Social media has become more than just a communication tool; it's now a rapidly evolving platform for sharing information, including cybersecurity threats like XSS attacks. This study investigates if analyzing collections of tweets can identify those containing XSS attack information. By accurately extracting this information, we can effectively classify tweets as containing or not containing XSS attacks. Our research focuses on evaluating how well feature extraction methods perform in achieving this classification accuracy. As the result, the 2-gram model with TF-IDF Vectorizer might be a more suitable choice with accuracy exceeding 97% and demonstrates better tolerance for overfitting due to the inherent properties of TF-IDF.

Medical errors contribute significantly to morbidity and mortality, emphasizing the critical role of Clinical Guidelines (GLs) in patient care. Automating GL application can enhance GL adherence, improve patient outcomes, and reduce costs. However, several barriers exist to GL implementation and real-time automated support. Challenges include creating a formalized, machine-comprehensible GL representation, and an episodic decision-support system for sporadic treatment advice. This system must accommodate the non-continuous nature of care delivery, including partial actions or partially met treatment goals. We describe the design and implementation of an episodic GL-based clinical decision support system and its retrospective technical evaluation using patient records from a geriatric center. Initial evaluation scores of the e-Picard system were promising, with a mean 94% correctness and 90% completeness based on 50 random pressure ulcer patients. Errors were mainly due to knowledge specification, algorithmic issues, and missing data. Post-corrections, scores improved to 100% correctness and a mean 97% completeness, with missing data still affecting completeness. The results validate the system's capability to assess guideline adherence and provide quality recommendations. Despite initial limitations, we have demonstrated the feasibility of providing, through the e-Picard episodic algorithm, realistic medical decision-making support for noncontinuous, intermittent consultations. © 2024 The Authors.

Applying evidence-based medicine prevents medical errors highlighting the need for applying Clinical Guidelines (CGs) to improve patient care by nurses. However, nurses often face challenges in utilizing CGs due to patient-specific needs. Developing a Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) can provide real-time context-sensitive CG-based recommendations. Therefore, there is a need to acquire and represent CGs in a machine-applicable manner. Also, there is a need to be able to provide recommendations episodically, only when requested, and not continuously, and to assess previous partial performance of evidence-based actions on a continuous scale. This study evaluated the feasibility of acquiring and representing major nursing CGs, in a machine-applicable manner for episodic use. Using data from an Israeli geriatric center, the results suggest that an episodic CDSS effectively supports the application of formalized nursing knowledge. © 2024 The Authors.

Cognitive bias is a phenomenon that has been extensively studied in stock trading and many other fields. This paper presents a framework for a Mobile Stock Trading Simulator (MSTS) that facilitates automatic investment in stocks with minimal human influence, by investigating the behavioral patterns and cognitive errors of stock market investors. The paper aims to determine whether investors' investment strategies can be improved by detecting investment threats and reducing investment errors based on investors' transaction histories. To accomplish this, we built a stock exchange simulator and implemented a decision tree to classify cognitive biases into one of six categories. By incorporating the behavioral patterns and cognitive biases of stock market investors into the MSTS's architecture, and by implementing a decision tree and stock exchange simulator, we can minimize the impact of human influence on automatic investments. © 2023 The Authors. Structure learning of Bayesian networks using sparrow optimization algorithm

Bayesian networks are powerful analytical models in machine learning, used to represent probabilistic relationships among variables and create learning structures. These networks are made up of parameters that show conditional probabilities and a structure that shows how random variables interact with each other. The structure is shown by a directed acyclic graph. Despite the NP-hard nature of learning Bayesian network structures, there has been significant progress in improving the accuracy of approximation solutions. The main focus is on score-based search strategies, which make use of functions to evaluate network models and identify structures with high scores. This study is significantly focused on structure learning Bayesian networks using the Bayesian Dirichlet equivalent uniform scoring function and metaheuristic search strategies. To this end, this paper presents the sparrow optimization algorithm (SOA), a new metaheuristic algorithm derived from the foraging behavior of sparrows. SOA performs a concurrent optimization in the solution space by simultaneously performing a local and global search that leads to the discovery of near-optimal structures. The results from our experiments on several benchmark datasets show that SOA yields overall better performance than SA and greedy search algorithms. In particular, it is claimed that by applying the proposed approach of SOA, the convergence speed is significantly higher compared with the existing ones;F1 score is 0.35 and 0.05 for the Hamming distance with better results. Given these results, signed operators prove to be very efficient in SOA’s Bayesian network structure learning as a concept, especially for real-world use. © (2024), (Society of Sytematic Innovation). This study investigates the application of graph neural networks (GNN) in session-based recommendation systems (SR), focusing on a key modification involving the use of a global vector. Session-based recommendation systems often face challenges in accurately capturing user behavior due to the limited data available within individual sessions. The SR-GNN model, originally designed for automatic feature extraction from session graphs by leveraging rich connections between nodes, addresses these challenges effectively. In our experiments, we replaced the local vector with a global vector representing the entire session sequence, not just the last element. Our results show that both local and global vectors perform comparably, suggesting that the global vector is sufficient to capture the session context. Additionally, our study indicate that the SR-GNN algorithm maintains consistent performance across various datasets, with minor fluctuations depending on the dataset characteristics. The conducted experiments highlight the resilience and adaptability of the SR-GNN model in diverse scenarios, demonstrating its potential for use in session-based recommendation systems. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Parking space is usually very limited in major cities,especially Cairo,leading to traffic congestion,air pollution,and driver *** car parking systems tend to tackle parking issues in a non-digitized *** systems require the drivers to search for an empty parking space with no guaran-tee of finding any wasting time,resources,and causing unnecessary *** address these issues,this paper proposes a digitized parking system with a proof-of-concept implementation that combines multiple technological concepts into one solution with the advantages of using IoT for real-time tracking of park-ing *** authentication and automated payments are handled using a quick response(QR)code on entry and *** experiments were done on real data collected for six different locations in Cairo via a live popular times *** machine learning models were investigated in order to estimate the occu-pancy rate of certain ***,a clear analysis of the differences in per-formance is illustrated with the final model deployed being *** has achieved the most efficient results with a R^(2) score of 85.7%.

One of our society's most fundamental challenges is promoting sustainable development. Data sharing across organizations is one way to spur innovation and address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through optimizing resource utilization, fostering circular supply chains, and producing accurate information about CO2 emissions. However, organizations often hesitate to share data given a range of concerns, including the fear of data misappropriation or the lack of control over what others do with their data. Data spaces as a novel artifact seek to tackle these issues by providing an integrated data management approach upholding data sovereignty. These spaces can boost sustainable development by being a secure and trusted digital infrastructure for organizations to share data for sustainable purposes. Historical and current aerial photographs are only of great value if the geolocation or address of the photographed areas is also available. In Western Europe, especially Austria, Germany and Czech Republic, there is a market for the sale of aerial photographs of one’s own private residential building. Automated geolocation is a feasible way to enable the sales agents to assign the addresses for the sale more quickly. In the course of this research work, a process chain is modeled that allows the assignment of aerial photographs to residential addresses using machine vision. After model-based rectifying the aerial images to compensate for perspective distortions, larger image blocks get assembled using image stitching. The assignment to a 2D reference map, such as satellite imagery via Google Maps, is done by applying a U-Net CNN after extracting durable image features such as roads or buildings. The mapping of aerial imagery to two-dimensional cartography is either automated via registration approaches or based on manually placed corresponding landmarks and homography. Test runs on imagery between the years 1969 and 2020 show that the labor-intensive process of geolocation of aerial imagery can be solved by the proposed process model in a hybrid way. © 2022 The Authors.

Although orthopedics is becoming increasingly important as a medical domain, especially in emerging countries, the level of automation is still marginal and hardly any Industry 4.0 paradigms have been implemented. In this scientific work, solution concepts for holistic process automation in orthopedics are introduced so that prosthetic covers and orthoses for different body regions can be automated by using AI and evaluated with sensor networks. In this process, body scan models are adapted to the conditions of the anatomy or prosthesis models, so that stability as well as fitting accuracy are given in comparison with the other half of the body. Automation in the field of orthopedics leads not only to a significant reduction in costs but can also help to close the research gap regarding objectifiability of results. The first partial aspects have already been successfully implemented for leg prostheses, arm prostheses and shoe insoles with the aid of machine learning processes and physical models for elastic form fitting. As soon as the overall process has been realized, the applicability will be validated in the following year of the project by means of clinical studies and evaluated by utilizing sensor networks for pressure and temperature measurements. © 2023 The Authors.
