In the context of an increasingly severe cybersecurity landscape and the growing complexity of offensive and defen-sive techniques,Zero Trust Networks(ZTN)have emerged as a widely recognized *** Trust not only addresses the shortcomings of traditional perimeter security models but also consistently follows the fundamental principle of“never trust,always verify.”Initially proposed by John Cortez in 2010 and subsequently promoted by Google,the Zero Trust model has become a key approach to addressing the ever-growing security threats in complex network *** paper systematically compares the current mainstream cybersecurity models,thoroughly explores the advantages and limitations of the Zero Trust model,and provides an in-depth review of its components and key ***,it analyzes the latest research achievements in the application of Zero Trust technology across various fields,including network security,6G networks,the Internet of Things(IoT),and cloud computing,in the context of specific use *** paper also discusses the innovative contributions of the Zero Trust model in these fields,the challenges it faces,and proposes corresponding solutions and future research directions.

Toward Privacy-Preserving Spatial Crowdsourcing: From Offline to Online

Recent years have seen Spatial Crowdsourcing (SC) becoming a promising paradigm of collecting large amounts of location-aware data for various network applications. Its strengths lie in leveraging the power of the crowd to gather data effectively at a low cost. However, during the interaction process between SC participants (e.g., workers and task requestors) and the SC platform, participants’ sensitive information is inevitably exposed, raising severe privacy concerns. Existing studies addressing these privacy concerns have mostly focused on offline SC settings, where the participants’ information is known and accessible in advance. Yet real-world SC participants can be highly dynamic with uncertain behaviors;hence, in practice, their information is largely unknown a priori. In this article, we closely examine the privacy challenges as well as the trade-off between privacy and efficiency in online SC settings. We develop a comprehensive online privacy-preserving SC framework and analyze the critical implementation issues. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

Smart water management imposes higher demands on the real-time capabilities and intelligence of watershed information monitoring systems. Therefore, we propose an intelligent voice broadcast system for monitoring water information, aimed at achieving efficient and accurate dissemination of warning information. This system can be deployed and integrated into existing water information monitoring systems to enable real-time voice broadcasting of water-related information. To ensure the system’s timeliness and effectiveness, we propose a Performance Optimization Mechanism for Data Processing, Priority Control for voice broadcasting, a Content Optimization Mechanism, and a Timeliness Control Mechanism. Comparative experiments demonstrate that the proposed intelligent voice broadcast system significantly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of water information dissemination, providing an innovative solution for real-time monitoring and early warning in water management. © 2025 IEEE.

The rapid development of short video platforms poses new challenges for traditional recommendation *** systems typically depend on two types of user behavior feedback to construct user interest profiles:explicit feedback(interactive behavior),which significantly influences users’short-term interests,and implicit feedback(viewing time),which substantially affects their long-term ***,the previous model fails to distinguish between these two feedback methods,leading it to predict only the overall preferences of users based on extensive historical behavior ***,it cannot differentiate between users’long-term and shortterm interests,resulting in low accuracy in describing users’interest states and predicting the evolution of their *** paper introduces a video recommendationmodel calledCAT-MFRec(CrossAttention Transformer-Mixed Feedback Recommendation)designed to differentiate between explicit and implicit user feedback within the DIEN(Deep Interest Evolution Network)*** study emphasizes the separate learning of the two types of behavioral feedback,effectively integrating them through the cross-attention ***,it leverages the long sequence dependence capabilities of Transformer technology to accurately construct user interest profiles and predict the evolution of user *** results indicate that CAT-MF Rec significantly outperforms existing recommendation methods across various performance *** advancement offers new theoretical and practical insights for the development of video recommendations,particularly in addressing complex and dynamic user behavior patterns.

Point cloud sequence-based 3D action recognition has achieved impressive performance and efficiency. However, existing point cloud sequence modeling methods cannot adequately balance the precision of limb micro-movements with the integrity of posture macro-structure, leading to the loss of crucial information cues in action inference. To overcome this limitation, we introduce D-Hyperpoint, a novel data type generated through a D-Hyperpoint Embedding module. D-Hyperpoint encapsulates both regional-momentary motion and global-static posture, effectively summarizing the unit human action at each moment. In addition, we present a D-Hyperpoint KANsMixer module, which is recursively applied to nested groupings of D-Hyperpoints to learn the action discrimination information and creatively integrates Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks (KAN) to enhance spatio-temporal interaction within D-Hyperpoints. Finally, we propose KAN-HyperpointNet, a spatio-temporal decoupled network architecture for 3D action recognition. Extensive experiments on two public datasets: MSR Action3D and NTU-RGB+D 60, demonstrate the state-of-the-art performance of our method. © 2025 IEEE.

The nested array results in a hole-free difference coarray (DCA) after virtualization, enhancing the utilization of virtual array elements. MUSIC algorithm is an algorithm with high estimation accuracy, but the angle search process has high complexity. In this paper, we propose a spatial smoothing root-MUSIC (SS-root-MUSIC) algorithm based on nested arrays to reduce complexity. Firstly, we obtain the equivalent signals of the DCA and recover the rank through virtualization and spatial smoothing. Then we use the root-MUSIC polynomial to get the DOA estimation results. The proposed SS-root-MUSIC has low computational complexity by avoiding the angle search process while ensuring the estimation accuracy. Theoretical and simulation results confirm the superiority of the proposed SS-root-MUSIC algorithm. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Federated Deep Reinforcement Learning for Multimodal Content Caching in Edge-Cloud Networks

Edge caching presents a promising avenue for mitigating backbone network congestion by strategically caching frequently accessed content at the network periphery. As most current edge caching solutions are designed for single-modal content requests, they cannot deal with the increasing volume of multi-modal content requests. In this study, we investigate the issue of multimodal content caching in edge-cloud networks. Firstly, we establish a heterogeneous edge-cloud network adept at caching multimodal content proximate to end-users to facilitate expeditious content delivery. By leveraging latent representations of multimodal content, we identify distinct user request modalities for multimodal content. Subsequently, we formulate caching replacement operations as a Markov Decision Process (MDP) aimed at minimizing user-content access latency. Moreover, we propose a decentralized multimodal content caching framework at the network edge based on federated deep reinforcement learning. This framework affords distributed decision-making and learning capabilities, thereby alleviating the strain on centralized resources and augmenting caching efficacy. To demonstrate the efficacy of our proposed framework, we conduct comprehensive experiments utilizing the Noah-Wukong dataset. Experimental results provide evidence that our framework reduces average latency by up to 10% compared to traditional methods, highlighting its proficiency in enhancing cache performance in edge-cloud networks. © 2013 IEEE.

Fog computing is a key enabling technology of 6G systems as it provides quick and reliable computing,and data storage services which are required for several 6G *** Intelligence(AI)algorithms will be an integral part of 6G systems and efficient task offloading techniques using fog computing will improve their performance and *** this paper,the focus is on the scenario of Partial Offloading of a Task to Multiple Helpers(POMH)in which larger tasks are divided into smaller subtasks and processed in parallel,hence expediting task ***,using POMH presents challenges such as breaking tasks into subtasks and scaling these subtasks based on many interdependent factors to ensure that all subtasks of a task finish simultaneously,preventing resource ***,applying matching theory to POMH scenarios results in dynamic preference profiles of helping devices due to changing subtask sizes,resulting in a difficult-to-solve,externalities *** paper introduces a novel many-to-one matching-based algorithm,designed to address the externalities problem and optimize resource allocation within POMH ***,we propose a new time-efficient preference profiling technique that further enhances time optimization in POMH *** performance of the proposed technique is thoroughly evaluated in comparison to alternate baseline schemes,revealing many advantages of the proposed *** simulation findings indisputably show that the proposed matching-based offloading technique outperforms existing methodologies in the literature,yielding a remarkable 52 reduction in task latency,particularly under high workloads.

Early Diabetic Retinopathy Cyber-Physical Detection System Using Attention-Guided Deep CNN Fusion

Diabetic retinopathy is the most common and severe eye complication of diabetes, and it can cause vision loss or even blindness due to retina damage. Automatic and faster detection of various DR stages is crucial and can benefit both patients and ophthalmologists. With the ubiquity of measurement devices and growing processing power, cyber-physical characterization is becoming an enabler technology in many disciplines. This paper proposes a cyber-physical system (CPS) framework that will aid clinicians in establishing an early diagnosis of DR. Particularly;we present a component-based CPS architecture to use a deep learning-based predictive model deployed on the cloud for effective DR diagnosis and incorporate medical devices. To this end, a deep learning-based explainable CNN fusion model has been introduced in the proposed framework for automatic screening and interpretation of DR stages using digital fundus images. We extract salient features using various fine-tuned CNN models in conjunction with an attention network, and we use a locally connected layer to calculate the weighted contribution of these networks. We measure the performance of our approach using a public dataset comprising fundus images of five different categories. Experimental results demonstrate the proposed approach's effectiveness for faster and more accurate detection of various DR stages. © 2013 IEEE.

Enhancing Elderly Care with Socially Assistive Robots: A Holistic Framework for Mobility, Interaction, and Well-Being

The global elderly population is projected to double by 2050, creating challenges in mobility, social isolation, and cognitive decline. Socially Assistive Robots (SARs) offer a promising solution, yet gaps remain in integrating mobility assistance with cognitive and emotional support. The research developed a comprehensive framework for SARs, emphasizing user-centered design, technological innovation, and cultural adaptability. A mixed-methods approach was employed with 200 participants aged 60+, from diverse settings, including rehab centers, retired groups, old age communities and nursing homes. Results demonstrated a 33.3% improvement in mobility scores and a 40% increase in social engagement. Health metrics revealed a 22% reduction in falls, a 15% rise in physical activity, and a 90% user satisfaction rate. Gender and age differences were evident, with males aged 71+ showing higher mobility improvements (35.6%) and females aged 71+ reporting the highest satisfaction (93%). Long-term data indicated sustained benefits, with participants retaining 80% of mobility gains and social engagement levels 38% above baseline after six months. These findings highlight the importance of culturally sensitive and user-centered SAR designs in promoting elderly well-being. The research offers a robust foundation for integrating SARs into elderly care systems, emphasizing adaptability, sustainability, and ethical considerations for future implementation. © 2013 IEEE.
