Cryptanalysis of an ID-based authenticated dynamic group key agreement with optimal round

Recently, Teng, Wu and Tang proposed a new ID-based authenticated dynamic group key agreement (DGKA) protocol. They claimed that leaving users cannot calculate subsequent group session keys and joining users cannot calculate previous group session keys. In this paper, we will show that Teng et al.'s protocol cannot provide forward confidentiality or backward confidentiality.

In teaching of computer language, how can we improve their hearing of hearing-impaired students featured with special physiological characteristics and reduce the inconvenience and obstacles caused during teaching knowledge in the most effective way? In this research, we have applied simulation technology and developed the teaching simulation platform for them, and it is practically demonstrated in the hearing-impaired students in higher education and the application of research result that the system works well, with intuitive, efficient, and other characteristics, a strong promotion of the college teaching model changes, the language learning, education teaching and research referred.

TH3D: A two-handed interaction framework for desktop virtual environment

This paper describes a two-handed interaction framework for desktop virtual environment, called TH3D. The design goal of this framework is to support the deviceindependent, task-centered, and fast development of twohanded applications on desktop computers. Existing research on two-handed interaction focuses mainly on specific interaction techniques and fails to achieve this goal. Our framework is characterized by its multi-layer design applied to two-handed interaction, including the normalization of raw input data, interaction primitive and task construction, and an efficient, built-in, two-handed interaction technique that integrates the benefits of both egocentric and exocentric interactions. With this framework, application developers can pay more attention to the analysis of interaction tasks and the design of an interaction technique without mainly considering a variety of devices and the mapping between interaction task and technique. The current implementation is tested with ordinary Spacemouse and 2D mouse, but the framework can easily be ported to other device combinations. © 2011 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

Nowadays, there are commercial tools that allow automatic generation of text summaries. However, it is not known the quality of the generated summaries and the method that it is used for the generation of the summaries using these commercial tools. This paper provides a study about the commercial tools such as Copernic Summarizer, Microsoft Office Word Summarizer 2003 and Microsoft Office Word Summarizer 2007, with the objective to detect which of them gives the summaries more similar to those made by a human. Furthermore, the comparison between commercial tools and state-of-the-art methods is realized. The experiments were carried out using DUC-2002 standard collection which contains 567 news in English.

The paradigm of animated pedagogical agent has been developed in recent years. These lifelike autonomous characters inhabit leaning environments and make rich, face-to-face learning interactions possible. Children seem to develop an immediate and deep affinity to such characters: the agents abilities open up new possibilities, e.g. agents can demonstrate complex tasks, employ locomotion and gestures, focus children's attention on the most important aspects of a task at hand, and convey emotional responses to the game. This create a comfortable environment with the ability to both engage and motivate children. The pedagogical agent uses emotion, intensity of emotion, and game states in order to create rules for adapting the system according to child behavior. Results showed that an affective gesture recognition model was able to recognize a child's emotion with a considerably high rate of over 82.5%, and the social agent (estimate intensity of emotion) had a strong relationship with observers' feedback, except in low intensity levels.

This paper proposes a text-dependent speaker identification system applied to Thai language. Isolated digits 0-9 and their concatenations are used for speaking text. Linear prediction coefficients (LPC) are extracted and formed as feature vectors represented each speech signal. Dynamic time warping (DTW) is used to measure distances between referenced and evaluated vectors. These distances, indicating nearness of unknown vectors to references, incorporated with the K-nearest neighbor (KNN) decision technique are used to decide who possesses those unknown vectors. The experimental results have shown that the best identification rate for a single digit is 95.83% and the highest rate for concatenated digits of top-3, top-5, and top-7 are 98.75%, 100%, and 99.20%, respectively. © 1999 IEEE.

Presents a neural network based text-dependent speaker identification system for Thai language. Linear prediction coefficients (LPC) are extracted from speech signal and formed feature vectors. These features are fed into a multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network with backpropagation learning algorithm for training and identification processes. Five Thai tone marks are considered very closely in choosing the sentences in order to achieve the best speaker identification accuracy. Five speaking texts with each Thai tone and a mixed tone text are comparatively experimented. Average identification rate on 9 speakers achieves above 95% when using mixed tone text, and poor results occur with middle and low tone texts, which usually cause vagueness or unclear voices.

He earned his BS degree in electrical engineering from Villanova University in 1967 an MSEE degree from the University of Maryland in 1972 and an MS degree in technical management from The Johns Hopkins University in 1985. He was the lead engineer on the Command Support At-Sea Experiment Project. He started his career in 1967 with the U.S. Army Harry Diamond Laboratory working on computer and communications projects. During this time he worked in Vietnam with the United States Army Vietnam Science Advisor Office. Since joining JHU/APL in 1978 he has worked on a variety of projects associated with computer graphics hospital patient information systems computer networks autonomous underwater vehicles and satellite communications. He is currently assistant group supervisor of the Computer Systems Group. Daniel M. Sunday:is a mathematician on the Principal Professional Staff of the Fleet Systems Department of The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 1971 and did postdoctoral research on neural networks at the University of California at Berkeley. Since joining JHU/APL in 1980 Dr. Sunday has worked as a designer and developer of software systems with emphasis on medical imaging interactive graphics natural language interfaces and software standards. He was the network designer for the Headquarters Integrated Office System (HIOS) Network for the Army at the Pentagon. He is currently the lead software engineer on the Command Support At-Sea Experiment Project.

The Command Support At-Sea Experiment (CS@SE) provides experimental advanced graphics display systems consisting of large screen color displays and operator console color displays in the combat information center (CIC) of an Aegis cruiser and in the tactical flag command center (TFCC) of an aircraft carrier. CS@SE systems are designed to prototype potential command support capabilities in an at-sea environment to validate and refine requirements for planned production system upgrades. These systems use sophisticated color graphics techniques to provide real-time tactical displays that improve the availability of information to an operator by reducing clutter through the use of color, area fill, transparen overlays and intensity coding of track symbols. Interfaces wen developed with the Aegis Display System (ADS), Shipboarc Gridlock System with Auto-correlation (SGS/AC), Flag Dats Display System (FDDS) and Tomahawk Engagement Planning and Exercise Evaluation System (TEPEE) that provided the data for the presentation of a tactical display. Display elements included both real-time and over-the-horizon (OTH) surface track data, velocity leaders, tags, uncertainty ellipses, and history trails. The display also included filled land masses, country boundaries, commercial airways, cities, graphics overlays (i.e., operational areas), weapon system missile performance contours, and engagement plans. This paper describes the experiment, its installation and integration into the shipboard environments of an Aegis cruiser (USS Leyte Gulf ) and an aircraft carrier (USS America , its usage by the ships companies and embarked staffs, and the experiment result! and findings. Key conclusions of the experiment are: 1 Advanced graphics color displays can significantly enhance the ability of the warfighter to assimilate a complex tactical display. 2 Both ships reported a requirement for a correlated OTH and real-time track display with the ability to clearly differentiate the two types
