Powder injection desulfurization (PID) in RH was always applied to produce ultra-low sulfur steel, which was used for aerospace industry, marine and petroleum industry. The process of PID was divided into two processes: one was flow-reaction desulfurization and the other one was interface-reaction desulfurization, especially the flow-reaction desulfurization had a huge impact on desulfurization efficiency of RH. In this paper, based on similarity principle, including geometric similarity, dynamic similarity, vacuum similarity and slag-metal interface similarity, a new physical simulation experiment in which water, nitrogen and one special kind of oil were chosen as the substitutes of liquid steel, argon and desulfurizer was carried out to study on the influence rules of vacuum chamber pressure, driving gas flow and flow-reaction desulfurization efficiency, which would have an important guiding significance to the practical production.

Liquid core length is a very important parameter of the process of continuous casting, which directly reflects the cooling status in secondary cooling zone and solidification rate of the slab. In this paper, the billet caster in some steel plant in China was chosen as the prototype of simulating. A numerical simulating model for calculating the liquid core length of continuous casting billet was built by ProCAST software, which was verified reasonable and accurate by pin-shooting technique. Based on the model, the relationships between casting speed, casting temperature and liquid core length of casting billet were found, which was very practically useful for the workers on sit to improve casting billet quality.

With series resonance occur though the inductor and capacitor, LLCL output filter could achieve better switching ripple filtering effect in the case of using less inductance obtained than LCL filter. This paper summarizes the LLCL filter parameters design method in the application of shunt active power filter, and passive damping characteristics are analyzed. It is propose that under the precondition of ensuring the stability, choose lower damping resistance to maintain the high switching ripple attenuation capacity. In terms of control, generalized integral controller is used to realize compensation of within 50 odd harmonic in power current. Finally, the simulation result proved the effectiveness of LLCL filter and generalized integral controller.

The optimal multiple linear constraint minimal variance (LCMV) beamformer is presented under multiple desired signals case. The theoretical solutions of the optimal weighted vector and maximum signal-to-interference-plus-noise-ratio (SINR) are derived by using variable substitution method. Simulation results show that the algorithm is superior to the traditional LCMV approach in the SINR, computational load and applicability. The algorithm can be applied in the area of radar tracking of low-angle targets and polarization radar signal processing.

Nine-switch converter, which can provide two sets of three-phase outputs with independent amplitudes, phases and frequencies, has been proposed to replace two independent three-phase converters for cost- and size-reduced purposes. This paper proposes a hysteresis-modulation (HM) sliding-mode (SM) pulsewidth modulation (PWM) for the nine-switch converter. With the proposed HM-SMPWM, the phase currents of the two sets of outputs can track to their current references directly. To do this, decoupled sliding surfaces for the two sets of outputs are structured; based on the sliding surfaces, the proposed SMPWM are detailed explained; the operational range is also discussed; finally the experiments are carried out to confirm the effectiveness of analysis.
