The Column Subset Selection (CSS) problem has been widely studied in dimensionality reduction and feature selection. The goal of the CSS problem is to output a submatrix S, consisting of k columns from an n × d input matrix A that minimizes the residual error A − SS†A2F, where S† is the Moore-Penrose inverse matrix of S. Many previous approximation algorithms have non-linear running times in both n and d, while the existing linear-time algorithms have a relatively larger approximation ratios. Additionally, the local search algorithms in existing results for solving the CSS problem are heuristic. To achieve linear running time while maintaining better approximation using a local search strategy, we propose a local search-based approximation algorithm for the CSS problem with exactly k columns selected. A key challenge in achieving linear running time with the local search strategy is how to avoid exhaustive enumerations of candidate columns for constructing swap pairs in each local search step. To address this issue, we propose a two-step mixed sampling method that reduces the number of enumerations for swap pair construction from O(dk) to k in linear time. Although the two-step mixed sampling method reduces the search space of local search strategy, bounding the residual error after swaps is a non-trivial task. To estimate the changes in residual error after swaps, we propose a matched swap pair construction method to bound the approximation loss, ensuring a constant probability of loss reduction in each local search step. In expectation, these techniques enable us to obtain the local search algorithm for the CSS problem with theoretical guarantees, where a 53(k + 1)-approximate solution can be obtained in linear running time O(ndk4 log k). Empirical experiments show that our proposed algorithm achieves better quality and time compared to previous algorithms on both small and large datasets. The Internet of Things (IoT) has quickly advanced and been incorporated into many different fields. With the use of IoT technology, gadgets can receive, process, and send data automatically. IoT has been rapidly accepted in many important fields since it makes life easier and increases service quality, yet it still faces significant privacy and security problems. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) could be implemented as a security feature to protect IoT networks from a variety of cyberattacks. This study suggests using IDS to defend against a wide range of cyberattacks on IoT systems. The suggested approach makes use of the Multi-layer Perceptron (MLP) as well as Extra Trees (ExT) as efficient algorithms of classification. Also, the study uses the pipeline to put together several cross-validated phases while selecting various parameters to increase the detection rate. One dataset is utilized for evaluating and analyzing the performance outcomes so as to validate the efficiency of the suggested IDS approach. The evaluation findings show that the suggested IDS methods may greatly increase detection performance results concerning accuracy rate, precision, F1-score, and recall while also improving detection efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

Mobile Ad-Hoc network is a self-configuring and multi-hop collection of mobile devices for making successful communication. The wireless and mobile communication process are encountered based on bandwidth, process control and energy conception. Energy conception is considered and dynamically changed to rely on life time of batteries and power. The life time of battery get exhausted very quickly the nodes are moved and changed rapidly across the network. This paper noticed the problem of life time of power, batteries and energy consumption problem in various routing stages. The proposed Intelligent Gen Algorithm is used to get optimal solution for ensuring high robustness, flexibility and Energy consumption factor. It presents a common framework to balance various routing requirements in MANETs dynamically. The following are the main contributions includes, i. introducing Intelligent GEN Algorithms to classify the throughout bandwidth, delay, data ratio. ii. Various routing performance are evaluated and viewed by speed, packetize and simulation time. The comparison evaluated by select routing algorithm using NS-2. The simulation results are recorded and the performance is monitored by using on demand access protocl. The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) has significantly transformed various sectors of society, compelling enterprises to undertake comprehensive digital transformations to remain competitive in the AI era. This paper introduces COSIS, an AI-enabled digital trans-formation framework comprising five key dimensions: Culture, Operation, Strategy, Innovation, and Service. The COSIS framework provides a structured approach for enterprises to navigate the complexities of digital transformation by integrating AI and LLM technologies into their core functions. For each dimension, the paper identifies specific key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of AI-enabled transformations. These KPIs enable enterprises to quantitatively assess progress and outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and facilitating continuous improvement. The Internet of Drones (IoD) extends the capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles, enabling them to participate in a connected network. In IoD infrastructure, drones communicate not only among themselves but also with users and a control center. This interconnected communication framework holds promise for various applications, from collaborative decision-making to real-time data exchange. However, the expansion of communication in IoD also introduces new challenges, particularly in terms of security, privacy and authentication. Unfortunately, the current authentication protocols are inadequate in offering robust security features against various attacks in the IoD environment. To address these security issues and limitations, we proposed a secure protocol for the IoD environment using chaotic maps and hash functions. In addition, we also employed a physically unclonable function in the development of the proposed protocol. We assess the security of the protocol through both informal and formal security analysis. The formal security analysis is conducted through a widely used random or real (RoR) model. The informal analysis shows the rigorous security features against various attacks, such as masquerading, anonymity violation, and physical cloning attacks. Moreover, we compare the performance of the devised protocol with similar existing protocols across important performance parameters, such as communication overhead, computation overhead, and security features. The devised protocol provides a 67.86% and 17.80% reduction in computation and communication overheads, respectively, as compared to related protocols. The analysis demonstrates the proposed protocol's capacity to support secure communication in the IoD environment and satisfy desirable security attributes. © 2014 IEEE.

Acquisition of underwater images presents challenges stemming from inherent distortions and the degradation of color and contrast within the aquatic environment. These challenges, characterized by image quality issues, pose significant obstacles to the training of supervised deep learning models on extensive and diverse datasets, potentially constraining the overall performance of the model. High-quality underwater images play an important role in the development of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles(AUVs). In this work, we present MobileVitV2 Block Fusion Augmentor and Global-Local Feature Fusion Block with Attent-UNet, which are offered as blocks of generator. Through extensive experiments on different datasets, our proposed method achieves better visual quality, and the method can obtain better quality images in poorer underwater environments. © 2023 IEEE.

Federated learning (FL) is an emerging paradigm using a parameter server (PS) to coordinate multiple decentralized clients for training a common model without exposing their raw data. Despite its amazing capability in preserving data privacy, FL confronts two significant challenges that have not been sufficiently addressed by existing works, which are: 1) heterogeneous data distributed on clients given that the PS cannot alter data locations. 2) limited computation resources of FL clients who may conduct model training with mobile devices. To tackle these challenges, we propose a novel federated one-shot transferring of intermediate features (FedOTF) algorithm. More specifically, FedOTF consists of two stages: feature extraction and model reconstruction. To overcome challenge 1, clients in stage 1 only collaboratively train a small model in a federated manner, with the objective to extract features. In stage 2, intermediate features (generated by the small model trained by stage 1) are transferred from clients to the PS so that a large model can be trained to overcome challenge 2. In addition, the design of FedOTF is robust, which can flexibly diminish the number of communication rounds of stage 1 when network capacity is limited, and reduce the amount of exposed features when privacy is concerned. To verify the superiority of FedOTF, we conduct comprehensive experiments with real datasets. The experiment results demonstrate that FedOTF can significantly improve the model utility of FL because a better model can be finally obtained by the PS without incurring heavy computational load on clients. Besides, we conduct robustness evaluation of FedOTF which can achieve stable performance when varying network capacity and privacy requirement. © 2023 IEEE.

The influence maximization (IM) problem aims to identify a budgeted set of nodes with the highest potential to influence the largest number of users in a cascade model, a key challenge in viral marketing. Traditional IM approaches consider each user/node independently as a potential target customer. However, in many scenarios, the target customers comprise motifs, where activating only one or a few users within a motif is insufficient for effective viral marketing, which, nevertheless, receives little attention. For instance, if a motif of three friends planning to dine together, targeting all three simultaneously is crucial for a restaurant advertisement to succeed. In this paper, we address the motif-oriented influence maximization problem under the linear threshold model. We prove that the motif-oriented IM problem is NP-hard and that the influence function is neither supermodular nor submodular, in contrast to the classical IM setting. To simplify the problem, we establish the submodular upper and lower bounds for the influence function. By leveraging the submodular property, we propose a natural greedy strategy that simultaneously maximizes both bounds. Our algorithm has an approximation ratio of τ · (1 – 1/e – ε) and a near-linear time complexity of O((k + l)(m + η) log η/ε2). Experimental results on diverse datasets confirm the effectiveness of our approach in motif maximization.

One of the primary structural materials in the development business is concrete. Compressive strength is the most frequently utilized metric when assessing the strength and nature of cement. This paper clarifies how to make use of technical regression (RT) methodology to decide the legitimate dose of the concrete mixture. Water, Cement, Fly Ash, Blast Furnace, Superplasticizer, Coarse, and Fine Aggregate, were used as input parameters, on the other hand, compressive strength was used as an output parameter. The produced models were evaluated using statistical parameters: Linear Regression, Decision Tree Regression, and Random Forest Regression. In contrast with other applicable models, it was found that the Gaussian process regression model based on the function of the nucleus of radial bases delivered relatively better results. The recommended models should get a good deal on saving money on materials, labor, and time while also improving accuracy.
