A new InGaAs/InAlAs multi-layer design of broadband SESAM including precise phase shift compensation is proposed. Simulation demonstrates a uniform modulation depth up to 25% for the wavelength from 1000 to 1080 nm.

A simple, convenient and accurate technique for measurement of time delay in fiber by using a free-running linear-cavity laser is demonstrated. The uncertainty of time delay was in the order of 10 -7 ~ 10 -6 .

A 91.4 kHz repetition rate Er-doped dispersion managed mode-locked fiber laser was demonstrated. The pulse energy was amplified to 790 nJ though single stage amplifier.
