In manned deep space exploration, teleoperation robot can cooperate with or even replace astronauts to perform various dangerous tasks in unfamiliar environment. By combining augmented reality system with teleoperation robot, the higher reliability and accuracy required by teleoperation robot can be obtained. The real-time tracking algorithm is one of the key and difficult points in the realization of on orbit teleoperation augmented reality system. Feature extraction based on reconstruction model is the basis of real-time tracking of the system. This paper studies the feature extraction algorithm based on reconstruction model, analyzes the feature points extraction of Harris and sift from the principle level combined with the task characteristics, studies the relationship among the time, image size and number of feature points of the two kinds of feature extraction through experiments, and tests and analyzes the practical application effect of the selected feature extraction methods in the system, and obtains the SIFT The conclusion is that feature point extraction is more suitable for on orbit augmented reality teleoperation system, and the future work is prospected. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering.

This article introduces a novel method for predicting solar energy production using an affordable data logger and the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) algorithm. The main goal of this research is to create a precise predictive model for solar energy output, addressing the critical need for accurate forecasting in the renewable energy industry. The study capitalizes on the accessibility and cost-efficiency of a low-cost data logger to collect detailed environmental and solar irradiance data. The ANN algorithm is utilized to analyze the collected dataset, providing a robust and effective approach for forecasting solar energy production. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the developed model achieves an impressive R2 score of 0.95, indicating a high degree of accuracy and reliability in predicting solar energy output. This significant R2 score highlights the proposed methodology’s effectiveness, demonstrating its potential for practical applications in solar energy planning and management. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Stuttering or stammering is a common neurogenic, psychogenic fluency disorder wherein people have uncontrolled blocks on the natural flow of speech. Automatic Stuttering Event Detection (SED) is a widely recognised challenge due to the heterogenic and overlapped nature of stuttering speech. Therefore, this comparative study investigates the impact of stuttering event representation on detection performance. The paper evaluates the performance of SED and shows the impact of employing ASR pre-trained feature extractions on each stuttering event. Moreover, the paper provides different groups of experiments that evaluate the impact of three acoustic features, the Zero Crossing Rate (ZCR), the Spectral Flux Onset Strength Envelope (SFO), and Fundamental Frequency (FF) features, on SED performance. The paper demonstrates that the fusion of spectral and ASR features improves SED performance across all stuttering events by 8%. The F1 score of the Block class increased by approximately 10%, from 15% to 25%, while the word repetition and interjection increased by 8%. In addition, our experiments proved that the fusion of temporal features increased the average F1 score of SED by 2% across all stuttering events. The F1 score of the prolongation and sound repetition classes increased by 6% and 3%, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, a wide variety of deep learning models have emerged across various fields. Nevertheless, the quality of these models varies significantly, making the effective evaluation of model performance a pressing issue. In some open data competitions, remote evaluation based on Docker images has increasingly become a novel and reliable approach, providing a consistent environment to ensure the fairness of model evaluations. However, it imposes high demands on hardware resources, typically requiring dedicated resources for each participant to serve as Docker Registries for the pushing and management of Docker images. In this paper, we extend the load balancing module of the Nginx server by integrating Lua scripts and propose a Cache-based Dynamic Smooth Weighted Round-robin (CDSWRR) algorithm to optimize the pushing process of Docker images. By constructing a unified load balancing entry, the proposed approach simplifies the deployment of Docker Registry clusters. Experiments show that compared to weighted round-robin and IP hash algorithms of Nginx, the CDSWRR algorithm is able to ensure stable pushing of Docker images and reduce both response error rate and response time. © 2024 IEEE.

Due to the prevalence of the COVID-19 epidemic around the globe, children were compelled to engage in remote learning through online platforms, hence mobile phone has become one of their predominant devices. Mobile device with Internet access offers a major outlet for education, entertainment, and social connection, but this combination can lead to several significant bad sequences such as online exploitation, harmful addictions, and other negative impacts of online social networking. To address harmful effects, parental controls are becoming more crucial, yet Sri Lankan parents are less aware of this. Consequently, this study proposes a parental control system to monitor their child's activities. Android, Microsoft Azure, Java, Python, OpenCV, MySQL, and FastAPI are among the most prominent technologies utilized in the proposed application's development. The suggested approach focuses primarily on the Sri Lankan context and aims to enhance parental digital literacy while safeguarding children from cyber threats. Yielded results showed the proposed mobile application for the identification of toxic words, drugs & alcohol content, game character images, and Instagram Sinhala comments severity as 94%, 95%, 97%, and 55% respectively in controlled experiments. © 2022 IEEE.

Offline Reinforcement Learning Algorithm Based on Selection of High-Quality Samples

To address the issue of over-reliance on the quality of dataset samples of offline reinforcement learning algorithms, an offline reinforcement learning algorithm based on selection of high-quality samples(SHS) is proposed. In the policy evaluation stage, higher update weights are assigned to the samples with advantage values, and a policy entropy term is added to quickly identify high-quality action samples with high probability within the data distribution, thereby screening out more valuable action samples. In the policy optimization stage, SHS aims to maximize the normalized advantage function while maintaining the policy constraints on the actions within the dataset. Consequently, high-quality samples can be efficiently utilized when the sample quality of the dataset is low, thereby improving the learning efficiency and performance of the strategy. Experiments show that SHS performs well on D4RL offline dataset in the MuJoCo-Gym environment and successfully screens out more valuable samples, thus its effectiveness is verified. © 2024 Science Press. Digital media triage is a main challenge that faces a digital investigator. Knowing what might be useful during crime investigation could greatly save the investigator's time and enhance outcomes. Memory investigation can get potential benefit from the triage process because of its scattered and diverse contents. The Operating system's paging scheme might map the contents of a file into non-consecutive page frames in the physical memory, making the file-type classification and identification process harder. This paper tackles the memory content triage problem at the page level using a machine-learning methodology. © 2023 IEEE.

MvSR-NAT: Multi-view Subset Regularization for Non-Autoregressive Machine Translation

Conditional masked language models (CMLM) have shown impressive progress in non-autoregressive machine translation (NAT). They learn the conditional translation model by predicting the random masked subset in the target sentence. Based on the CMLM framework, we introduce Multi-view Subset Regularization (MvSR), a novel regularization method to improve the performance of the NAT model. Specifically, MvSR consists of two parts: (1) shared mask consistency: we forward the same target with different mask strategies, and encourage the predictions of shared mask positions to be consistent with each other. (2) model consistency, we maintain an exponential moving average of the model weights, and enforce the predictions to be consistent between the average model and the online model. Without changing the CMLM-based architecture, our approach achieves remarkable performance on three public benchmarks with 0.7-1.15 BLEU gains over previous NAT models. And, we reduce the gap to the stronger Transformer baseline. IEEE
