The necessity of achieving an effective balance between minimizing the losses associated with restricting human mobility and ensuring hospital capacity has gained significant attention in the aftermath of COVID-19. Reinforcement learning (RL)-based strategies for human mobility management have recently advanced in addressing the dynamic evolution of cities and epidemics;however, they still face challenges in achieving coordinated control at the township level and adapting to cities of varying scales. To address the above issues, we propose a multi-agent RL approach that achieves Pareto optimality in managing hospital capacity and human mobility (H2-MARL), applicable across cities of different scales. We first develop a township-level infection model with online-updatable parameters to simulate disease transmission and construct a city-wide dynamic spatiotemporal epidemic simulator. On this basis, H2-MARL is designed to treat each division as an agent, with a trade-off dual-objective reward function formulated and an experience replay buffer enriched with expert knowledge built. To evaluate the effectiveness of the model, we construct a township-level human mobility dataset containing over one billion records from four representative cities of varying scales. Extensive experiments demonstrate that H2-MARL has the optimal dual-objective trade-off capability, which can minimize hospital capacity strain while minimizing human mobility restriction loss. Meanwhile, the applicability of the proposed model to epidemic control in cities of varying scales is verified, which showcases its feasibility and versatility in practical applications. Flexible sensors have been widely studied for use in motion monitoring,human‒machine interactions(HMIs),personalized medicine,and soft intelligent ***,their practical application is limited by their low output performance,narrow measuring range,and unidirectional force ***,to achieve flexibility and high performance simultaneously,we developed a flexible wide-range multidimensional force sensor(FWMFS)similar to bones embedded in muscle *** adjustable magnetic field endows the FWMFS with multidimensional perception for detecting forces in different *** multilayer stacked coils significantly improved the output from theμV to the mV level while ensuring FWMFS *** optimized FWMFS exhibited a high voltage sensitivity of 0.227 mV/N(0.5–8.4 N)and 0.047 mV/N(8.4–60 N)in response to normal forces ranging from 0.5 N to 60 N and could detect lateral forces ranging from 0.2–1.1 N and voltage sensitivities of 1.039 mV/N(0.2–0.5 N)and 0.194 mV/N(0.5–1.1 N).In terms of normal force measurements,the FWMFS can monitor finger pressure and sliding trajectories in response to finger taps,as well as measure plantar pressure for assessing human *** plantar pressure signals of five human movements collected by the FWMFS were analyzed using the k-nearest neighbors classification algorithm,which achieved a recognition accuracy of 92%.Additionally,an artificial intelligence biometric authentication system is being developed that classifies and recognizes user *** on the lateral force measurement ability of the FWMFS,the direction of ball movement can be distinguished,and communication systems such as Morse Code can be *** research has significant potential in intelligent sensing and personalized spatial recognition.

In a competitive market, quality is essential to the software. software test plays an important role during the software-developing period. Any saving on software test, will greatly reduce the total cost of software. The key point of this paper is to build a software test process with the cost control management and to make tradeoff between the quality and the cost. Typical software testing model are analyzed and compared. A novel QC 3-D test model is introduced. The model combined with software test process, software quality cost and testing type. The computational formula is defined to calculate software quality cost. A software quality balance law is introduced to balance control cost and failure cost. By adjusting software test method and strategy, organization can reach the objective of the best balance between software quality and cost. An enterprise case is studied and the result is analyzed to prove the basic law. The result shows an optimistic point that will prove the accurate of the model and the law.

The Incremental Commitment Model (ICM) is a new generation process model that focuses on the incremental growth of success critical stakeholder satisfaction, system definition and stakeholder commitment. ICM has been introduced in system engineering, but not software engineering. In the Fall 2008, ICM will be used as a process model to develop software system in University of Southern California (USC) software engineering graduate course. Hence, two significant different software process modeling tools are selected to create the electronic process guidelines for this course. This paper reports our comparative experiences between an adaptability tolerance framework, Eclipse Process Framework Composer (EPFC) and a precision oriented process definition language, Little-JIL in order to create ICM electronic guide. In addition, the paper provides a tool comparison analysis by using Humphrey and Kellner's criteria and a target group experimental result. The evaluation identifies some research challenges and areas for future research work.

While providing correct functionality has been the thrust of most software design efforts, embedded software poses several additional challenges. Among them is designing robust software which can tolerate inaccurate inputs (coming from degraded sensors), failure of software components, and wearing-out of electro-mechanical parts it controls. For this, a design space exploration is performed and several design options are evaluated for their ability to tolerate quality (or accuracy degradation) faults. While a model-based approach enables an early analysis of quality faults, modeling and analyzing the effects of quality faults is a challenge. In this work we propose a quality fault-tolerance analysis framework which is used on operation-level models of embedded software, and an abstraction of quality-faults suitable for this analysis. The proposed method consists of characterizing individual components of the model, and then using the pre-characterized behaviors to quickly evaluate the software design. Characterization is a one-time effort and results of the same can be reused when a new design is evaluated. This results in additional speedup of upto 6-10× faster evaluation of designs, thereby facilitating a quick early evaluation of design options.

The goal of this paper is to model and detect composition conflicts related to introductions. Within this context, we identify several categories of composition conflicts. To analyze the causes of these conflicts precisely, we first model the structure of programs as graphs. Next, we model introductions as graph transformation rules. We define explicit rules to describe when composition conflicts related to introductions occur. We built a prototype tool that detects and visualizes the occurrence of such conflicts in AspectJ programs, making use of an existing graph analysis and rewriting tool. The graph-based models are generated automatically from the source code of Java programs and AspectJ introductions. However, our approach does not make strong assumptions about either the aspect or base language;it has been designed to be applicable to other AOP languages. Copyright 2007 ACM.

Today's software is getting more and more complex and harder to understand. Models help to organize knowledge and emphasize the structure of a software at a higher abstraction level. While the usage of model-driven techniques is widely adopted during software construction, it is still an open research topic if models can also be used to make runtime phenomena more comprehensible as well. It is not obvious which models are suitable for manual analysis and which model elements can be related to what type of runtime events. This paper proposes a collection of runtime event types that can be reused for various systems and meta-models. Based on these event types, information can be derived which help human observers to assess the current system state. Our approach is applied in a case study and evaluated regarding generalisability and completeness by relating it to two different meta-models.

In this paper we describe an approach for preserving personal information, stored on pervasive devices, using a reliable platform. Nowadays, pervasive devices such as mobile phones or personal multimedia players, provide software and hardware capabilities that allow individuals to read and create digital contents. Therefore it is important to provide the ability to archive these contents for later retrieval and use on other platforms. To address this need we introduce an archiving framework and present a working prototype based on this framework. The prototype runs on the Android operating system and enables individuals to archive their pervasive device information for long-term preservation. © 2011 ACM.

software product families are rarely created right away but they emerge when a domain becomes mature enough to sustain their long-term investments. The typical pattern is to start with a small set of products to quickly enter a new market. As soon as the business proves to be successful new investments are directed to consolidating the software assets. The various products are migrated towards a flexible platform where the assets are shared and new products can be derived from. In order to create and maintain the platform, the organization needs to carry out several activities such as recovering the architectures of single products and product families, designing the reference architecture, isolating the variable parts, and generalizing software components. In this paper, we introduce a product family construction process that exploits related systems and product families, and we describe methods and tools used. We also present an approach for classifying platforms according to platform coverage and variation and describe three techniques to handle variability across single products and whole product families. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2004.

Recent changes in the United States telecommunications industry-both regulatory and market driven-provide an environment for integrating wireless and wireline services and the infrastructure used to provide them. Changes in the industry have created competition in local access, deregulation that allows bundling of services and one-stop shopping, and multiple personal communication services (PCS) licensees, each with the desire to differentiate its service offering with value-added capabilities. Integrating wireless and wireline services enables service providers to offer a seamless wireless/wireline service and help control infrastructure and ongoing administrative costs. This paper highlights some advantages for integrating these systems in the U.S. market today. We describe a vision of the long-term services architecture for a functional solution and several near-term product concepts designed to provide an integrated wireless/wireline service.
