A feasible route to produce 1.1 GPa ferritic-based low-Mn lightweight steels with ductility of 47%

High- and medium-Mn (H/M-Mn) base lightweight steels are a class of ultrastrong structural materials with high ductility compared to their low-Mn counterparts with low strength and poor ***, producing these H/M-Mn materials requires the advanced or high-tech manufacturing techniques, which can unavoidably provoke labor and cost concerns. Herein, we have developed a facilestrategy that circumvents the strength–ductility trade-off in low-Mn ferritic lightweight steels, by employing low-temperature tempering-induced partitioning (LTP). This LTP treatment affords a typical Fe-2.8Mn-5.7Al-0.3C (wt.%) steel with a heterogeneous size-distribution of metastable austenite embeddedin a ferrite matrix for partitioning more carbon into smaller austenite grains than into the larger austenite ones. This size-dependent partitioning results in slip plane spacing modification and lattice strain,which act through dislocation engineering. We ascribe the simultaneous improvement in strength andtotal elongation to both the size-dependent dislocation movement in austenite grains and the controlleddeformation-induced martensitic transformation. The low-carbon-partitioned large austenite grains increase the strength and ductility as a consequence of the combined martensitic transformation andhigh dislocation density-induced hardening and by interface strengthening. Additionally, high-carbonpartitioned small austenite grains enhance the strength and ductility by planar dislocation glide (inthe low strain regime) and by cross-slipping and delayed martensitic transformation (in the high strainregime). The concept of size-dependent dislocation engineering may provide different pathways for developing a wide range of heterogeneous-structured low-Mn lightweight steels, suggesting that LTP maybe desirable for broad industrial applications at an economic cost.

A chiplet is a die that is designed to be integrated with other chiplets in some type of advanced package. That package could be a system-in-package (SiP), 2.5d (planar or vertical), or 3d-IC. Nearly all chiplets in use today are being developed with some sort of standard interconnect or protocol and re-use them across multiple designs. Logic, memory, sensors, MEMS, mixed-signal, or any one of a variety of different functions can be developed as chiplets. And a 28nm chiplet may be placed next to, and work together with, a 5nm chiplet. The concept is basically to shrink a printed circuit board and put all the pieces into a much smaller space. That increasingly exceeds the size of a reticle, which 858mm² with EUV steppers, and 429mm² with high-NA EUV *** has been developing NPU (Neuromophic Processor Unit) to be integrated together with memory(HBM) or other chiplets by 2.5d Heterogeneous Integration technology. 2.5d Heterogeneous Integration package includes Fan-out based on rdL interposer. Two types of 2.5d package were considered according to the applications, like edge computing or data center computing, kind of more complicated application. The application of edge computing would be less performance compared to the application of data center computing. Then, its NPU needs to be interconnected with memory (HBM or ddr) directly while multi NPUs need to be integrated with memories by embedded bridge technology inside rdL interposer. In case of multi NPUs packaging with memories, Silicon bridges need to be embedded inside rdL interposer as a signal interconnection between NPU and memory or between NPU and ***, single NPU packaging with memory has been developed by applying rdL interposer technology in terms of edge computing application. Single NPU was integrated with two HBM3 on an rdL organic interposer which consists of multi rdL layers (over 6 layers without UBM and pad layer) with minimum line and space of 2 um. This study integrates field outcrop profiles,drilling cores,2d seismic profiles,and 3d seismic data of key areas to analyze the Triassic tectonic-sequence stratigraphy in the Kuqa foreland basin,and investigates the impact of episodic thrust structures on sedimentary evolution and source rock distribution.(1)The Kuqa foreland basin has experienced stages of initial strong,weakened activities,relaxation and inactivity of episodic thrusting,resulting in the identification of 4 second-order sequences(Ehebulake Formation,Karamay Formation,Huangshanjie Formation,Taliqike Formation)and 11 third-order sequences(SQ1-SQ11)in the Triassic *** sequence or secondary sequence displays a“coarse at the bottom and fine at the top”pattern due to the influence of secondary episodic thrust activity.(2)The episodic thrusting is closely linked to regional sequence patterns,deposition and source rock formation and *** sedimentary evolution in the Triassic progresses from fan delta to braided river delta,lake,braided river delta,and meandering river delta,corresponding to the initial strong to the inactivity stages of episodic *** development stage of thick,coarse-grained sandy conglomerate reservoirs aligns with the strong to weakened thrust activities,while the source rock formation period coincides with the relaxation to inactivity stages.(3)Controlled by the intensity and stages of episodic thrust activity,the nearly EW trending thrust fault significantly thickened the footwall source rock during the Huangshanjie Formation,becoming the development center of Triassic source rock,and experienced multiple overthrust nappes in the soft stratum of the source rock,showing“stacked style”distribution.(4)The deep layers of the Kuqa foreland basin have the foundation and conditions necessary for the formation of substantial gas reservoirs,capable of forming various types of reservoirs such as self-generating and self-storing lithology,lower generating and upper st

A full-scale experimental house to develop comprehensive passive cooling techniques for affordable apartments in the hot and humid climate of Indonesia was constructed in the city of Tegal in 2020. It is a 2- to 3-storey apartment building with a pilotis on the ground floor, consisting of 12 units with a total floor area of approximately 2000 m2. This study explains the passive design concept of the experimental house, focusing on the ventilation strategies using a vertical void, and presents the results of a preliminary field measurement of indoor thermal environments. Major thermal parameters were measured under different ventilation conditions. The results showed that the structural cooling effect by the nocturnal ventilation was apparent, but it was difficult to achieve indoor thermal comfort during the peak hours by the nocturnal ventilation alone. This implies that further additional passive cooling techniques such as radiant floor cooling and evaporative cooling are necessary. Moreover, the effect of indoor wind speed on thermal comfort of the tropical occupants should be considered more in detail. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Since deep learning inference involves a significant amount of computations, there have been a lot of efforts to accelerate the inference process by eliminating ineffectual compu-tations. As a solution to this problem, several sparsity-aware deep learning accelerators have been proposed. These accelerators perform the inference on compressed data (filters and feature maps) and dynamically remove the ineffectual multiplications with zero operands. For efficiently handling the compressed data on the accelerators, a simple and effective compression scheme, which encodes the whole data with its nonzero values and their positions, is necessary. However, prior approaches have several shortcomings, such as low compression efficiency and high complexity in compression and decompression hardware. This paper proposes a low-cost compression scheme that can be applied to sparsity-aware deep-learning accelerators. The compression scheme synergistically combines two low-cost compression schemes: Zero-Value Compression (ZVC) and Base-delta-Immediate Compression (BdI). Our experimental evaluation shows that the proposed compression scheme achieves an average compression ratio of 2.26, resulting in 2.33x performance improvement,

Origin of gas condensate reservoir in Fuman Oilfield, Tarim Basin, NW China

To understand the reservoir property and hydrocarbon accumulation conditions of the Middle and Upper Ordovician intraplatform shoal between ultra-deep main strike-slip faults in Fuman Oilfield of the Tarim Basin, China, the main strike-slip faults in and around well Fd1 in the basin were analyzed in terms of sedimentary facies, sequence stratigraphy, intraplatform shoal reservoir property, and oil and gas origins, based on drilling data. The Yingshan Formation intraplatform shoal between the main strike-slip faults is superimposed with low-order faults to form a new type of hydrocarbon play. Firstly, hydrocarbons generated from the Lower Cambrian Yuertusi Formation source rocks vertically migrated into the second member of Yingshan Formation through the main strike-slip faults, and then migrated laterally until they were accumulated. A small amount of oil from Well Fd1 came from the Yuertusi Formation source rocks in the mature stage, and a large amount of gas originated from oil cracking in the ultra-deep reservoirs. Therefore, the secondary gas condensate reservoir in Well Fd1 is characterized by high gas to oil ratio, dry gas (dryness coefficient being 0.970) and hybrid origin. This new type of hydrocarbon play characterized by intraplatform shoal and low-order fault suggests a prospect of continuous hydrocarbon-bearing area in Fuman Oilfield, which will expand the ultrap-deep oil and gas exploration in the oilfield.

In this study, a hybrid COPrAS-MOGWO (Complex Proportional Assessment-Multi-Objective Grey Wolf Optimizer) optimization approach is proposed for optimizing biodiesel production. The performance of the MOGWO is compared with Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA-II). Optimization of biodiesel production from waste frying soybean oil through transesterification is considered as the case study to test the proposed algorithm. The research aims to minimize energy consumption and maximize reaction conversion and green chemistry balance simultaneously. results indicate that MOGWO outperforms NSGA-II in terms of computational time and solution quality. Furthermore, the same best compromise solution (BCS) is identified by COPrAS across different weight-based scenarios. By comparing the relative performance of NSGA-II and MOGWO, this study contributes valuable insights into multi-objective optimization in biodiesel production and provides guidance for researchers and practitioners in selecting appropriate optimization algorithms to improve the efficiency and sustainability of biodiesel production processes. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Thin-film transistors (TFT) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEd) for display applications involve new materials, structures and processes in the design and development phase, and these elements can have a significant impact on the performance of the TFT devices. The increasing need for personalized and diversified display productions brings two problems: 1. To achieve the desired performance indicators in fabrication processes, a large number of experiments are required to continuously optimize the process parameters, which not only increases economic and time costs but also limits the development speed of new productions. 2. The display production iterations are getting faster to meet the market requirement, in other words, the time left for yield improvement becomes shorter. A design-Technology-Manufacturing Co-optimization platform called BOE-ziSIM is introduced in this paper, it was developed to solve the above mentioned problems, the experiment results show that the defects analysis time is reduced from hours to minutes, and the equipment adjustment time is reduced from days to minutes. © 2023 IEEE.

In the competitive telecommunications sector, enhancing customer experience (CE) is crucial for business success. The Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a key indicator of customer loyalty and satisfaction. To boost CE, operators monitor Quality of Experience (QoE) metrics, such as call drop rates, successful installation rates, and data transmission speeds, to identify and address service shortcomings. However, analyzing the primary drivers of NPS remains challenging. This study introduces a hybrid approach combining decision trees (dT) and support vector machines (SVM) to advance CE in telecommunications. This method utilizes SVM for predictive modeling of CE and dT to determine the significant factors affecting it. Customer satisfaction data from a telecommunications provider validates the proposed hybrid model's effectiveness. results demonstrate the model's ability to accurately predict CE and identify essential influencing factors, offering practical implications for companies aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and overall CE. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Multispectral uncooled infrared (Ir) sensors are attracting interest for use in applications such as gas analysis, hazardous material recognition, and biological analysis. However, conventional sensors require additional filters or a resonant structure in the vertical direction. To address this challenge, we investigated plasmonic metamaterial absorbers (PMAs) such as plasmonic crystals (PCs), metal–insulator–metal (MIM), and mushroom-type PMAs. Such PMAs exhibit wavelength-selective absorption by surface plasmon resonance (SPr, and the absorption wavelength can be controlled by modifying the features of the surface pattern (e.g., the periodicity of dimples and the micropatch size). Previously, we fabricated thermopiles with PC-type PMAs and used them for wavelength-selective detection. Although PC-type PMAs have advantages such as easy fabrication, robustness against structural fluctuations, and a wide operating wavelength range, they suffer from an incidence-angle dependence and require a large absorber volume. Here, we fabricated thermopiles with encapsulated MIM (EMIM)-type PMAs using a complementary metal oxide semiconductor process. The devices consist of a top encapsulated layer, periodic top micropatches, a flat insulator layer, and a bottom reflector. The encapsulated layer functions as a protective layer. Like MIM-type PMAs, the EMIM-type PMAs exhibit incidence-angle independence and a thin absorber volume, where the top micropatch induces localized SPr with the bottom reflector, and its size mainly determines the absorption wavelength. Spectral measurements showed that wavelength-selective Ir detection can be performed in the mid-Ir wavelength range without any additional filters. We expect the obtained results to contribute to the realization of advanced functional uncooled Ir sensors and expand their range of applications. © 2023 SPIE.
