We have searched for the Cabibbo-suppressed decay Λc+→ϕpπ0 in e+e− collisions using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 915 fb−1. The data were collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB e+e− asymmetric-energy collider running at or near the ϒ(4S) and ϒ(5S) resonances. No significant signal is observed, and we set an upper limit on the branching fraction of B(Λc+→ϕpπ0)<15.3×10−5 at 90% confidence level. The contribution of nonresonant Λc+→K+K−pπ0 decays is found to be consistent with zero, and the corresponding upper limit on its branching fraction is set to be B(Λc+→K+K−pπ0)NR<6.3×10−5 at 90% confidence level. We also search for an intermediate hidden-strangeness pentaquark decay Ps+→ϕp. We see no evidence for this intermediate decay and set an upper limit on the product branching fraction of B(Λc+→Ps+π0)×B(Ps+→ϕp)<8.3×10−5 at 90% confidence level. Finally, we measure the branching fraction for the Cabibbo-favored decay Λc+→K−π+pπ0; the result is B(Λc+→K−π+pπ0)=(4.42±0.05(stat)±0.12(syst)±0.16(norm))%, which is the most precise measurement to date.

We present the results of a search for the rare decays B→hνν¯, where h stands for K+,KS0,K*+,K*0,π+,π0,ρ+ and ρ0. The results are obtained with 772×106 BB¯ pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e− collider. We reconstruct one B meson in a semileptonic decay and require a single h meson but nothing else on the signal side. We observe no significant signal and set upper limits on the branching fractions. The limits set on the B0→KS0νν¯, B0→K*0νν¯, B+→π+νν¯, B0→π0νν¯, B+→ρ+νν¯, and B0→ρ0νν¯ channels are the world’s most stringent.

We report branching fraction measurements of the decays B+ → η`+ν` and B+ → η0`+ν` based on 711 fb−1 of data collected near the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider. This data sample contains 772 million BB¯ events. One of the two B mesons is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode. Among the remaining ("signal-B") daughters, we search for the η meson in two decay channels, η → γγ and η → π+π−π0, and reconstruct the η0 meson in η0 → ηπ+π− with subsequent decay of the η into γγ. Combining the two η modes and using an extended maximum likelihood, the B+ → η`+ν` branching fraction is measured to be (4.2 ± 1.1(stat.) ± 0.3(syst.)) × 10−5. For B+ → η0`+ν`, we observe no significant signal and set an upper limit of 0.72 × 10−4 at 90% confidence level. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

We present the results of a search for the rare decays B → hνν¯, where h stands for K+, KS0 , K∗+, K∗0, π+, π0, ρ+ and ρ0. The results are obtained with 772×106 BB pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB e+e− collider. We reconstruct one B meson in a semileptonic decay and require a single h meson but nothing else on the signal side. We observe no significant signal and set upper limits on the branching fractions. The limits set on the B0 → KS0 νν¯, B0 → K∗0νν¯, B+ → π+νν¯, B0 → π0νν¯, B+ → ρ+νν¯, and B0 → ρ0νν¯ channels are the world’s most stringent. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

We report a study of the charmless hadronic decay of the charged B meson to the three-body final state K+K−π+. The results are based on a data sample that contains 772×106 BB¯ pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider. The measured inclusive branching fraction and direct CP asymmetry are (5.38±0.40±0.35)×10−6 and −0.170 ±0.073 ±0.017, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The K+K− invariant mass distribution of the signal candidates shows an excess in the region below 1.5 GeV/c2, which is consistent with the previous studies from BABAR and LHCb. In addition, strong evidence of a large direct CP asymmetry is found in the low K+K− invariant-mass region. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

We report the first observation of the Ξc(2930)0charmed-strange baryon with a significance greater than 5σ. The Ξc(2930)0is found in its decay to K-Λ+cin B-→ K-Λ+cΛc-decays. The measured mass and width are [2928.9 ± 3.0(stat.)+0.9-12.0(syst.)] MeV/c2and [19.5 ± 8.4(stat.)+5.9-7.9(syst.)] MeV, respectively, and the product branching fraction is B(B-→ Ξc(2930)0Λc-)B(Ξc(2930)0→ K-Λ+c) = [1.73 ± 0.45(stat.) ± 0.21(syst.)] × 10-4. We also measure B(B-→ K-Λ+cΛc-) = [4.80 ± 0.43(stat.) ± 0.60(syst.)] × 10-4with improved precision, and search for the charmonium-like state Y (4660) and its spin partner, Yη, in the Λc+Λc-invariant mass spectrum. No clear signals of the Y (4660) nor its spin partner are observed and the 90% credibility level (C.L.) upper limits on their production rates are determined. These measurements are obtained from a sample of (772 ± 11) × 106BB pairs collected at the γ(4S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider. We report a measurement of the cross section for KS0 pair production in single-tag two-photon collisions, γ∗γ → KS0 KS0, for Q2 up to 30 GeV2, where Q2 is the negative of the invariant mass squared of the tagged photon. The measurement covers the kinematic range 1.0 GeV ∗| ∗γ center-of-mass system. These results are based on a data sample of 759 fb−1 collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider. For the first time, the transition form factor of the f2′ (1525) meson is measured separately for the helicity-0, -1, and -2 components and also compared with theoretical calculations. Finally, the partial decay widths of the χc0 and χc2 mesons are measured as a function of Q2. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Using a data sample of 980 fb−1 of e+e− annihilation data taken with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider, we report the results of a study of the decays of the Ω0c charmed baryon into hadronic final states. We report the most precise measurements to date of the relative branching fractions of the Ω0c into Ω−π+π0, Ω−π+π−π+, Ξ−K−π+π+, and Ξ0K−π+, as well as the first measurements of the branching fractions of the Ω0c into Ξ−K¯ 0π+, Ξ0K¯ 0, and ΛK¯ 0K¯ 0, all with respect to the Ω−π+ decay. In addition, we investigate the resonant substructure of these modes. Finally, we present a limit on the branching fraction for the decay Ω0c → Σ+K−K−π+. Copyright © 2017, The Authors. The first search for double charged charmoniumlike state production in ϒ(1S) and ϒ(2S) decays and in e+e− annihilation at s=10.52, 10.58, and 10.867 GeV is conducted using data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider. No significant signals are observed in any of the studied modes, and the 90% credibility level upper limits on their product branching fractions in ϒ(1S) and ϒ(2S) decays [B(ϒ(1S,2S)→Zc+Zc(′)−)×B(Zc+→π++cc¯) (cc¯=J/ψ, χc1(1P), ψ(2S))] and the product of Born cross section and branching fraction for e+e−→Zc+Zc(′)− (σ(e+e−→Zc+Zc(′)−)×B(Zc+→π++cc¯)) at s=10.52, 10.58, and 10.867 GeV are determined. Here, Zc refers to the Zc(3900) and Zc(4200) observed in the πJ/ψ final state, the Zc1(4050) and Zc2(4250) in the πχc1(1P) final state, and the Zc(4050) and Zc(4430) in the πψ(2S) final state.
