The aim of the present work is to assess the performance of three-dimensional Double Directional Filtering (TDDDF) algorithm for detecting and tracking a weak moving dim target against a complex cluttered background in infrared image sequences. This paper proposes an novel TDDDF to improve the integrated signal-to-clutter ratio (ISCR) and enhance the three-dimensional directional filter's (TDDF) target energy accumulation ability further. Since the TDDDF do well to whitening noise (or quasi whitening noise) but not so sensitive to complex cloudscene background, prior to the filtering, a newly pre-whitening method termed Spatial-Temporal Adaptive Filtering algorithm is used here to suppress clutter background. Extensive experiment results demonstrate the proposed algorithm's ability in detecting weak dim point target against cloud-cluttered background. Finally, performance comparisons of the proposed algorithm and TDDF, on real IR image data, are presented in which the advantages of the proposed TDDDF filters are shown.

In this paper, a pixel-level image fusion algorithm based on Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT) has been proposed. Compared with Contourlet Transform, NSCT is redundant, shift-invariant and more suitable for image fusion. Each image from different sensors could be decomposed into a low frequency image and a series of high frequency images of different directions by multi-sacle NSCT. For low and high frequency images, they are fused based on local-contrast enhancement and definition respectively. Finally, fused image is reconstructed from low and high frequency fused images. Experiment demonstrates that NSCT could preserve edge significantly and the fusion rule based on region segmentation performances well in local-contrast enhancement.

Vehicle scheduling plays a crucial role in public transport bus companies. An efficient schedule can help bus companies reduce operating costs while being an essential guide to daily operations. However, the precompiled schedule is usually hard to be adhered to in practice due to the diversity of traffic and driving conditions. Therefore, dynamic vehicle scheduling becomes an important supplement to the daily operations. In this paper, a dynamic vehicle scheduling approach based on Hierarchical Task Network(HTN) is proposed. In the approach, two dynamic vehicle scheduling strategies are devised according to the practical scheduling philosophy. The first is to reschedule for individual vehicle independently, the objective is to maximize the execution of the precompiled schedule. The second is to reschedule for multiple vehicles simultaneously, which aims to maintain the scheduled headways. The two strategies are achieved in the HTN planning through different task decomposition processes, which are constrained by vehicle resources currently available. To verify the feasibility, this approach is implemented based on the Simple Hierarchical Ordered Planner 2(SHOP2), which is a domainindependent and state-based forward HTN planner. Experimental results show that the approach has good adaptability to solve dynamic vehicle schedule problem, meanwhile, it can be helpful to deal with the abnormal services agilely and hence to increase the service quality of public transit.

A novel evolutionary route planner for aircraft is proposed in this paper. In the new planner, individual candidates are evaluated with respect to the workspace, thus the computation of the configuration space is not required. By using problem-specific chromosome structure and genetic operators, the routes are generated in real time, with different mission constraints such as minimum route leg length and flying altitude, maximum turning angle, maximum climbing/diving angle and route distance constraint taken into account.

A noise erosion operator based on partial differential equation (PDE) is introduced, which has an excellent ability of noise removal and edge preservation for two-dimensional (2D) gradient data. The operator is applied to estimate a new diffusion coefficient.
