The protocol stack plays a critical role in determining the performance of networked control system (NCS), which governs the communication activities and directly affects the communication quality of service (QoS). Full or partial reconfiguration of protocol stack offers both optimized communication service and system performance. This paper proposes a finite state machines (FSMs) approach for modeling analysis of reconfiguration protocols stack in NCS. The proposed reconfiguration architecture is implemented by illustrating a simulation for the flexible scheduling scheme on the Ethernet protocol. Detail FSM implement modules for composing node models of master and salve are discussed respectively in OPNET environment. The simulation results validate the effective of our architectural concepts on the protocol implementation in NCS. © 2010 IEEE.

This paper addresses the stability and stabilization problems for a class of positive linear systems in the presence of saturating *** objective is to give conditions of the stability,and design state feedback control laws such that the closed-loop systems is asymptotically stable and positive at the origin with a large domain of *** sufficient conditions for stabilization and positivity are derived via the Lyapunov functions method and convex analysis in both the continuous-time and the discrete-time cases,*** state feedback controller design and the estimation of domain of attraction are presented by solving a convex optimization problem with LMIs constraints.A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Recent work has made considerable progress in exploring contextual information for human parsing with the Fully Convolutional Network framework. However, there still exist two challenges: (1) inherent relative relationships between parts;(2) scale variation of human parts. To tackle both problems, we propose a Graph-Based Scale-Aware Network for human parsing. First, we embed a Graph-Based Part Reasoning Layer into the backbone network to reason the relative relationship between human parts. Then we construct a Scale-Aware Context Embedding Layer, which consists of two branches to capture scale-specific contextual information, with different receptive fields and scale-specific supervisions. In addition, we adopt an edge supervision to further improve the performance. Extensive experimental evaluations demonstrate that the proposed model performs favorably against the state-of-the-art human parsing methods. More specifically, our algorithm achieves 53.32% (mIoU) on the LIP dataset. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

Semantic Segmentation is the foundation of scene understanding and automatic driving tasks. One of the challenges of semantic segmentation is the reduction of feature resolution as the network goes deep. In this paper, the low-resolution features are integrated into high-resolution features progressively, enabling high-resolution prediction. Currently, incorporating the auxiliary depth information into a semantic segmentation framework has proven to be helpful to improve accuracy. However, additional process of depth data immensely increases computational complexity, resulting in limitation for practical application. Here, a real-time bimodal semantic segmentation network that effectively extracts and fuses complementary information is investigated. Our network extends a light-weight architecture which can seamlessly take advantage of various prevalent backbone networks. Our model extracts RGB and depth features from two branches in parallel and integrates multi-level features of two modalities through bimodal feature fusion blocks. To reduce computation complexity, we employ depth-wise separable convolution while keep performance intact. Meanwhile, an attention mechanism is exploited to recalibrate the fusion modality features adaptively. Refinement components are retained to refine multi-resolution feature maps. We conduct ablative study to demonstrate the availability of our bimodal fusion blocks. Comprehensive experiments validate that the proposed network outperforms the state-of-the-arts and achieves 18 FPS on the challenging RGB-D dataset, NYUDv2. © 2022 IEEE.

Due to the constraints of manufacturing and materials,high-power plants cannot rely on only one solid oxide fuel cell stack.A multi-stack system is a solution for a highpower system,which consists of multiple fuel cell stacks.A short lifetime is one of the main challenges for the fuel cell before largescale commercial applications,and prognostic is an important method to improve the reliability of fuel *** from the traditional prognostic approaches applied to single-stack fuel cell systems,the key problem in multi-stack prediction is how to solve the correlation of multi-stack degradation,which can directly affect the accuracy of *** response to this difficulty,a standard Brownian motion is added to the traditional Wiener process to model the degradation of each stack,and then the probability density function of the remaining useful life(RUL)of each stack is ***,a Copula function is adopted to reflect the dependence between life distributions,so as to obtain the remaining useful life for the whole multi-stack system.1 The simulation results show that compared with the traditional prediction model,the proposed approach has a higher prediction accuracy for multi-stack fuel cell systems.

Robust Semi-global Coordinated Tracking of Saturated Networked Systems

This paper focuses on the robust semi-global coordinated tracking of general linear systems subject to input saturation together with input additive disturbance and dead zone. A fully distributed algorithm which relating only with the number of the following agents and the relative state information of its neighbors is first constructed, and then sufficient conditions guaranteeing the robust semi-global consensus tracking and the robust semi-global swarm tracking are provided, respectively, on the basis of the low-and-high feedback technique. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results. © 2017

Battery energy storage systems are widely used in microgrids integrated with volatile energy resources for their ability in peak load shifting. Security constrained economic dispatch over the system’s lifecycle is a constrained multi-period stochastic optimization problem, which is intractable. We propose an improved actor-critic-based reinforcement learning combined with a protection layer security control method for this issue, where the distributional critic net is applied to estimate the expected total reward value of a period more accurately, and the policy net with a mask action layer is used to make secure and real-time decision. Additionally, we propose a protection layer to assist the policy net as a secondary control to prevent the unsafe state of microgrids due to the trial-and-error learning of reinforcement learning. Numerical test results show the proposed algorithm can perform better than the conventional economic dispatch and other reinforcement learning algorithms while guaranteeing safe operation. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Enhancing the resilience of power systems has become increasingly important to mitigate the negative impact of risk attacks. Integrating microgrids, which are small-scale power grids that can operate independently or in conjunction with the main grid, has emerged as an effective energy source for emergency situations and can avoid power outages. Typhoons, which are inevitable and relatively easy to predict risk attacks, have become one of the contexts to examine power system resilience. In this paper, we propose a reinforcement learning algorithm that combines graph theory knowledge to make decisions for optimizing power system resilience with microgrids under the Typhoon event. The algorithm effectively utilizes graph theory knowledge and reduces the number of decisions required in the optimization process. Numerical experimental results show that compared to traditional methods, the reinforcement learning algorithm can more effectively respond to typhoon changes, achieve flexible economic control, and enhance the resilience of power systems with microgrids. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2023.

An improved character segmentation algorithm based on local adaptive thresholding technique for Chinese NvShu documents

For the structural characteristics of Chinese NvShu character, by combining the basic idea in LLT local threshold algorithm and introducing the maximal betweenclass variance algorithm into local windows, an improved character segmentation algorithm based on local adaptive thresholding technique for Chinese NvShu documents was presented in this paper. Because of designing the corresponding correction parameters for the threshold and using secondary search mechanism, our proposed method could not only automatically obtain local threshold, but also avoid the loss of the character image information and improve the accuracy of the character image segmentation. Experimental results demonstrated its capability to reduce the effect of background noise, especially for Chinese NvShu character images with uneven illumination and low contrast. © 2014 Academy Publisher.
