As an important performance index of the UAV Ad hoc network, network reliability is a great significance for the performance evaluation of the UAV network system, and provides a direction for the selection of the UAVs formations. In this paper, based on the 3D Gauss Markov moving model, we modeled the motion mode of the UAV group. By using the Weibull distribution to sample the failure of the fleet, and through the correlation matrix which characterizes the connectivity state of network nodes in the time domain, we studied and compare the reliability of the self-organizing network of the UAV group with different formations. It provides a basis for selecting the formations of the UAVs for different network requirements.

The shafting drivetrain of the doubly fed wind turbine is the part with the highest failure rate. The electromagnetic torque fluctuation caused by the grid fault easily results in the torsional vibration fatigue loss of the shaft. Accordingly, the influences of drivetrain fatigue life loss under different grid faults require investigation. Firstly, the four-mass model of the drivetrain is constructed on the basis of MATlab/Simulink. Secondly, the electromagnetic torque response under short-circuit fault of the grid is obtained via model simulation. Finally, the effects of different types of grid faults on the fatigue life of the drivetrain are analysed through Mlife. Results show that the electromagnetic torque fluctuation load generated by grid fault has no apparent influence on the fatigue life of the drivetrain in the short term, but the cumulative effect of short-term damage will aggravate the fatigue life loss of the drivetrain and increase the failure risk of the component. The electromagnetic torque generated by the three-phase symmetrical short-circuit is the most violent and has the maximum effect on the fatigue life of the drivetrain.

Energy crisis and environmental concerns have led to the rapid development of renewable energy sources(RES). However, the fluctuating and unpredictable nature of RES reduce the reliability of the powersystems. Using compressed air energy storage(CAES) is one of the main solutions to this problem. In this paper, three typical operation modes of CAES are adopted to improve the flexibility of the wind-CAES hybrid system, and a risk-constrained economic dispatch model considering the uncertainty of wind power and the part-load characteristics of CAES is proposed. Scenario generation and reduction technique is applied to model the uncertainties and a piecewise linearization method is used to incorporate the part-load features into the mixed integer linear programming model. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology is studied in a modified IEEE RTS 24-bus system.

According to magneto-mechanical strong coupled effect, structure mode is discussed by engaging finite element (FE) method and both natural frequency and modal shape for a dry-type air-core reactor (DAR) are obtained in this paper. On the basis of harmonic response analysis, electromagnetic forces under sine-wave current excitation are mapped with the structure mesh, the vibration spectrums are gained and the consequences represent that the whole structure vibration predominates in the axial direction, with less radial vibration. Referring to the test standard of reactor noise, the rules of emitted noise of the DAR are measured and comparatively analyzed at power frequency and chosen other frequencies match the sample resonant frequency and the methods of active vibration and noise reduction are put forward. Finally, the low acoustic noise emission of a prototype DAR is verified by simulation and measurement.

Reliability assessment is the key to ensure the security of powersystem, however, the rapid development of “source-network-load-storage” cause enormous obstacle to the traditional reliability method. A improved method for reliability assessment of generation and transmission systems is proposed in this paper which lays importance on the coordinate operation and uncertainty of “source-network-load-storage”. Firstly, the reliability and operation model of “source-network-load-storage” is proposed to handle certain novel elements. Then the reliability assessment with operation simulation is proposed to make balance between generation and load under uncertainty. Finally, numerical analysis focusing on the different form and proportion of “source-network-load-storage” is tested in IEEE RTS-79 system so as to demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of the improved method.
