The rising complexity of integrated devices has led to new defect types and failure modes at the system level that are not detected by structural tests. System-Level Test (SLT) is another test step to combat this challenge. SLT is in charge of exercising system-level interactions between hardware components and software. Non-functional properties, e.g., temperature, play a major role in *** work focuses on the automatic generation of assembly test programs for SLT that aim to indirectly maximize a particular non-functional property, for example, the temperature. It is based on two-step generation with genetic algorithms. First, a fast architectural simulation is used with the genetic algorithm to provide a structure for the test programs. Afterward, an additional generation is done on the hardware to optimize the initial register contents of the *** case study for gathering experimental results is a super-scalar out-of-order RISC-V processor, the Berkeley Out-of-Order Machine (BOOM). Experimental results show that the two-step generation is more effective in converging to a better power-hungry test program than only using the power consumption as a fitness function for the genetic algorithm.

With the gradual development in industrialization, the advent of computer and information technology has evolved in the field of engineering and construction industry. BIM technology has become a valuable part of prefabricated concrete engineering with the advancement of modern technology based on 3D modeling simulation. In order to realize the industrialization and automation of prefabricated concrete structures, this paper analyzes the characteristics of fabricated concrete structure and BIM, combining the two techniques. This work applies BIM to fabricated concrete design and chooses finite element analysis and calculation software ETABS to analyze the structure model. The results show that the mass participation ratio of the model studied in this paper reaches more than 90%, the interlayer displacement angle is less than 1/550, and the modal and shell internal force analysis results meet the requirements. In this paper, modal analysis, shell internal force analysis under live load and structural dynamic analysis under response spectrum load conditions were carried out on the ETABS model converted from the Revit model and the model directly established by ETABS. The ETABS model converted from the Revit model by the data interface plug-in can be used for structural analysis. © 2023, CAD Solutions, LLC. All rights reserved.

A 3d Tebem Forsimulating Time Domain Motions of Ships in Waves with Forward Speed Considering the Effects of Ship Wave

A newly developed numerical method based on TEBEM is employed to solve the time domain motions for ships sailing in waves with forward speed. The ship wave potential’s boundary value problem is derived, and a numerical method based on TEBEM is established to directly solve the ship wave potential and its spatial derivatives. Comprehensive derivations are conducted for the boundary value problem of unsteady disturbance potential with the influence of ship wave. By retaining cross-coupling terms between steady and unsteady flows, the effects of steady terms related to speed effect are fully considered. A TEBEM capable of efficiently and accurately solving unsteady disturbance potential and its spatial derivatives is established. Numerical results show that the present method yields wave making resistance that exhibit closer agreement with experimental data. In time domain simulations, it’s found that ship motion responses and hydrodynamic forces calculated using the present method that are closer to experimental data. This is particularly evident for KCS, which produces significant ship wave. This indicates that the numerical method exhibits high prediction accuracy and numerical stability for different ships, demonstrating robustness, and has significant advantages in dealing with practical ships featuring intricate structures, making it valuable for practical engineering applications. © 2024, The Authors. Digital twins have a major potential to form a significant part of urban management in emergency planning, as they allow more efficient designing of the escape routes, better orientation in exceptional situations, and faster rescue intervention. Nevertheless, creating the twins still remains a largely manual effort, due to a lack of 3D-representations, which are available only in limited amounts for some new buildings. Thus, in this paper we aim to synthesize 3D information from commonly available 2D architectural floor plans. We propose two novel pixel-wise segmentation methods based on the MDA-Unet and MACU-Net architectures with improved skip connections, an attention mechanism, and a training objective together with a reconstruction part of the pipeline, which vectorizes the segmented plans to create a 3D model. The proposed methods are compared with two other state-of-the-art techniques and several benchmark datasets. On the commonly used CubiCasa benchmark dataset, our methods have achieved the mean F1 score of 0.86 over five examined classes, outperforming the other pixel-wise approaches tested. This paper presents a classify model of learning behavior on an intelligent tutoring website which provides a describing method of learning behavior. MFR Model creates a conceptual model and a analysis model according to students' learning behavior on the website. By using MFR model, influences of participation and learning effects can be judged by learning behavior which can not only strengthen the ability of interaction but also improve teaching quality and efficiency by providing personalized teaching method on website.

The use of private or consortium blockchains in organizations’ applications is growing. A relevant aspect of blockchains is the choice of consensus mechanism. This decision delimits which blockchain solutions are suitable for the private scenario. Once the consensus mechanism is chosen, more than one blockchain may be enabled. However, this decision making is not trivial and requires detailed experimental indicators about algorithms and blockchains performance. In this context, we provide a comprehensive performance analysis of the Raft consensus mechanism based on its implementation in Hyperledger Fabric and Ethereum blockchain solutions. We performed our experiments on an OpenStack private cloud using each blockchain developer’s default settings for virtual machines. Our findings show how the implementation of each solution can impact the application’s performance under certain conditions.

A multitude of web and desktop applications are now widely available in diverse human languages. This paper explores the design issues that are specifically relevant for multilingual users. It reports on the continued studies of Information System (IS) issues and users' behaviour across cross-cultural and transnational boundaries. Taking the BBC website as a model that is internationally recognised, usability tests were conducted to compare different versions of the website. The dependant variables derived from the questionnaire were analysed (via descriptive statistics) to elucidate the multilingual UI design issues. Using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), five de-correlated variables were identified which were then used for hypotheses tests. A modified version of Herzberg's Hygiene-motivational Theory about the Workplace was applied to assess the components used in the website. Overall, it was concluded that the English versions of the website gave superior usability results and this implies the need for deeper study of the problems in usability of the translated versions. The evolution of wireless communication is poised for a major shift with the transition from 5G to 6G, a leap characterized by breakthroughs in speed, ultra-reliable low-latency communication, and AI-driven network optimization. This paper examines these advancements, focusing on sub-millisecond latency, terahertz spectrum utilization, and enhanced network capabilities tailored to industries such as smart infrastructure, healthcare, and autonomous vehicles. While 6G promises revolutionary improvements, it also presents new challenges, including increased computational complexity and energy demands, data privacy concerns, and efficient spectrum allocation. The proposed model aims to address these issues by integrating AI and machine learning for optimized resource management, resulting in a high-performance, cost-effective solution for real-time, data-intensive applications. To assess the model's effectiveness, comprehensive simulations and real-world trials will be conducted, measuring critical metrics such as network throughput, latency, reliability, and energy efficiency. This study offers an all-encompassing guide to understanding and harnessing the transformative potential of 6G technology, laying the groundwork for future wireless communication systems.

The need for precise timing is increasing with the development of the smart city, and intelligent transport is a key application that often relies on the distribution of accurate timing. Existing time synchronization solutions cannot adequately meet the precise timing needs for practical applications in intelligent transportation. Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) signals, for instance, can be obstructed, weakened, or deflected in urban canyon environments. While certain sectors like telecommunications and smart grids have successfully adopted IEEE 1588 for high-precision time synchronization, its dependence on standalone networks and limited application within local area networks poses challenges when catering to the wide-ranging and mobile demands of intelligent transportation applications. This paper categorizes the time synchronization requirements of intelligent transport and proposes a time synchronization scheme over converged networks, which separates time transmission and precision compensation based on software-defined networking (SDN) principles, and makes it possible to provide precise timing for intelligent transport devices, including on-board units (OBUs) and roadside units (RSUs), over wired and wireless communication networks. Experimental results indicate that the proposed scheme achieves a relative time error of less than 1.2 microseconds over the converged networks.

The deterioration of transmission lines has a profound effect on the reliability and safety of the power grid. Accurate estimation of their age is critical for effective maintenance and investment planning. This paper proposes a method that combines the percentage statistical health index (%SHI) with failure probability curve-fitting (FPCF) to estimate the ages of overhead transmission lines. %SHI assesses equipment condition through scoring and weighting, while FPCF correlates SHI with the probability of failure. Evaluation of 924 towers situated in various terrains across Thailand reveals discrepancies between estimated and actual ages, influenced by environmental factors. To enhance reliability, proactive maintenance strategies such as regular inspections and advanced monitoring are recommended.
