Reusing ROS components, specifically ROS Nodes, is crucial for improving the efficiency and quality of robotic software development. However, developers face challenges in finding the desired ROS Nodes for reuse due to scattered organization of ROS Nodes and the ambiguity in their ROS Node name. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a MUlti-feature SEmantic fusion method (MUSE) that leverages a domain-specific ROS knowledge graph for searching ROS Nodes. Firstly, a large dataset is constructed, comprising code files and textual descriptions related to ROS Nodes obtained from GitHub and ROS Wiki. Secondly, an in-depth analysis of user queries regarding the reuse of ROS Nodes is conducted, leading to the selection of multiple features that provide a comprehensive representation of ROS Node semantics, including Function, Hardware, Input, and Output. Subsequently, a knowledge graph of ROS Nodes is developed based on the dataset, incorporating the selected features. This knowledge graph effectively organizes scattered knowledge and resolves the issue of diverse mentions through entity disambiguation and resolution. To eliminate the semantic gap between the descriptions of features mentioned in user queries and the entities in the knowledge graph, a pretrained transformer-based model was used to measure the multi-feature semantic similarity between user queries and ROS Nodes knowledge. Finally, we employ a linear regression model to integrate the multi-feature knowledge between user queries and ROS Nodes knowledge. The proposed method has shown a 20% improvement in performance on NDCG@1 compared to other ROS Node search methods. Further evaluations highlight the effectiveness of each feature incorporated in the knowledge graph, as well as the significance of each parameter within the regression model. These findings underscore the robustness of this research in optimizing the reuse of ROS Nodes and facilitating the development of robotics software.

In the production and assembly process, the accuracy of detection is usually low due to limited resources and small quantities. In this paper, we propose a few-shot learning method for object detection based on the combination of YOLOv8 and Mamba-Like Linear Attention (MLLA) module. This method utilizes a high-pixel camera to capture the shape and size of the workpiece. By consistency-based mutual augmentation structure for few-shot samples data augmentation. By introducing the efficient and lightweight MLLA module, the model's speed and accuracy in object detection and segmentation tasks on mobile devices are significantly improved. Specifically, MLLA mainly integrates the two key elements of 'forget gate' and 'block design' in Mamba, and MLLA replaces forget gate by using position coding (RoPE) to provide necessary location information while maintaining parallel computation and fast inference speed. This makes MLLA improves the accuracy of detection and segmentation recognition. Experimental results show that compared to the original YOLOv8 model, the model with the MLLA module exhibits improvements in segmentation precision and recognition accuracy. This method demonstrates high accuracy and robustness in workpiece recognition, making it suitable for real-time industrial applications. © 2024 IEEE.

In the field of multimodal learning, controlling the training of unimodal encoders from different perspectives is a primary approach to addressing Training Imbalance. However, the inherent capacity limitations of the modality affect the model’s capability. Therefore, generating adversarial examples that can achieve balanced transferability remains a challenging and perplexing problem. In this paper, we propose the InterModality Balanced Attack (MOBA) to address this problem. MOBA leverages Aggregated Modality Perturbation (AMP), which exploits the unbalanced effects of text and image perturbations to maximize the impact on the victim model. AMP capitalizes on the intrinsic feature connections between modalities during the optimization process, adjusting perturbations through Cross-Modality Discrepancy Loss to enhance attack success rates. Additionally, we devise the Transferability-Enhanced Evolution (TEE) to overcome the issue of diminished attack transferability due to model capacity limitations. TEE employs Transfer-Driven Optimization Loss to alleviate overfitting in single models, thereby enhancing the generalization ability.

The development of learning analytics technology has created the necessary conditions for the implementation of large-scale personalized education. By taking advantage of the current advancements available, we can adopt a deep integration of “artificial intelligence + education”, take educational big data as the research object, aim at achieving precise teaching, and use cognitive diagnosis as a means to construct an intelligent guidance model. The model will conform to a learner's cognitive patterns and curriculum characteristics to meet his personalized learning needs under different knowledge states. Firstly, use knowledge map and abstract syntax trees to extract the characteristics of teaching objectives from questions and standard programing codes. Secondly, Use “target characteristics - learning characteristics - learning sequence - learning effect” cognitive diagnosis model to assess student achievement in learning. Finally, according to the correlation between knowledge points, the initial learning path consisting of all relevant knowledge points is identified from a knowledge map. And the most optimal learning path is selected based on the importance of knowledge points and student's learning situation. There are three innovation points in this paper. First, the traditional method which only focuses on discovering the one-dimensional knowledge features implicated in the questions, is extended to construct a knowledge-ability multidimensional feature matrix. Secondly, it optimized static cognitive diagnosis into dynamic cognitive arbitrariness, which has a modeling capability of dynamic temporal sequence. Thirdly, it regarded the correlation between knowledge points, and the importance of knowledge points as the heuristic conditions for constructing a learning path.

GuidedNet: Semi-Supervised Multi-Organ Segmentation via Labeled Data Guide Unlabeled Data

Semi-supervised multi-organ medical image segmentation aids physicians in improving disease diagnosis and treatment planning and reduces the time and effort required for organ annotation. Existing state-of-the-art methods train the labeled data with ground truths and train the unlabeled data with pseudo-labels. However, the two training flows are separate, which does not reflect the interrelationship between labeled and unlabeled data. To address this issue, we propose a semi-supervised multi-organ segmentation method called GuidedNet, which leverages the knowledge from labeled data to guide the training of unlabeled data. The primary goals of this study are to improve the quality of pseudo-labels for unlabeled data and to enhance the network's learning capability for both small and complex organs. A key concept is that voxel features from labeled and unlabeled data that are close to each other in the feature space are more likely to belong to the same class. On this basis, a 3D Consistent Gaussian Mixture Model (3D-CGMM) is designed to leverage the feature distributions from labeled data to rectify the generated pseudo-labels. Furthermore, we introduce a Knowledge Transfer Cross Pseudo Supervision (KT-CPS) strategy, which leverages the prior knowledge obtained from the labeled data to guide the training of the unlabeled data, thereby improving the segmentation accuracy for both small and complex organs. Extensive experiments on two public datasets, FLARE22 and AMOS, demonstrated that GuidedNet is capable of achieving state-of-theart performance. In surface metrology, filtration is one of the key operations which is used to decompose the components of the surface and extract a scale-limited surface for further assessment. Although many types of filters have been proposed and some of them have been standardized in ISO16610 serials, the classic surface topography filters often inherit the mode mixing and boundary distortion problems that may lead to surface texture verification failures. This study proposes a new filter algorithm for the surface texture analysis, and it is based on the extended bi-dimensional variational mode decomposition (BVMD), named EBVMD. BVMD is widely used in the field of image processing and it is probably first-time to be used in the field of surface texture analysis. It consists of three steps. Firstly, a coarse-grained parallel genetic algorithm is applied in the devised model to select of optimal penalty factor and decomposition number of the bi-dimensional variational mode, and the best set of modes is gained. Secondly, the instantaneous wavelength value of each mode is obtained by calculating the corresponding isotropic monogenic signals. Finally, the scale-limited surface is extracted by the mean instantaneous wavelength. Experiments are conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed filter on areal surface texture feature extraction with the mode aliasing and shape distortion phenomenon remedies. The experimental results show that the mean square error of roughness reconstructed by the proposed filter compared with the benchmarking values is 6.37×10-5, and owing to high flexibility in practice, the devised EBVMD provides a promising solution to achieve a high accuracy and efficiency filter. © 2022 The Author(s).

Image deblurring techniques that uses deep learning have shown great potential but due to low generalizability, noise immunity and the correlation among different pixels is not addressed in detail that results in unwanted artifact that appears in the deblurred image. To tackle this problem an end-to-end approach is proposed for the recovery of sharp image from blurred one without the estimation of blur kernel. A special type of attention module known as crosshatch attention is used after Residual Block of Generator model for removing noise and for the collection of correlation of different pixels in an image. Hybrid Loss function is defined which focus on different part of image and improve edges and texture details. The performance of the model for deblurring is measured on GoPro dataset. Our proposed model has slightly higher objective and subjective evaluation i-e PSNR, SSIM value and the visual results.

Traditional data monetization approaches face challenges related to data protection and logistics. In response, digital data marketplaces have emerged as intermediaries simplifying data transactions. Despite the growing establishment and acceptance of digital data marketplaces, significant challenges hinder efficient data trading. As a result, few companies can derive tangible value from their data, leading to missed opportunities in understanding customers, pricing decisions, and fraud prevention. In this paper, we explore both technical and organizational challenges affecting data monetization. Agriculture, energy, mining, healthcare, and transportation are a few of the top industries transformed by the industrial internet of things (IIoT). Industry 4.0 mainly relies on machine learning (ML) to use the vast interconnectedness and large amounts of IIoT data that IIoT primarily drives. ML approaches are trained on confidential data generated by the IIoT environment often exposes privacy to adversarial assaults. Blockchain-based ML is established in the proposed secured IIoT research work to safeguard and enhance privacy. This research proposes a Gaussian differential privacy-integrated machine learning model (GDPIMLM), created for a scalable and controlled IIoT system, fully connected (FC) layer, implemented blockchain benefits to create a privacy-preserving mechanism while considering other limitations and reasonable time. A probability test using two altered Gaussian distributions (GD) forms the basis for defining Gaussian differential privacy (GDP). Due to a central restriction theorem for differential privacy, GDP is the primary privacy term within the family of Federal differential privacy (f-DP) policies. Ethereum is used to implement experimental evaluations. Data collections show that the recommended method enhances digital data privacy with industry-leading security without reducing performance. The performance analysis of the proposed model of secured industrial internet of things (IIoT) is studied using the accuracy of comparison with existing methods and for diverse distributed entities (DE). The proposed secured IIoT attains a minimal time consumption (TC) of 790 Sec—the highest accuracy of 92%, outperforming the existing method. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Medical imagery has been increasingly used in diagnosing and treating various diseases, leading to advances in healthcare. While humans usually lead the qualitative interpretation of visual features, Automated Classification of Medical Images Using Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs) has gained traction for accurate image classification. CNNs are a type of deep learning algorithm that attempts to mimic the structure of the human brain and are ideal for image classification due to their convolution layers that can detect patterns within the image. These convolution layers enable the networks to learn the characteristics of the data through a series of convolution and pooling operations. Additionally, they can rapidly identify relationships and patterns within the dataset and extract features from the input image, thus allowing a more accurate classification. With the increasing availability of medical imaging data, advancements in the field of ML/AI has enabled the use of CNNs for automated medical image classification, helping clinicians to diagnose diseases accurately with less time and effort. ©2024 IEEE.
