In this paper we present a novel model set optimization method that is applicable to the complex systems with large parameters variations and multiple operating modes. The proposed method is based on the multi-model approach to improve the system performance of a complex control system of linear or nonlinear characteristics when it operates at various operating conditions. The multi-model control scheme depends on the multiple representations of a process using different models that generate the control signal needed to make the system follow a prescribed desired trajectory. It uses a set of models-combining the offline identified models and the dynamic model bank with the iterative learning, which guides the adaptation process. The offline models are obtained from the physics or chemistry principles. Dynamic model bank summarizes the parameters of the models that successfully approximate the plant. The model bank can be automatically created and updated and does not call for an initial set of models. By virtue of the iterative learning, we expect to make the models set consist the models which best represented the character of the plant. It uses a soft switching mechanism that provides a smooth transition from an interpolate to a pure hard switching scheme between the models in the model set We also demonstrate the advantage of using this approach on an examples considering control of systems with large parameter variations. Simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper has obvious advantage over the only dynamic model bank, and illustrate the potential of the algorithm of the developed method.

Efficient reconfigurable VLSI architecture for 1-D 5/3 and 9/7 wavelet transforms adopted in JPEG2000 proposal, based on lifting scheme is proposed. The embedded decimation technique based on fold and time multiplexing, as well as embedded boundary data extension technique, is adopted to optimize the design of the architecture. These reduce significantly the required numbers of the multipliers, adders and registers, as well as the amount of accessing external memory, and lead to decrease efficiently the hardware cost and power consumption of the design. The architecture is designed to generate an output per clock cycle, and the detailed component and the approximation of the input signal are availab.e alternately. Experimental simulation and comparison results are presented, which demonstrate that the proposed architecture has lower hardware complexity, thus it is adapted for embedded applications. The presented architecture is simple, regular and scalab.e, and well suited for VLSI implementation.

In this paper, an extended Kendall model for the priority scheduling input-line group output with multi-channel in Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) exchange system is proposed and then the mean method is used to model mathematically the non-typical non-anticipative PRiority service (PR) model. Compared with the typical and non-anticipative PR model, it expresses the characteristics of the priority scheduling input-line group output with multi-channel in ATM exchange system. The simulation experiment shows that this model can improve the HOL block and the performance of input-queued ATM switch network dramatically. This model has a better developing prospect in ATM exchange system.

The process of evenly distributing was analyzed. A model of evenly distributing velocity curve based on BP neural network was founded with the character of nonlinear mapping and generalization of neural network.
