Identification and seasonal variation of specific particulate bound (halogenated) polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in air from different metal industrial parks in Northwest China

During the process of industrial heating, a large amount of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and their halogenated compounds (Cl/Br-PAHs) can be formed. However, there is still limited understanding of the chemicals from different metal smelting industrial parks. This study evaluated the seasonal variations, composition profiles, and source allocations of the atmospheric particulate-bound PAHs and Cl/Br-PAHs in different metal industrial parks in a typical industrial city in northwest China. The results showed that the main PAHs produced by metal smelting were low molecular weight isomers, and the concentrations of Cl-PAHs were lower compared to Br-PAHs. The main Br-PAHs were 1-Br-Pyr and 4-Br-Pyr, while 9-Cl-Fle, 1-Cl-Pyr, and 6-Cl-BaP were the dominated Cl-PAH isomers. No significant difference was found in the concentrations among the sites, whereas the levels of the target chemicals were higher during cold months compared to warm months. The main source of PAHs was coal combustion and gasoline vehicle emission during metal smelting, and that of Cl/Br-PAHs was also industrial coal burning. In addition to the primary source, the secondary chlorination of parent PAHs was also a significant source of Cl-PAHs in the production of high purity aluminum. This study suggests that Cl-PAHs and Br-PAHs may behave differently in the atmosphere. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

60NiTi alloy is considered to be a promising material for specialized bearing and gear applications due to its high hardness,strength,and low ***,fabricating 60NiTi through conventional processing methods is challenging due to the brittleness and poor *** this study,60NiTi with high relative density was successfully fabricated directly from pre-alloyed powder through hot isostatic *** effects of solution and aging treatments on microstructure and mechanical properties were systematically studied by advanced characterization *** hot-isostatic-pressed 60NiTi showed low average hardness and elastic strain due to the formation of a soft Ni_(3)Ti phase and B2 NiTi *** treatment above 1000℃dissolved the Ni_(3)Ti phase and promoted the formation of nanoscale Ni_(4)Ti_(3)precipitates,which significantly improved the hardness,strength,and elastic strain of *** formation of the Ni_(4)Ti_(3) phase can be mainly attributed to the driving forces induced by the chemical supersaturation and mechanical stress ***,the phase transformation mechanisms during heat treatment and compression test were discussed.

Dandelion root contains triterpenoids,polyphenols and flavonoids,dandelion leaf is rich in polyphenols,flavonoids,flavonoids glycosides,and dandelion flower mainly contains flavonoids,among other *** different substance content leads to specific benefits and function effects of each *** transform infrared spectroscopy,three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy and related multivariate statistical methods are widely used to determine sample characteristics,but limited research focuses on the substance difference and characteristics in dandelion *** this paper,Fourier transform infrared spectra-principal component analysis and three-dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy-parallel factor analysis were conveyed to analyze dandelion stem,leaf,root and flower tissue extracts,for determining the substance species and content difference among dandelion tissues and evaluating the discrimination capacity of these analysis *** Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of root was distinct from others,and the two principal component models could distinguish dandelion stem and flower,but failed to differentiate leaf and root;while the excitation and emission matrix showed that stem and flower,leaf and root had similar intensity band distribution but different fluorescence intensity,and the parallel factor analysis results proved that one-and threecomponent models cannot differentiate the tissues of stem and flower,leaf and root,since the fluorescent compounds(polyphenol,flavonoid etc.)structure and content were similar in different *** results indicated that Fourier transform infrared-principal component analysis might be a useful method when various fluorescent compounds exist.

Root-KGD: A Novel Framework for Root Cause Diagnosis Based on Knowledge Graph and industrial Data

With the development of intelligent manufacturing and the increasing complexity of industrial production, root cause diagnosis has gradually become an important research direction in the field of industrial fault diagnosis. However, existing research methods struggle to effectively combine domain knowledge and industrial data, failing to provide accurate, online, and reliable root cause diagnosis results for industrial processes. To address these issues, a novel fault root cause diagnosis framework based on knowledge graph and industrial data, called Root-KGD, is proposed. Root-KGD uses the knowledge graph to represent domain knowledge and employs data-driven modeling to extract fault features from industrial data. It then combines the knowledge graph and data features to perform knowledge graph reasoning for root cause identification. The performance of the proposed method is validated using two industrial process cases, Tennessee Eastman Process (TEP) and Multiphase Flow Facility (MFF). Compared to existing methods, Root-KGD not only gives more accurate root cause variable diagnosis results but also provides interpretable fault-related information by locating faults to corresponding physical entities in knowledge graph (such as devices and streams). Lunar core samples are the key materials for accurately assessing and developing lunar ***,the difficulty of maintaining borehole stability in the lunar coring process limits the depth of lunar ***,a strategy of using a reinforcement fluid that undergoes a phase transition spontaneously in a vacuum environment to reinforce the borehole is *** on this strategy,a reinforcement liquid suitable for a wide temperature range and a high vacuum environment was developed.A feasibility study on reinforcing the borehole with the reinforcement liquid was carried out,and it is found that the cohesion of the simulated lunar soil can be increased from 2 to 800 kPa after using the reinforcement ***,a series of coring experiments are conducted using a selfdeveloped high vacuum(vacuum degree of 5 Pa)and low-temperature(between-30 and 50℃)simulation *** is confirmed that the high-boiling-point reinforcement liquid pre-placed in the drill pipe can be released spontaneously during the drilling process and finally complete the reinforcement of the *** reinforcement effect of the borehole is better when the solute concentration is between0.15 and 0.25 g/mL.

Short‐term and long‐term memory self‐attention network for segmentation of tumours in 3D medical images

Hydrogen storage plays a pivotal role in the hydrogen industry,yet its current status presents a *** strategies have emerged in recent years to address this ***_(2) has stood out as a promising solid-state hydrogen storage material due to its impressive gravimetric and volumetric hydrogen density,but its practical application is hampered by elevated thermal stability and sluggish *** this study,we introduce a solution by synthesizing Pd metallene through a one-pot solvothermal method,revealing a distinctive highly curved lamellar structure with a thickness of around 1.6 *** this Pd metallene into MgH_(2) results in a composite system wherein the starting dehydrogenation temperature is significantly lowered to 439 K and complete dehydrogenation occurs at 583 K,releasing 6.14 wt.%*** activation energy of dehydrogenation for MgH_(2) was reduced from 170.4 kJ mol^(-1) to 79.85 kJ mol^(-1) after Pd metallene *** enthalpy of dehydrogenation of the MgH_(2)-10 wt.%Pd sample was calculated to be 73 kJ mol^(-1) H_(2)^(-1) and decreased by 4.4 kJ mol^(-1) H_(2)^(-1) from that of dehydrogenation of pure MgH_(2)(77.4 kJ mol^(-1) H_(2)-1).Theoretical calculations show that the average formation energy and average adsorption energy of hydrogen vacancies can be significantly reduced in the presence of both Pd clusters and Pd single atoms on the surface of MgH_(2)/Mg,*** suggests that the synergistic effect of in situ formed Pd single atoms and clusters significantly improves the hydrogenation and dehydrogenation *** identified active sites in this study hold potential as references for forthcoming multi-sized active site catalysts,underscoring a significant advancement toward resolving hydrogen storage limitations.

A flame retardant separator modified by MOFs-derived hybrid for safe and efficient Li-S batteries

In this work,we have successfully prepared a novel separator modified with N,S co-doped carbon framework(named NSPCF)with confined CoS_(2) nanoparticles and rooted carbon nanotubes material(named NSPCF@CoS_(2))to apply for high-performance Lithium-Sulfur batteries(Li-S batteries).Robust carbon structure with large specific surface can act as a physical barrier and possess physical adsorption effect on lithium polysulfides(LiPSs).In addition,highly-conductive carbon can improve integral conductivity,leading to the fast charge transport and reaction ***,doping heteroatoms could form more active sites to adsorb LiPSs strongly so that modified separator could inhibit the shuttle effect ***,the presence of CoS_(2) further enhances the ability of modified separator to trap LiPSs owing to the Lewis acid-base *** a result,the NSPCF@CoS_(2)@C-150 battery can deliver initial discharge capacities of 863.0,776.2,649.1 and 489.4 mAh g^(-1) at 0.1,0.5,1 and 2C with a high sulfur loading of 2.04 mg cm^(-2),***,when turning the current density back to 0.1 C,its discharge capacity can recover to 1008.7 mAh g^(-1).In addition,the modified separators exhibit outstanding capacities to restrain the growth of lithium *** is noteworthy that the flame retardant performances of Li-S batteries are improved dramatically owing to the novel structures of modified *** rationally designed separator endows Li-S batteries with higher safety and excellent electrochemical performances,providing a feasible strategy for practical application of Li-S batteries.
