industrial process data exhibits multi-mode and nonstationary characteristics in the spatial and temporal domain, causing unsatisfactory performance of conventional multivariate statistical fault detection methods. Therefore, we propose a novel round-robin multivariate state estimation fault detection method based on cross-domain collaboration learning, which aims to fully excavate the collaborative information for accurate fault detection. Moreover, to overcome the underdetermined problem of conventional multivariate state estimation fault detection methods, the round-robin multivariate state estimation model in collaborative feature space is constructed for fault detection. Simulation on the Tennessee Eastman process has validated the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Adaptive modification of turbofan engine nonlinear model based on LSTM neural networks and hybrid optimization method

An accurate and reliable turbofan engine model which can describe its dynamic behavior within the full flight envelop and lifecycle plays a critical role in performance optimization, controller design and fault diagnosis. However, due to the performance differences caused by the tolerance of engine manufacturing and assembly, and performance degradation during continuously stringent environmental regulations, the model accuracy is severely reduced. In this paper, an adaptive modification method of turbofan engine nonlinear Component-Llevel Model(CLM) based on Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM) Neural Network(NN) and hybrid optimization algorithm is pro-posed. First, a dynamic compensator with a combined LSTM NN architecture is constructed to compensate for the initial error between the experimental data and CLM of a turbofan engine under health condition. Then, a sensitivity analysis approach based on the entropy coefficient and technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution integrated evaluation is developed to choose the unmeasurable health parameters to be adjusted. Finally, a parallel hybrid optimization algorithm is developed to complete the adaptive model modification when the performance degrades. The proposed method is verified on a military low-bypass twin-spool turbofan engine, and the experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Data-driven soft sensing has become quite popular in recent years, which can provide real-time estimations of key variables in industrial processes. While the introduction of deep learning does improve the prediction performance, it is highly restricted to the number of labeled training data, as well as large computational burden and cumbersome parameter tuning procedures. How to break through the bottleneck of data-drive models in terms of limited labeled data and high computational complexity should be one of the main recent focuses in the field of industrial soft sensing. In this article, a deep co-training PLS (deep CT-PLS) model is proposed to extend the ordinary PLS model to the semi-supervised deep form. While the deep model can efficiently extract inherent natures of process data, the co-training strategy makes lots of unlabeled data useful through a two-view cross training and annotation process. In this case, the performance restriction of the deep PLS model can be greatly relieved, with the incorporation of additional unlabeled data, while at the same time the designed model structure keeps in a low computational complexity. Based on the case study on a real industrial production process, the deep CT-PLS model can significantly improve the soft sensing performance. © 2013 IEEE.

The inductive wear debris sensor is extensively utilized for online measurement of metal particles in lubricating oil, enabling the assessment of the operational state of rotating machinery. Given the harsh working environment of the debris sensor, particularly the susceptibility of small-sized debris signals to be overwhelmed by background noise, the challenge lies in effectively processing the signal to eliminate noise and extract debris signatures. A noise-assisted local mean decomposition(LMD) method that combining kurtosis mode selection and mode cell thresholding denoising is investigated. This approach selects modal components containing characteristic debris signals based on kurtosis, mitigates mode mixing by incorporating complementary noise, and ultimately performs noise reduction and signal reconstruction through mode cell thresholding. Through experimental analysis of both simulated signals and actual signals, the proposed method demonstrates its effectiveness in detecting weak debris signals amidst strong background noise, providing critical support for subsequent feature processing.

In this paper, a parameter-uncertain quadrotor UAV system with unknown external disturbances and actuator failures is studied, and a parameter adaptive fault-tolerant control scheme is based on an improved nonlinear extended state Man-machine trajectory tracking control. First, considering the influence of the unknown multi-source external environmental disturbance on the quadrotor UAV, the external disturbance suffered by the system is estimated and compensated in real-time by introducing an improved nonlinear extended state observer. Secondly, a new type of sliding mode reaching law is designed by using the continuous function with relay characteristics combined with the exponential function, which improves the sliding mode response speed of the system and eliminates the chattering of the sliding mode. Finally, a parameter adaptive law is designed for the actuator fault, and an adaptive fault-tolerant controller is designed by combining the backstepping sliding mode method, and the stability of the control system is proved by using the Lyapunov stability theory. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, an interval estimation scheme is developed for delayed switched positive systems（DSPS） with mode-dependent average dwell time switching. A lossless zonotopic estimation approach is proposed for the delayed intersection zonotope with the positive generator matrix. First, considering the existence of asynchronism between the system mode and the correction matrix mode, the mismatched intersection zonotope is constructed for DSPS to verify the consistency between the system model and ***, by utilizing the introduced radius definitions, the ?∞performance is addressed to optimize the size of delayed intersection zonotopes. Subsequently, we present a joint-design approach of switching signals and the mode-dependent correction matrix by constructing positive generator matrix-based delayed radius functions. Furthermore, guaranteed nonnegative state bounds are derived for the considered DSPS based on the proposed lossless zonotopic estimation criteria. Finally, detailed simulations are conducted to validate the feasibility and superiority of the developed methods.

Identifying factors that exert more influence on system output from data is one of the most challenging tasks in science and *** this work,a sensitivity analysis of the generalized Gaussian process regression(SA-GGPR)model is proposed to identify important factors of the nonlinear counting *** SA-GGPR,the GGPR model with Poisson likelihood is adopted to describe the nonlinear counting *** GGPR model with Poisson likelihood inherits the merits of nonparametric kernel learning and Poisson distribution,and can handle complex nonlinear counting ***,understanding the relationships between model inputs and output in the GGPR model with Poisson likelihood is not readily accessible due to its nonparametric and kernel ***-GGPR addresses this issue by providing a quantitative assessment of how different inputs affect the system *** application results on a simulated nonlinear counting system and a real steel casting-rolling process have demonstrated that the proposed SA-GGPR method outperforms several state-of-the-art methods in identification accuracy.

Extremum seeking (ES) is a real-time optimization strategy, thus transmission delays in the feedback loop of ES have big impact on its stability. How big delay that ES control systems are able to withstand? This paper tries to provide a potential answer to this problem. We extend a newly developed time-delay approach of ES from quadratic maps to general nonlinear maps under known constant transmission delays. The gradient-based ES in the case of single-variable and multivariable nonlinear static maps are considered. Different from the recent literature, the time-delay method in this paper is applicable to a big family of nonlinear static maps, and the robustness of ES control systems to transmission delays is investigated. By transforming the original ES system into a kind of time-delay system of neutral type, and further transforming the neutral system into a perturbed retarded system with constant delays, we provide simple Lyapunov-based sufficient conditions in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to guarantee practical stability of the ES closed-loop system. © 2024 IEEE.

Water content and primary fractures can change the mechanical characteristics of rock,making it easy to induce geological ***,direct shear tests of red sandstone under the action of water-fracture were carried out in this *** results show that shear strength of rock samples with fractures is less than that of intact rock *** the increase of primary fracture dip angle,shear strength and macroscopic crushing area of the rock sample increases first and then decreases with 20°as the *** shows that the primary fractures weaken the shear mechanical properties and change the macroscopic failure *** shear performance of water-bearing rock samples is weaker than that of intact rock samples,and the weakening degree of water-saturated on shear performance of rock samples is lower than that of unsaturated water *** fracture surfaces of rock samples are divided into‘shortest path single through type’,‘longest path single through type’and‘cross path through type’.The failured rock samples are divided into‘single through type’and‘cross through type’.The research results can provide reference for geological disaster management under relevant conditions.
