Wireless power transfer (WPT) has been a research focus in recent decades. Based on magnetically-coupled resonant WPT (MCR-WPT), this paper made a comparison of two basic structures in MCR-WPT: the two-coil structure and the four-coil structure. Their equivalent circuits were built. To illuminate the difference between these two structures, the input impedance, the transfer efficiency, and the load matching were studied and tested by experimental results. The conclusion is drawn that without reducing the transfer efficiency, the addition of the source coil and the load coil in the four-coil structure makes it easier to match the source and the load than the two-coil structure.

This paper presents an analysis on the performance of vertical axis wind turbine of two types, namely straightblade vertical axis wind turbine(SB-VAWT) and twisted-blade vertical axis wind turbine(TB-VAWT). An attempt of this simulation is to identify which type performs better in the same wind conditions and swept area. A flashover switch inserted between the cathode and wire end was used to enhance the deposition energy into an exploding wire in *** was found that the flashover switch plays two roles:the first one is reducing the rise time of the current pulse,the second and more important one to greatly improve the surface radial electric field and suppress the electronic emission that is responsible for triggering the surface breakdown of the exploding *** the second one takes effect and results in much higher energy deposition only with the flashover switch on the *** this case,the deposition energy was increased by ~three times(3.4eV/atom vs.12eV/atom) under negative current pulse and by ~two times(5.7eV/atom vs.13eV/atom) under a positive one,and fully vaporized wire core was observed with laser interferometry.
