Atmospheric deposition of particulate organic nitrogen（ONp） is a significant process in the global nitrogen cycle and may be pivotally important for N-limited ***,past models largely overlo oked the spatial and chemical inhomogeneity of atmospheric ONpand were thus deficient in assessing global *** constructed a comprehensive global model of atmospheric gaseous and particulate organic nitrogen（ON）,including the latest knowledge on emissions and secondary *** this model,we simulated global atmospheric ONpabundances consistent with *** estimated global atmospheric ON deposition was 26 Tg N yr-1,predominantly in the form of ONp(23 Tg N yr-1)and mostly from wildfires（37%）,oceans（22%） and aqueous productions（17%）.Globally,ONpcontributed as much as 40% to 80% of the total N deposition downwind of biomass-burning *** ONpdeposition thus constituted the dominant external N supply to the N-limited boreal forests,tundras and the Arctic Ocean,and its importance maybe amplified in a future warming climate.

In response to the situation where the first blade pick of a coal mining machine is prone to failure when cutting hard coal, the working process of the drum was simulated using finite element method. The force on the pick at different positions was obtained, and the main reasons for the failure of the first blade pick were analyzed. The effectiveness and practicality of reducing the force on the first blade pick were proposed and simulated. The research results indicate that the force on the first blade tooth can be effectively reduced by increasing the diameter of the end disk. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Single phase 0.76(Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5))TiO_(3)–0.24SrTiO_(3) ferroelectric ceramics have been synthesized with homogenous anatase and hierarchical rutile TiO_(2) raw reactants(BNST-A and BNST-R).Either calcined powder persists the microstructure characteristics of raw *** the result,when the sintering temperature increases from 1000 to 1200℃,the average grain size and density of BNST-A increase from 0.49 to 1.48μm and 5.02 to 5.61 g/cm^(3),while those of BNST-R from 0.86 to 1.44μm and 5.37 to 5.61 g/cm^(3).BNST-A illustrates a predominant ergodic relaxor state,and BNST-R prefers a non-ergodic relaxor state,as evidenced by the distinct polarization-electric field loops and current-electric field ***,such a distinct ferroelectric state is independent of sintering *** is believed that the special hierarchical microstructure of rutile TiO_(2) reactant is beneficial to form denser ceramics with larger grains,and thus suppresses the contributions of polar nanoregions and defect-induced built-in field to ferroelectric property,leading to non-ergodic relaxor *** work clearly demonstrates the nonnegligible effects of TiO_(2) reactants on the microstructure and properties of BNST ferroelectric ceramics.

Biochar promotes FePO4 solubilization through modulating organic acids excreted by Talaromyces pinophilus

Inoculating phosphate-solubilizing microbes (PSMs) is an effective approach to increasing the soluble phosphorus content in soil for plant growth. While biochar has been shown to promote microbe growth, it can also lead to phosphate precipitation. Therefore, the specific benefits of biochar application for phosphate activation remain unclear. In this study, biochars with varying physicochemical properties were utilized as carriers for microbes. PSMs of Talaromyces pinophilus (T. pinophilus) strains were isolated from the rhizosphere soil of corn, radish, and wheat plants, with FePO4 as the sole phosphorus source. To understand how biochar modulates the phosphate-solubilizing capacity of T. pinophilus, we measured the dissolved phosphate content, strain biomass, and the concentrations of various organic acids excreted by the strains. Our findings suggested that biochar primarily enhanced the phosphate-solubilizing ability of T. pinophilus by stimulating the secretion of organic acids, rather than by increasing strain biomass. The phosphate-solubilizing ability increased by 356% after adding corn straw biochar to the strains isolated from wheat rhizosphere soil. Notably, citric acid showed the most significant correlation with the phosphate-solubilizing ability of the strains. laboratory-simulated experiments using individual organic acids indicated that the abundant carboxyl groups in citric acid may be a primary property contributing to phosphate release from FePO4. This study highlights the essential role of organic acids excreted by PSMs, which are stimulated by biochar, in phosphate solubilization. These findings not only provide valuable insights for optimizing phosphate utilization in the environment but also contribute to the development of biochar-based biofertilizers, advancing sustainable agricultural practices. © The Author(s) 2025.

In this paper, we propose an adaptive sliding mode control (SMC) design technique to track the desired trajectory of the skid-steering mobile robots in the presence of model uncertainties and perturbations. To enhance the stability of the robot and ensure accurate trajectory tracking, adaptive rules have been employed to estimate the upper bound of perturbations. This estimation, in turn, serves to stabilize the robot and guarantee the desired trajectory. Moreover, we analyze and calculate the convergence time of the sliding surface, ensuring its convergence within finite time. Additionally, efforts have been made to minimize the chattering phenomenon by smoothing the discontinuity of the sliding surface. Simulation results validate the efficacy of the proposed controller, demonstrating its ability to deliver acceptable performance in diverse scenarios.

Aiming at the mechanical continuous operation of bauxite mining process, firstly, an improved scheme of cutting bauxite with an 8-pole motor shearer is proposed, which is practical and feasible, and a 3D model is established in Solid Edge. Secondly, considering the higher meshing frequency of high-speed gear in the cutting part, the meshing characteristics under different loads were investigated by MASTA software, and the laws of contact stress, meshing dislocation and trans-mission error were obtained.
