The successful execution and management of Offshore software Maintenance Outsourcing(OSMO)can be very beneficial for OSMO vendors and the OSMO *** a lot of research on software outsourcing is going on,most of the existing literature on offshore outsourcing deals with the outsourcing of software development *** frameworks have been developed focusing on guiding software systemmanagers concerning offshore software ***,none of these studies delivered comprehensive guidelines for managing the whole process of *** is a considerable lack of research working on managing OSMO from a vendor’s ***,to find the best practices for managing an OSMO process,it is necessary to further investigate such complex and multifaceted phenomena from the vendor’s *** study validated the preliminary OSMO process model via a case study research *** results showed that the OSMO process model is applicable in an industrial setting with few *** industrial data collected during the case study enabled this paper to extend the preliminary OSMO process *** refined version of the OSMO processmodel has four major phases including(i)Project Assessment,(ii)SLA(iii)Execution,and(iv)Risk.

No-reference image quality assessment (NR-IQA) aims to evaluate image quality without using the original reference images. Since the early NR-IQA methods based on distortion types were only applicable to specific distortion scenarios, and lack of practicality, it is challenging to designing a universal NR-IQA method. In this article, a multibranch convolutional neural network (MB-CNN) based NR-IQA method is proposed, which includes a spatial-domain feature extractor, a gradient-domain feature extractor, and a weight mechanism. The spatial-domain feature extractor aims to extract the distortion features from the spatial domain. The gradient-domain feature extractor is used to guide the spatial-domain feature extractor to pay more attention to the distortions of the structure information. Particularly, the spatial-domain feature extractor uses the hierarchical feature merge module to realize multiscale feature representation, and the gradient-domain feature extractor uses pyramidal convolution to extract the multiscale structure information of the distorted image. In addition, a position vector is proposed to build the weight mechanism by considering the position relationships between patches and its entire image for improving the final prediction performance. We conduct the experiments on five representative databases: LIVE, TID2013, CSIQ, LIVE MD and Waterloo Exploration Database, and the experimental results show that the proposed NR-IQA method achieves the state-of-the-art performance, which demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed NR-IQA method. The dynamic knowledge graph is a data structure that adds temporal information to the nodes and edges of a traditional knowledge graph. It describes the changing processes of entities and relationships over time, thereby enriching and updating the expression of knowledge. The dynamic knowledge graph possesses characteristics such as time and labels;it is not only a knowledge graph but also a type of dynamic graph containing heterogeneous information. To address the issue that traditional dynamic graph visualization methods do not account for heterogeneous information in the layout, leading to a relatively random distribution of node labels in the visualization results, this paper proposes DKGV, a dynamic knowledge graph visualization method based on a force-directed layout. DKGV utilizes an improved GCN to generate the initial layout of the dynamic knowledge graph data, performs static force-directed layout iterative processing, and conducts dynamic force-directed layout calculations on the dynamic knowledge graph. Finally, it employs a force-directed layout with boundaries to support three-dimensional temporal display after view transformation. Experimental results show that DKGV can maintain the stability of the node layout during the evolution of the dynamic knowledge graph while making the overall layout more regular to better display the relationships between entities. © 2024 ACM.

Mongolian compound nouns often become the vehicle for the creation of new concepts and terms due to their diverse combinations and flexible expressive power. In the field of natural language shallow syntactic analysis, the recognition of Mongolian compound nouns plays an important role, and its performance will directly affect the processing effect of related research. In the current academic research, the research on automatic recognition of Mongolian compound nouns is still insufficient, especially in the automatic recognition of Mongolian compound nouns using deep learning technology, which is almost in a blank state. In this study, we firstly construct a Mongolian compound noun annotated corpus, and on the basis of the constructed annotated corpus, we propose a Mongolian compound noun automatic recognition model based on deep learning for the fact that there is no deep learning method for recognising Mongolian compound nouns at present. The model takes Conditional Random Field (CRF) as the basic framework to make full use of contextual information by considering the joint probability distribution of the whole sequence. During the model construction process, the TextCNN model is incorporated and by designing a multi-scale convolutional kernel, the model is able to effectively capture the local features of Mongolian compound nouns. The experimental results show that the automatic Mongolian compound noun recognition model based on deep learning proposed in this study performs well on the Mongolian compound noun recognition task, with an F1 value of 93.40%. © 2024 IEEE.

The conventional Close circuit television(CCTV)cameras-based surveillance and control systems require human resource *** all the criminal activities take place using weapons mostly a handheld gun,revolver,pistol,swords ***,automatic weapons detection is a vital requirement now a *** current research is concerned about the real-time detection of weapons for the surveillance cameras with an implementation of weapon detection using Efficient–*** time datasets,from local surveillance department’s test sessions are used for model training and *** consist of local environment images and videos from different type and resolution cameras that minimize the *** research also contributes in the making of Efficient-Net that is experimented and results in a positive *** results are also been represented in graphs and in calculations for the representation of results during training and results after training are also shown to represent our research ***-Net algorithm gives better results than existing *** using Efficient-Net algorithms the accuracy achieved 98.12%when epochs increase as compared to other algorithms.

Capturing the crack process of the Antarctic A74 iceberg with Sentinel-1 based offset tracking and radar interferometry techniques

In this paper,the crack process of the A74 iceberg is carefully monitored in different aspects by using synthetic aperture radar(SAR)***,a offset tracking strategy is designed to retrieve the temporal evolution of the glacier velocity ***,a signal coherence factor(SCF)is proposed to analyze the interferometric *** resulting SCF maps can present a more distinct rupture pattern than the SAR magnitude images,which enables the development of rift to be tracked more ***,a new approach is proposed to explore the temporal change of the ice *** this approach is based on interferometric phase signals,it is more sensitive than the offset tracking ***,the abnormal variation signals associated with the rupture process can be discovered from the experimental results in an earlier *** results also show that the area with abnormal signals is almost identical to the region of the calved ice,which demonstrates that the scale of the iceberg might be predicted at least two months before the rupture ***,such a consistent pattern may indicate a total alteration of ice characteristics,implying that the complete separation between A74 and BIS is inevitable.

Edge computing (EC) serves as an effective technology, empowering end-users to attain high bandwidth and low latency by offloading tasks with high computational demands from mobile devices to edge servers. However, a major challenge arises when the processing load fluctuates continuously, leading to a performance bottleneck due to the inability to rescale edge node (EN) resources. To address this problem, the approach of task migration is introduced, and EN load prediction model, the resource constrained model, optimal communication overhead model, optimal task migration model, and energy consumption model are built to form a theoretical foundation from which to propose a task migration based resilient framework construction method in EC. With the aid of the domino effect and the combined effect of task migration, a dynamic node-growing algorithm (DNGA) and a dynamic node-shrinking algorithm (DNSA), both based on the task migration strategy, are proposed. Specifically, the DNGA smoothly expands the EN scale when the processing load increases, while the DNSA shrinks the EN scale when the processing load decreases. The experimental results show that for standard benchmarks deployed on an elastic framework, the proposed method realizes a smooth scaling mechanism in the EC, which reduces the latency and improves the reliability of data processing. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Generic object detection methods have achieved preferable results, but it is still challenging to detect objects from complicated traffic scenes like extreme illumination and adverse weather. The existing methods are not robust enough to be extended to new complex traffic scenes. To address this issue, we leverage the idea of ensemble learning for strong robustness and propose a novel Bagging R-CNN framework. Specially, we design a bagging classification branch that uses adaptive sampling to train base learners and make them different from each other. The final predictions are the ensemble of the base learners, achieving strong robustness to the challenging objects. For localizing more accurately, a progressive regression branch is proposed in which bounding boxes are continuously optimized for high quality. Extensive experiment results on TJU-DHD-traffic and Pascal VOC datasets show that our Bagging R-CNN achieves superior detection accuracy over state-of-the-art methods. Robust copy-move detection and localization of digital audio based CFCC feature

Copy-move forgery is a common audio tampering technique in which users copy the contents of one speech and paste them into another region of the same speech signal, thus achieving the effect of tampering with the semantics. To verify the authenticity of the audio, this paper proposes a method to detect and localize audio copy-move forgery based on the cochlear filter of cochlear filter cepstral coefficients (CFCC) feature. The pitch tracking algorithm is used to distinguish the voiced and unvoiced segments in the audio, and then the CFCC coefficients are extracted for each voiced segment. The CFCC feature simulates the entire transmission process of signals in the cochlear basilar membrane using wavelet transformation. Finally, we use Pearson correlation coefficients (PCCs) and dynamic time warping (DTW) in combination to compare the similarity of voiced segments, accurately determining the tampered locations in the audio through threshold judgment. Through extensive experiments on relevant datasets, this algorithm achieves a precision rate of 98.39% and a recall rate of 98.00% in detecting audio without post-processing. Even when detecting audio that has undergone different post-processing, the precision and recall rates remain above 90%. Compared to existing methods, this approach not only achieves precise localization of replicated segments but also demonstrates superior experimental results. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

On the current breeding goose farm,the detection of individual egg laying mainly depends on some judgement experiences of farm *** present,there have been some egg laying detection systems developed with images and weighing sensors,which only signal the eggs being laid,but no egg position being ***,the detection rate of the system is not high due to environment limitations like dim light of the goose ***,to solve these problems mentioned above,an intelligent detection and positioning system is pro-posed by integrating technologies of the Radio Frequency(RF)and photoelectric sensors,together with the geometric calculation *** this research,individual egg laying information of breeding geese in a non-cage state was examined to improve the level of auto-matic detection and positioning in the field of breeder egg *** results showed that an accurate detection and positioning of an egg in a nest filled with the artificial turf could be achieved under some conditions:the height of sensor is 3.5 cm from the bottom plate of the egg laying nest,the spacing of the photoresistor module is 5 cm,and the external light intensity is less than 110 *** also shown that the error of the goose egg position recognition is 0.443 cm with a suitable level of straw in the ***,the monitoring system and positioningmethod that was developed in this research could provide a reference for the analysis of individual egg laying behavior,and could result in an improvement in the automatic egg collection for the breeding geese production.
