of text against complex backgrounds, diverse handwriting styles, and varying document layouts remains a practical challenge. Moreover, this issue is seldom addressed in academic research, particularly in scenarios with minimal annotated data available. In this paper, we introduce the DocTTT framework to address these challenges. The key innovation of our approach is that it uses test-time training to adapt the model to each specific input during testing. We propose a novel Meta-Auxiliary learning approach that combines Meta-learning and self-supervised Masked Autoencoder (MAE). During testing, we adapt the visual representation parameters using a self-supervised MAE loss. During training, we learn the model parameters using a meta-learning framework, so that the model parameters are learned to adapt to a new input effectively. Experimental results show that our proposed method significantly outperforms existing state-of-the-art approaches on benchmark datasets. © 2025 IEEE.

This study presents a deep learning model for efficient intracranial hemorrhage(ICH)detection and subtype classification on non-contrast head computed tomography(CT)*** refers to bleeding in the skull,leading to the most critical life-threatening health condition requiring rapid and accurate *** is classified as intra-axial hemorrhage(intraventricular,intraparenchymal)and extra-axial hemorrhage(subdural,epidural,subarachnoid)based on the bleeding location inside the *** computer-aided diagnoses(CAD)-based schemes have been proposed for ICH detection and classification at both slice and scan ***,these approaches performonly binary classification and suffer from a large number of parameters,which increase storage ***,the accuracy of brain hemorrhage detection in existing models is significantly low for medically critical *** overcome these problems,a fast and efficient system for the automatic detection of ICH is *** designed a double-branch model based on xception architecture that extracts spatial and instant features,concatenates them,and creates the 3D spatial context(common feature vectors)fed to a decision tree classifier for final *** data employed for the experimentation was gathered during the 2019 Radiologist Society of North America(RSNA)brain hemorrhage detection *** model outperformed benchmark models and achieved better accuracy in intraventricular(99.49%),subarachnoid(99.49%),intraparenchymal(99.10%),and subdural(98.09%)categories,thereby justifying the performance of the proposed double-branch xception architecture for ICH detection and classification.

This paper investigates the application of GradCAM, an explainable AI (XAI) technique, to enhance the transparency and precision of fingerprint authentication systems in forensics, particularly in detecting fingerprint mutilation-a common method used to evade biometric security measures. Employing the SOCOfing dataset, which contains both unaltered and synthetically altered fingerprint images, we apply GradCAM to visualize and understand the decision-making process of a convolutional neural network (CNN) model trained to recognize and classify these alterations. Our study not only demonstrates the model's effectiveness in identifying different types of fingerprint modifications but also identifies areas where the model's performance can be enhanced. Through detailed visual analysis, we uncover the model's focus points and assess its reliability across various alteration types and difficulty levels. The insights gained underline the potential of XAI in improving the robustness and reliability of biometric verification systems, paving the way for more secure and equitable AI applications in high-stakes environments. © 2024 IOS Press. The growing field of urban monitoring has increasingly recognized the potential of utilizing autonomous technologies,particularly in drone *** deployment of intelligent drone swarms offers promising solutions for enhancing the efficiency and scope of urban condition *** this context,this paper introduces an innovative algorithm designed to navigate a swarm of drones through urban landscapes for monitoring *** primary challenge addressed by the algorithm is coordinating drone movements from one location to another while circumventing obstacles,such as *** algorithm incorporates three key components to optimize the obstacle detection,navigation,and energy efficiency within a drone ***,the algorithm utilizes a method to calculate the position of a virtual leader,acting as a navigational beacon to influence the overall direction of the ***,the algorithm identifies observers within the swarm based on the current *** further refine obstacle avoidance,the third component involves the calculation of angular velocity using fuzzy *** approach considers the proximity of detected obstacles through operational rangefinders and the target’s location,allowing for a nuanced and adaptable computation of angular *** integration of fuzzy logic enables the drone swarm to adapt to diverse urban conditions dynamically,ensuring practical obstacle *** proposed algorithm demonstrates enhanced performance in the obstacle detection and navigation accuracy through comprehensive *** results suggest that the intelligent obstacle avoidance algorithm holds promise for the safe and efficient deployment of autonomous mobile drones in urban monitoring applications.
