DNA self-assembly is the most advanced and versatile system that has been experimentally demonstrated for programmable construction of patterned systems on the molecular scale. It has been demonstrated that the simple binary arithmetic and logical operations can be computed by the process of self assembly of DNA tiles. Here we report a one-dimensional algorithmic self-assembly of DNA triple-crossover molecules that can be used to execute five steps of a logical NAND and NOR operations on a string of binary bits. To achieve this, abstract tiles were translated into DNA tiles based on triple-crossover motifs. Serving as input for the computation, long single stranded DNA molecules were used to nucleate growth of tiles into algorithmic crystals. Our method shows that engineered DNA self-assembly can be treated as a bottom-up design techniques, and can be capable of designing DNA computer organization and architecture.

The rapid growth of new information services, especially like new media services, providing content distribution to clients with good quality of service(QoS) while retaining efficient is a great challenge. This paper investigates the QoS-aware replica placement problem (QRPP) for distributed caching system. We propose a dynamic programming algorithm for the problem in general graph, it first ensures the QoS requirement is satisfied of each request, then places the replica along the request forward path to minimize the total cost. The simulation results show the dynamic programming algorithm can achive a good balance between the access latency and the requested availability. When the request is more concentrated, the dynamic programming algorithm can have better performance than the MODULO and LRU both in access latency and requested availability.

Efficient electron transfer among microbes,azo dye and anode is a key factor for simultaneous azo dye decolorization and electricity generation in microbial fuel cell (MFC).In this study,natural mediator-humic acid (HA) was introduced to enhance such extracellular electron *** results showed that the addition of HA greatly enhanced azo dye decolorization and electricity generation *** of 5g/L HA resulted in 45% increase in maximum power density and almost 300% increase in decolorization rate of Congo *** data of reduction in anode polarization resistance and accelerated reductive decolorization of Congo red in the presence of HA indicated that HA is particularly effective in facilitate electrons transfer from microbes to azo dye and microbes to *** gradient gel electrophoresis and direct 16S ribosomal DNA gene nucleotide sequencing revealed that the addition of HA did not change the microbial community composition in the MFC but result in the growth of some dominant bacterial *** species were most likely to utilize HA as mediator to accelerate the rate of electrons transfer involved in both electricity generation and azo dye decolorization.

Based on the principle that the selection of delay time and embedding dimension has no correlation in the process of phase space reconstruction, this paper puts forward a new method of identifying the embedding dimension by Cao Liangyue Theory (CAO Theory) after the delay time is identified by Mutual Information Function. By means of the numerical verification of a few typical examples of chaotic dynamic system, the result shows that the method can identify the valid delay time of phase space reconstruction and the best embedding dimension. In addition, a new way of identifying the chaotic signal is provided and this method can effectively reconstruct the phase space of the original system from the time series.
