Adversarial Graph Convolutional Network for Skeleton-Based Early Action Prediction

This paper proposes a novel method for early action prediction based on 3D skeleton data. Our method combines the advantages of graph convolutional networks (GCNs) and adversarial learning to avoid the problems of insufficient spatio-temporal feature extraction and difficulty in predicting actions in the early execution stage of actions. In our method, GCNs, which have outstanding performance in the field of action recognition, are used to extract the spatio-temporal features of the skeleton. The model learns how to optimize the feature distribution of partial videos from the features of full videos through adversarial learning. Experiments on two challenging action prediction datasets show that our method performs well on skeleton-based early action prediction. State-of-the-art performance is reported in some observation ratios.

A mathematical multi-objective optimization model and metaheuristic algorithm for effective advertising in the social internet of things

The integration of social networks with the Internet of Things (IoT) has been explored in recent research, giving rise to the Social Internet of Things (SIoT). One promising application of SIoT is viral marketing, which plays a critical role in modern advertising. However, current solutions proposed for viral marketing are often impractical in real-world scenarios, and there has been limited investigation into viral marketing within the context of SIoT. To address this issue, we present a multi-objective integer linear programming model named ILP-ASoT that facilitates advertising through SIoT. Our approach introduces two realistic parameters: the node sociality rate and the node appropriateness rate as an advertising destination. By balancing the cost of selecting a seed set with the number of users who receive the advertisement, our model offers an appropriate trade-off. Since this is proven as an NP-hard problem, A PSO-based metaheuristic algorithm is proposed to provide near-optimal solutions for advertising in SIoT, called PSO-ASoT. Through simulations, we show that our PSO-ASoT algorithm outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms in several metrics, such as influence spread, advertising cost, and duplicated advertising rate. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

A Lightweight Object Detection Algorithm for Remote Sensing Images

With the continuous advancement of satellite technology, remote sensing images has been increasingly applied in fields such as urban planning, environmental monitoring, and disaster response. However, remote sensing images often feature small target sizes and complex backgrounds, posing significant computational challenges for object detection tasks. To address this issue, this paper proposes a lightweight remote sensing images object detection algorithm based on YOLOv9. The proposed algorithm incorporates the SimRMB module, which effectively reduces computational complexity while improving the efficiency and accuracy of feature extraction. Through a dynamic attention mechanism, SimRMB is capable of focusing on important regions while minimizing background interference, and by integrating residual learning and skip connections, it ensures the stability of deep networks. To further enhance detection performance, the FasterRepNCSPELAN4 module is introduced, which employs PConv operations to reduce computational load and memory usage. It also utilizes dilated convolutions and DFC attention mechanisms to strengthen feature extraction, thereby increasing the efficiency and accuracy of object detection. Additionally, this study integrates the GhostModuleV2 module, which generates core feature maps and employs lightweight operations to create redundant features, greatly reducing the computational complexity of *** results show that on the SIMD dataset, the improved YOLOv9 model has a parameter size of 167.88 MB and GFLOPs of 208.6. Compared to the baseline YOLOv9 model (parameter size: 194.57 MB, GFLOPs: 239.0), the parameter size is reduced by 13.71%, GFLOPs are reduced by 12.72%, and detection accuracy is improved by 1.4%. The work focuses on the utilization of the conventional solid-state sintering procedure to synthesize white phosphors Ca_(2)InTaO_(6):xDy^(3+)(0.02≤x≤0.12).Utilizing X-ray diffraction,the phase structure of samples was examined,and the crystal structure was refined using the Rietveld method.A scanning electron microscope was used to analyze the microstructure of ***-principles calculations confirm that the indirect bandgap of Ca_(2)InTaO_(6)is 3.786 eV,The luminous properties and energy transfer mechanism of Ca_(2)InTaO_(6):xDy^(3+)were studied using photoluminescence ***^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2)transition of Dy^(3+)ions is responsible for the greatest emission peak,which was measured at 575 *** to research,the lifespan falls as the concentration of Dy^(3+)doping amount rises because of frequent interaction and ene rgy transfer between Dy^(3+)*** correlated color temperature of the WLEDs packaged with Ca_(2)InTaO_(6):0.08Dy^(3+)is 4677 K and CIE 1931 chromaticity coordinates are(0.3578,0.3831).Meantime,the phosphor also shows outstanding te mperature stability property,which maintains 83.8%of its initial emission intensity at 450 K(activation energy of 0.1467 eV).The W-LEDs retain their performance for 100 min when powered at 3.4 V voltage and 600 mA current,demonstrating the packed W-LEDs'sustaine d operation at high temperatures.

This study introduces an integrated real-time monitoring system to enhance driver safety. The system incorporates facial recognition, alcohol detection, and drowsiness monitoring to comprehensively analyze the driver’s condition and provide appropriate responses. For facial recognition, it utilizes Google’s MediaPipe AI framework and a Siamese network model. Alcohol detection is achieved through real-time measurement of the driver’s alcohol level using an MQ3 sensor. Drowsiness monitoring is accomplished through a combination of blink detection using dlib and OpenCV with head-rotation techniques to assess driver fatigue in real time. The proposed system offers customized information to drivers via Android and web interfaces. This research demonstrates the potential of systems that analyze driver safety and respond accordingly in real time. © ICROS 2025.

Finite-Time Sliding Mode Control of Vehicle Formation with Specified Performance

The current urban intelligent transportation is in a rapid development stage, and coherence control of vehicle formations has important implications in urban intelligent transportation research. This article focuses on the problem of urban intelligent transportation planning, and proposes a new control method for vehicle formation regulation tracking performance control with bounded disturbances and model uncertainty, combining the multiple advantages of sliding mode control and finite time control and utilizing the universal approximation of neural network. This method can ensure that the vehicle formation can achieve the specified tracking performance and be stable in finite time instead of asymptotically stable. First, the third-order dynamics model and spacing strategy of the vehicle are given. The tracking performance of the vehicle formation is specified. Then, the control objective of the system is transformed by using the error transformation to obtain a new system. An improved sliding mode surface is designed for the transformed system. Furthermore, the universal approximation property of the neural network is utilised to overcome the parameter uncertainty in the system. The reconstruction error of neural network is handled by a robust term. In addition, the jittery vibration phenomenon of sliding mode control has been overcome. Finally, the finite-time stability of the system is analysed by constructing the Lyapunov function, simulations were performed to validate and compare with conventional control methods, simulation results show that the novel control method proposed in this paper is significantly faster than the conventional control method, validated the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper. © 2025, International Association of Engineers. A Population Initialization Method Based on Similarity and Mutual information in Evolutionary Algorithm for Bi-Objective Feature Selection

Feature selection (FS) is an important data pre-processing technique in classification. It aims to remove redundant and irrelevant features from the data, which reduces the dimensionality of data and improves the performance of the classifier. Thus, FS is a bi-objective optimization problem, and evolutionary algorithms (EAs) have been proven to be effective in solving bi-objective FS problems. EA is a population-based metaheuristic algorithm, and the quality of the initial population is an important factor affecting the performance of EA. An improper initial population may negatively affect the convergence speed of the EA and even make the algorithm fall into the local optimum. In this article, we propose a similarity and mutual information-based initialization method, named SMII, to improve the quality of the initial population. This method determines the distribution of initial solutions based on similarity and shields features with high correlation to the selected features according to mutual information. In the experiment, we embed SMII, the latest four initialization methods, and a traditional random initialization method into NSGA-II and compared their performance on 15 public datasets. The experimental results show that SMII performs best on most datasets and can effectively improve the performance of the algorithm. Moreover, we compare the performance of two other EAs before and after embedding SMII on 15 datasets, and the results further prove that the proposed method can effectively improve the search capability of the EA for FS. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Clustering and Artificial Intelligence-based Prediction of Ecologically Sustainable Species Introductions

There is a growing interest in sustainable ecosystem development, which includes methods such as scientific modeling, environmental assessment, and development forecasting and planning. However, due to insufficient survey data in many current development areas, development progress is delayed and stagnant. To address this situation, this paper proposes a SWOT-TOPSIS-K-Means (STK) data analysis and evaluation model to analyze ecological factors, which can realize a comprehensive and complete data analysis with fewer samples. Decision tree (DT), random forest (RF), and multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network models were constructed from the results of this analysis, and statistical tests such as r-squared, mean absolute error, and cross-validation are used to further confirm the performance efficiency of the computational prediction models to provide real-time prediction research solutions. For this purpose, data from research scholars on species introduction in ecosystem development were selected for testing. The results show that the proposed assessment model and modeling results satisfy all accuracy-related acceptance requirements. Among them, MLP is better than DT and RF. In summary, the STK assessment model and the MLP prediction model can provide a basis for the selection and development of ecological factors. © (2025), (International Association of Engineers).
