Rhizoma paridis saponins protected against liver injury in diethylnitrosamine-induced mice

Background:Diethylnitrosamine,one of food additives,possessed a strong carcinogenic effect in *** paridis saponins,as the main active components of Paris polyphylla,have a good anti-cancer effect in our previous *** verify their inhibitory effect on diethylnitrosamine-induced liver cancer,we carried out this ***:We established diethylnitrosamine-induced mouse hepatocarcinoma models to evaluate antitumor of Rhizoma paridis ***,gas chromatography-mass spectrometry was applied to analyze the metabolites in the urine and serum ***:Rhizoma paridis saponins alleviated diethylnitrosamine-induced *** the one hand,Rhizoma paridis saponins down-regulated the levels of liver function markers,such as alanine aminotransferase,aspartate transaminase and alpha *** the other hand,Rhizoma paridis saponins reduced metabolic disorders by increasing fructose and mannose metabolism,and decreasing pentose and glucuronate interconversion,inositol phosphate metabolism,and the process of saturated fatty acids transforming to unsaturated fatty acids,which based on the regulating mRNA expression of glucose transporter type 4,lactate dehydrogenase A,fatty acid synthetas,acetyl-CoA carboxylase and apolipoprotein ***:Rhizoma paridis saponins has the potential application to inhibit chemical-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in the future.

Effective monitoring of atmospheric concentrations is vital for assessing the Stockholm Convention's effectiveness on persistent organic pollutants(POPs).This task,particularly challenging in polar regions due to low air concentrations and temperature fluctuations,requires robust sampling ***,the influence of temperature on the sampling efficiency of polyurethane foam discs remains *** we employ a flow-through sampling(FTS)column coupled with an active pump to collect air samples at varying *** delved into breakthrough profiles of key pollutants,such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),polychlorobiphenyls(PCBs),and organochlorine pesticides(OCPs),and examined the temperature-dependent behaviors of the theoretical plate number(N)and breakthrough volume(VB)using frontal chromatography *** findings reveal a significant relationship between temperature dependence coefficients(K_(TN),K_(TV))and compound volatility,with decreasing values as volatility *** distinct trends are noted for PAHs,PCBs,and OCPs in KTN,KTV values exhibit similar patterns across all ***,we establish a binary linear correlation between log(V_(B)/m^(3)),1/(T/K),and N,simplifying breakthrough level estimation by enabling easy conversion between N and ***,an empirical linear solvation energy relationship incorporating a temperature term is developed,yielding satisfactory results for N at various *** approach holds the potential to rectify temperature-related effects and loss rates in historical data from long-term monitoring networks,benefiting polar and remote regions.

There is a lack of understanding about the bacterial,fungal and archaeal communities’composition of solid-phase denitrification(SPD)*** investigated four SPD systems with different carbon sources by analyzing microbial gene sequences based on operational taxonomic unit(OTU)and amplicon sequence variant(ASV).The results showed that the corncob-polyvinyl alcohol sodium alginate-polycaprolactone(CPSP,0.86±0.04 mg NO_(3)^(−)-N/(g·day))and corncob(0.85±0.06 mg NO_(3)^(−)-N/(g·day))had better denitrification efficiency than polycaprolactone(PCL,0.29±0.11 mg NO_(3)^(−)-N/(g·day))and polyvinyl alcoholsodium alginate(PVA-SA,0.24±0.07 mg NO_(3)^(−)-N/(g·day)).The bacterial,fungal and archaeal microbial composition was significantly different among carbon source types such as Proteobacteria in PCL(OTU:83.72%,ASV:82.49%)and Rozellomycota in PVA-SA(OTU:71.99%,ASV:81.30%).ASV methods can read more microbial units than that of OTU and exhibit higher alpha diversity and classify some species that had not been identified by OTU such as Nanoarchaeota phylum,unclassified_f_Xanthobacteraceae genus,etc.,indicating ASV may be more conducive to understand SPD microbial *** co-occurring network showed some correlation between the bacteria fungi and archaea species,indicating different species may collaborate in SPD *** KEGG function prediction results were obtained in two bioinformatic methods generally and some fungi and archaea functions should not be ignored in SPD *** results may be beneficial for understanding microbial communities in SPD systems.

Salinity is a major environmental stress affecting crop growth and productivity *** application of halotolerant plant growth-promoting bacteria(HT-PGPB)has been widely recognized to promote crop growth and reduce the adverse effects of salt *** this study,key endophytic bacteria that can respond to salinity changes were identified by analyzing the microbial community in propagules of Kandelia *** tsuruhatensis DYX29,a strain that can grow normally under high salinity conditions with a sodium chloride(NaCl)concentration of 5%(w/v),was obtained by pure ***29 can produce siderophores with a siderophore unit value of 87.6%and 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate(ACC)deaminase with 29 UL^(-1),and its synthesis of intracellular amino acids and auxin can be induced by high *** with DYX29 can remarkably promote the salt tolerance of *** salt stress,the addition of DYX29 was shown to effectively promote the growth of rice seedlings through a variety of *** increased the biomass of rice seedlings by 32.9%(dry weight)and promoted the accumulation of soluble sugars by 23.1%.It also increased catalase(CAT)and peroxidase(POD)activities in rice leaves by 37.8 and 88.2%,***,it maintained the ionic homeostasis in rice roots and *** addition,it upregulated the expression of growth-promoting hormones,such as indole-3-acetic acid(IAA),brassinolide(BL),abscisic acid(ABA),and salicylic acid(SA),in rice roots by 27.8,69.5,123.7 and 28.6%,*** study provides inspiration for screening valuable salt-tolerant pro-biotic bacteria from mangrove ecosystems and their use for crop growth promotion under salt *** can also provide useful references for the development of new salt-tolerant and pro-biotic biofertilizers,as well as the investigation of the related mechanisms.

Identification of phenolanine in rape bee pollen and its protective effect and mechanism on alcoholic liver injury

Rape bee pollen has attracted increasing interests for its excellent protective effect against chemicalinduced liver injury owing to its abundant *** study aims to analyze the types and contents of phenolamides(seldom concerned)in rape bee pollen and their protective mechanism on alcoholic liver disease(ALD).Different from the previous finding that flavonoids are dominant polyphenols in bee pollen polyphenolic extract,our results demonstrated that there are only three flavonoids but 24 phenolamides in the as-prepared rape bee pollen phenolic extract(PPE).In addition,PPE was found to significantly improve the viability(from 54.9%to 84.1%,89.2%,and 94.0%)of alcohol-induced AML12 cells and alleviate alcoholinduced cell apoptosis(from 28.5%to 22.89%,22.0%,and 17.4%).To dissect the underlying mechanism for the protective effect of PPE against ALD,the molecular pathway was identified by RNA-Seq *** data revealed that PPE may protect against ALD by decreasing inflammation,cholesterol,and fatty acid synthesis(P<0.05).The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism(NIAAA)model was used to further evaluate the hepatoprotective effect of PPE in vivo,and the results validated that PPE could alleviate liver injury and hepatic steatosis(from 22.7%to 11.5%and 10.9%)induced by *** the dominant polyphenols in PPE,phenolamides can be a class of valuable polyphenolic compounds in bee pollen with the potential to alleviate ALD.

This paper presents a quantitative evaluation method based on Dempster-Shafer(D-S) evidence theory and Gradient Boosting Regression Tree(GBRT) for defects in gas gathering station. The detection experiments were conducted using pulsed eddy current and ultrasound for defects with different depth. Through the experiments, an optimal feature selection method based on D-S evidence is proposed, which combines the Fisher Score and Pearson correlation coefficient to select the optimal features. The optimal features are then fed into GBRT to predict the depth of defects. The optimal feature selection method and GBRT are compared with other method. The results show that the proposed method in this paper selects better feature and has better performance in the quantitative evaluation of defect depth.

This paper studies the bipartite consensus problem of high-order linear leader-following multi-agent systems (MASs) under fixed and switching topologies. All followers are divided into two competitive subsets, where the followers in the same subset are cooperative. In different topological environment, we respectively design three different distributed controllers via state feedback, observer and output feedback to achieve the so-called bipartite consensus with the structural balanced condition. Finally, numerical examples are given to demonstrate the analytic results. © 2023 IEEE.
