EPM: Evolutionary Perception Method for Anomaly Detection in Noisy Dynamic Graphs

With the rapid expansion of interactions across various domains such as knowledge graphs and social networks, anomaly detection in dynamic graphs has become increasingly critical for mitigating potential risks. However, existing anomaly detection methods often assume noise-free dynamic graphs, overlooking the prevalence of noisy dynamic graphs in real-world applications. Specifically, noisy dynamic graphs affected by structural noises-such as spurious and missing nodes and edges-struggle to consistently provide reliable structural evidence for anomaly detection. To tackle this challenge, we propose an Evolutionary Perception Method (EPM) for identifying anomalous nodes in noisy dynamic graphs by resisting the interference of structural noises. EPM primarily consists of two components: a dynamic fitter and a filtering reviser. The dynamic fitter characterizes the interaction dynamics of nodes that removes and generates links at each period as a multiple superposition state, utilizing various link prediction algorithms to fit evolutionary mechanisms. Additionally, the filtering reviser designs evolutional entropies to quantify the evolutional uncertainty in multiple superposition states, further designing the Kalman filter to optimize these entropies. Extensive experiments show that the proposed EPM method surpasses state-of-the-art approaches in detecting anomalous nodes in noisy dynamic graphs. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

Using large language model to generate vehicle type recognition algorithm can reduce the burden of developers and realize the rapid development of projects. In this paper, LangChain large model interface provided by Baidu Qianfan large-scale platform is used to realize the auxiliary development of vehicle type recognition. With the support of large model, the training and testing model of vehicle type recognition is constructed by using deep learning method, and the fine-grained vehicle image classification and recognition system is realized. At present, the ResNet50 Enhance MEAL2 model is used for classification recognition, supporting 1748 types of vehicle classification and recognition. In the Car-Dataset of vehicle data, the Accuracy of the training set is about 95.9%, and the Accuracy of the test set is about 84.3%. The backbone network can support Googlenet. ResNet [18, 34, 50], Inception-v3, Mobilenet-v2 and other common models. The use of language large model in this project improves the efficiency of development. © 2024 IEEE.

The safeguarding of critical data stored on devices such as phones, computers, and tablets against unauthorized access has emerged as a central concern in modern society. Along with the increasing reliance on these devices for both productivity and personal affairs, the protection of the vast collections of sensitive information becomes crucial. Information safety against unauthorized access is a critical area in cybersecurity which is addressed through the discipline of penetration testing. This practice involves security researchers simulating adversarial attacks to evaluate the defenses of various technological systems, including web applications, operating systems, and networks, with the goal of protecting sensitive data from malicious actors. This research specifically focuses on the study of penetration testing operating systems without requiring login credentials, employing techniques such as command combinations in languages like BASH within the terminal to gain access to administrative accounts. Our further studies explore the performance of emulating keystrokes when these command combinations are used in conjunction with penetration testing devices, such as a USB Rubber Ducky, focusing on optimizing speed and efficiency. This research uncovers significant security vulnerabilities that, if exploited, could result in severe consequences not only for individual devices but also for entire networks and critical infrastructures, including core businesses, healthcare systems, schools, and government agencies. By identifying and mitigating these vulnerabilities, we contribute to strengthening security protocols, such as implementing system administration enhancements that prevent unauthorized access to the root terminal. In this way, our work bolsters efforts to protect digital systems against evolving cyber threats, ensuring the safety and integrity of both individual and collective digital operations. © 2024 IEEE.

Knowledge Graph Completion (KGC) endeavors to use existing knowledge graph data for predicting missing elements in triples. Recently, due to the efficiency of graph neural networks (GNNs) in capturing topological structures and the effectiveness of text descriptions in supplementing semantic information, numerous models integrating graph structures and entity descriptions have emerged. However, these approaches typically focus on aggregating neighboring feature information and overlook mining hidden structural information. Furthermore, they often append textual descriptions to entities independently without considering the semantics within specific relations. Hence, we propose the SRE-KGC model to address these challenges. First, while aggregating neighbors, we analyze and mine the hidden structure in the neighborhood from the perspective of entities and relations;then we introduced a dual-layer attention mechanism to extract the most pertinent textual information towards relations from both the relational semantic level and the neighbor semantic level respectively;finally, the two learned features are fused and sent to the decoder for scoring. Experiments demonstrate that our model delivers superior performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Approximate Nearest Neighbor Search (ANNS) is a classical problem in data science. ANNS is both computationally-intensive and memory-intensive. As a typical implementation of ANNS, Inverted File with Product Quantization (IVFPQ) has the properties of high precision and rapid processing. However, the traversal of non-nearest neighbor vectors in IVFPQ leads to redundant memory accesses. This significantly impacts retrieval efficiency. A promising approach involves the utilization of learned indexes, leveraging insights from data distribution to optimize search efficiency. Existing learned indexes are primarily customized for low-dimensional data. How to tackle ANNS in high-dimensional vectors is a challenging *** paper introduces Leanor, a learned-index-based accelerator for the filtering of non-nearest neighbor vectors within the IVFPQ framework. Leanor minimizes redundant memory access, thereby enhancing retrieval efficiency. Leanor incorporates a dimension reduction component, mapping vectors to one-dimensional keys and organizing them in a specific order. Subsequently, the learned index leverages this ordered representation for rapid predictions. To enhance result accuracy, we conduct a thorough analysis of model errors and introduce a specialized index structure named Learned Index Forest (LIF). The experimental results show that, compared to representative approaches, Leanor can effectively filter out non-neighboring vectors within IVFPQ, leading to a substantial enhancement in retrieval efficiency. © 2024 Copyright is held by the owner/author(s). Automatic code summarization aims to create co-herent natural language descriptions for code snippets. Recent studies indicate that integrating additional code representation structures improve the quality of generated summaries beyond token sequence-based approaches. Current technical research mainly concentrates on the graph structure information of code snippets. However, using a graph method makes it challenging to extract meaningful semantic information from the code snippets. To address the issue, we investigate how to learn more about code semantics and information from the perspective of code text feature representation. Consequently, we propose a novel model named SFTCS. SFTCS employs a conjoint feature fusion strategy, focusing on two types of information in code snippets: code token sequence features and FGT features based on Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) sequence and graph sequence. An N-adjacency ma-trix based on AST features is constructed, and the corresponding feature for AST block are optimized through a graph-based structure. Subsequently, a FGC decoder processes the two types of features. With the aid of an attention mechanism for feature enhancement, the SFTCS model ultimately predicts the results concretely. Evaluations on two publicly available Java datasets validate the effectiveness of SFTCS, showing its superiority over six advanced code summarization models. Ablation studies further elucidate the contributions of each component within the SFTCS model. © 2024 IEEE.

Precipitation images can clearly reflect the rainfall spatio-temporal features and play an important role in hydrological analysis and flood forecasting. However, it is challenging to mine the association response relationship between rainfall and flood events. This paper proposed a rainfall-flood association pattern database construction method based on rainfall image features. First, the rainfall pattern database and flood pattern database are constructed respectively through the steps of hydrological process segmentation, feature extraction, similarity measurement and cluster analysis. Additionally, association rule mining algorithm is used to conduct rainfall-flood association pattern mining and consrtuct the rainfall-flood association pattern database. The experimental results in the Jialing River basin show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively mine the rainfall-flood association pattern database and provide technical support for intelligent flood prediction based on historical scene patterns. © 2024 IEEE.

Natural products, abundant in biological activities, are synthesized by bacteria during secondary metabolism, yielding a plethora of antibiotics, anticancer drugs, and other potential therapeutics. These compounds are directed by biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs), which encode the necessary enzymes and regulatory elements for their production. With the rapid advancement of sequencing technology, the number of fully sequenced bacterial genomes has exponentially increased, providing researchers with an unprecedented opportunity to discover more BGCs. However, current identification methods are significantly constrained by their reliance on database quantity and predominantly utilize local features inherent in the BGC sequences. In this study, we introduce Biosynthetic Gene Clusters Catcher: GCN-BERT(BGCCGB), a deep learning model leveraging natural language processing for the identification of BGCs in bacterial genomes and classification of BGCs product types. Our approach represents BGCs as sequences represented by protein family (Pfam) identifiers and performs data augmentation on existing BGC data by introducing a synonym replacement method. Local and global features in BGCs sequences are then integrated by BERT and its self-attention mechanism, in conjunction with Graph Convolutional Networks (GCN). The experiment results indicate that BGCCGB effectively learns the features of BGCs, localizes BGCs in bacterial genomes, and predicts the product types of BGCs. Notably, BGCCGB demonstrates a significant performance improvement over previous methods, with an average precision 6.9% in BGC identification. These enhancements underscore the potential of BGCCGB in advancing the discovery and understanding of natural products synthesized by bacteria. © 2024 IEEE.

The quick advancement of technology in internet communication and social media platforms eased several problems during the COVID-19 outbreak. It was, however, used to spread untruths and misinformation regarding the illness and the immunization. In this study, it is examined whether machine-learning algorithms (Naive Bayesian, Random Forest, Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, and Support Vector Machine, as well as Gradient Boost, Bagging, AdaBoost, Stochastic Gradient Descent, and Multi-layer Perceptron) can automatically classify and point out fake news text about the COVID-19 pandemic posted on social media platforms. The 'COVID19-FNIR DATASET' was used to train, test, and fine-Tune machine learning models in order to predict the sentiment class of each fake news item on COVID-19. The results were assessed using a variety of evaluation metrics (confusion matrix, classification rate, true positives rate, etc.). The findings collected demonstrate an extremely high level of accuracy when compared to other models. © 2023 IEEE.

Seismic events, globally, are known to impact electricity networks, causing disruptions in the provision of energy and affecting the recovery well-being of communities. Contingency analysis is an established method for understanding network vulnerability, evaluating possible failure situations, and developing specific measures to minimize, which enhance the security of supply. However, current N-1 approaches often fail to effectively handle the dynamic and evolving natures of highimpact natural disturbances. This paper presents modelling based approach illustrated using scenario-based simulations to illustrate network recovery operational planning using contingency analysis. In this study, the N-2 contingency analysis is performed and solutions are proposed to improve the system resilience using the IEEE 39 bus. The identification of potentially viable credible islands is a major contribution of this work. © 2025 IEEE.
