Dynamic wireless charging (DWC) of electric vehicles (EVs) is a promising technology that can promote the widespread of EVs. However, the output power fluctuation occurs due to the varying mutual inductance between the receiver coil and the transmitter coils caused by the EV motion, which would lead to control performance deterioration and even instability of the system. To mitigate the power fluctuation, this paper proposes a control strategy based on exact output regulation (EOR) theory for the receiver-side buck converter of the DWC system to compensate the disturbance arising from the mutual inductance fluctuation. The mutual inductance fluctuation can be approximated as a sinusoidal signal and the FEA analysis informanation is used to obtain an predefined exosystem that can characterize the dynamics of the mutual inductance fluctuation. A state feedback controller combined with a state observer is designed to achieve a constant output voltage of the DWC system by compensating for such disturbance. The simulation results verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control strategy as compared with the traditional control methods. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, pre-trained foundation models have developed rapidly and have been applied to various downstream tasks through fine-tuning methods. However, due to the existence of data silos, the lack of data for fine-tuning has become a vital issue preventing the application of the foundation model to industry. In addition, the high complexity of the network makes the foundation model prone to overfitting when used for data-constrained industrial tasks. Therefore, a federated tuning approach with adaptive weight shrinking, named FedAWS, is proposed for collaborative fine-tuning between factories. FedAWS adaptively selects the weight-shrinking factor to reduce overfitting and improve the generalization of the global model without relying on additional data sets or human experience. The case study on an industrial dataset demonstrates the effectiveness of FedAWS. This successful validation provides a new way for inter-factory collaboration to apply the foundation model to industry, thus facilitating the efficient utilization of industrial data. © 2024 IEEE.

Adaptive Third-Order Fixed Time Sliding Mode control with Chattering Free for Mobile Loading Arm Systems

The mobile loading arm(MLA) system is one of the most important mechanical equipments in the petrochemical industry consisting of rigid pipelines and rotating elbows. This paper researches the problems of dynamical modelling and tracking control. At first, an MLA dynamic model is built by using Euler-Lagrange function. And then, an adaptive third-order fixed time sliding mode(FDTSM) tracking controller with chattering free is represented, which enables the MLA system to dock with the vehicle tank mouth. In this paper, a new double-layer third-order fixed time sliding mode controller is first proposed to address the tracking problem in model-based MLA systems with known parameters. Moreover, considering the presence of modeling uncertainty and external disturbances,a nerual network adaptive FDTSM controller is designed to ensure that the close-loop system state tracking error converges to a bounded region around zero within a fixed time. Further, the stability of the close-loop system is proven by using the Lyapunov stability theorem. Simulation results illustrate the validaty of the controller.

In recent years, the proportion of wind power in electricity contribution is increasing, and wind power generation technology has developed rapidly. How to enhance the stability of wind turbine systems and extend their service life are still challenging problems due to uncertain and intermittent characteristics of natural wind. In order to ensure that variable speed wind turbines track the active power instructions released by the power system, an improved anti-windup rotor speed control strategy is designed to switch different control strategies according to the wind turbine rotor speed value, with the aim of optimizing the mechanical loads of pitch systems. Firstly, in the low wind speed region, the maximum wind energy capture is achieved by optimal torque control. When the rotor speed increases to a critic value, torque control determined by the turbine's rated output power and rotor speed is adopted. In the high wind speed region, the pitch controller is used to adjust the wind energy capture coefficient to maintain the rotor speed at its rated value. Moreover, in order to solve the problem of integral saturation in traditional rotor speed control methods, this paper proposes a bounded constraints assisted Proportional-Integral (PI) pitch angle control scheme to optimize the operation of pitch system. This control method can effectively eliminates integral saturation, mitigate fatigue loads of wind turbines, reduces overshoot of rotor speed and ensures safe and stable operation of wind turbines. Finally, the proposed method is simulated on OpenFAST platform to verify its advancement. © 2024 IEEE.
