An important question in data-driven control is how to obtain an informative dataset. In this work, we consider the problem of effective data acquisition of an unknown linear system with bounded disturbance for both open-loop and closed-loop stages. The learning objective is to minimize the volume of the set of admissible systems. First, a performance measure based on historical data and the input sequence is introduced to characterize the upper bound of the volume of the set of admissible systems. On the basis of this performance measure, an open-loop active learning strategy is proposed to minimize the volume by actively designing inputs during the open-loop stage. For the closed-loop stage, an closed-loop active learning strategy is designed to select and learn from informative closed-loop data. The efficiency of the proposed closed-loop active learning strategy is proved by showing that the unselected data cannot benefit the learning performance. Furthermore, an adaptive predictive controller is designed in accordance with the proposed data acquisition approach. The recursive feasibility and the stability of the controller are proved by analyzing the effect of the closed-loop active learning strategy. Event-triggered Consensus control of Heterogeneous Multi-agent systems: Model- and Data-based Analysis

This article deals with model- and data-based consensus control of heterogenous leader-following multi-agent systems (MASs) under an event-triggering transmission scheme. A dynamic periodic transmission protocol is developed to significantly alleviate the transmission frequency and computational burden, where the followers can interact locally with each other approaching the dynamics of the leader. Capitalizing on a discrete-time looped-functional, a model-based consensus condition for the closed-loop MASs is derived in form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), as well as a design method for obtaining the distributed controllers and event-triggering parameters. Upon collecting noise-corrupted state-input measurements during open-loop operation, a data-driven leader-following MAS representation is presented, and employed to solve the data-driven consensus control problem without requiring any knowledge of the agents' models. This result is then extended to the case of guaranteeing an H∞ performance. A simulation example is finally given to corroborate the efficacy of the proposed distributed event-triggering scheme in cutting off data transmissions and the data-driven design method. Cooperative behavior has been of great concern in evolutionary game researches because of its important role in social life and natural evolution. Since memory can greatly influence the emergence of cooperative behavior, memory-based research on evolutionary games has proliferated in recent years. In the present paper, inspired by the well-known 'Stanford marshmallow experiment' (SME), we proposed a multi-memory mechanism in Snowdrift game (SDG) on spatial lattice networks whose core lies in what follows: Players are divided into two groups according to individual self-control;different memory lengths are set by group and by time in a single realization. The simulation results show that our proposed mechanism promotes cooperation level of the considered evolutionary game. More specifically, as memory length increases to an intermediate length, the cooperation level increases as well. For mechanism with short memory length, the effect of population structure is obvious and small values of adjusting factor can intensively facilitate high-frequency cooperative behavior. These findings may be helpful to understand the connection between population heterogeneity and the emergence of high cooperation. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

This paper considers distributed online convex optimization with time-varying constraints. In this setting, a network of agents makes decisions at each round, and then only a portion of the loss function and a coordinate block of the constraint function are privately revealed to each agent. The loss and constraint functions are convex and can vary arbitrarily across rounds. The agents collaborate to minimize static network regret and network cumulative constraint violation. A novel distributed online algorithm with a vanishing stepsize is proposed and it achieves an O(Tmax {c,1-c}) static network regret bound and an O(T1-c/2) network cumulative constraint violation bound, where T is the number of rounds and c∈ (0,1) is a user-defined trade-off parameter. When Slater's condition holds (i.e, there is a point that strictly satisfies the inequality constraints), the network cumulative constraint violation bound is reduced to O(T1-c). Moreover, if the loss functions are strongly convex, then static network regret bound is reduced to O(log (T)), and the network cumulative constraint violation bound is reduced to O(√log (T)T) and O(log (T)) without and with Slater's condition, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, this paper is the first to achieve tighter (network) cumulative constraint violation bounds for (distributed) online convex optimization with time-varying constraints under Slater's condition. Finally, the theoretical results are verified through numerical simulations. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Micromanipulation techniques that can achieve controlled fine operations at the micro scale play an important role in biomedical fields including embryo engineering, gene engineering, drug screening, and cell analysis. However, micromanipulation of biological micro-objects, such as cells and micro tissues, suffers from mechanical damage and low efficiency. Several techniques have been introduced to manipulate cells more easily, but most of them are restricted by expensive devices, limited work area, and potential damage to cellular structure. Here we develop a hydrodynamic manipulation method to rotate and transport mouse oocytes, which utilizes acoustic waves and micropipette to generate acoustic radiation force and excite microstreaming. This method can accomplish rotational and translational operations precisely and controllably. We tested the process of trapping, rotation, and transportation of the mouse oocytes, and measured rotational and translational speed with a range of applied voltage. The method was able to shorten the cost time of delivery and posture adjustment before oocyte injection. Our study provides an easy-to-use technique for oocyte manipulation without contact, and it has the potential to be universally applied in many cellular studies.

Boosting Black-Box Adversarial Attacks with Meta Learning

Deep neural networks (DNNs) have achieved remarkable success in diverse fields. However, it has been demonstrated that DNNs are very vulnerable to adversarial examples even in black-box settings. A large number of black-box attack methods have been proposed to in the literature. However, those methods usually suffer from low success rates and large query counts, which cannot fully satisfy practical purposes. In this paper, we propose a hybrid attack method which trains meta adversarial perturbations (MAPs) on surrogate models and performs black-box attacks by estimating gradients of the models. Our method uses the meta adversarial perturbation as an initialization and subsequently trains any black-box attack method for several epochs. Furthermore, the MAPs enjoy favorable transferability and universality, in the sense that they can be employed to boost performance of other black-box adversarial attack methods. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method can not only improve the attack success rates, but also reduces the number of queries compared to other methods. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. Aiming at a large number of ambiguous,imprecise and incomplete data in the real world,fuzzy time series has come into being and developed into an effective forecasting *** the process of modeling and forecasting of fuzzy time series,the prediction performance of fuzzy time series can be effectively improved by partitioning the universe of discourse into different *** this paper,a forecasting approach for fuzzy time series,which introduces the granularity mechanism into interval division and employs differential data for incremental forecasting,is proposed to solve the problem of time series forecasting with high forecasting *** the proposed approach,in order to describe the fuzzy logic relationship and fuzzy trend of historical data,we first do differential processing on the historical ***,Fuzzy C-means(FCM) clustering algorithm is used to generate several partition intervals *** the sequel,we use the principle of justifiable granularity to constantly adjust the width of all the intervals,so that these information granules associated with corresponding intervals become the most"informative" information ***,the boundary of information granules is used as the basis of interval division to complete the forecasting *** illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the essence of the proposed *** comparative experiment with other representative approaches shows that the proposed approach can significantly improve the prediction accuracy of time series.

This paper investigates the high-precision path tracking control of tracked paver combined with global satellite navigation *** the paver is performing paving operations,it requires high path tracking accuracy and good vehicle ***,considering the influence of road curvature on path tracking accuracy and vehicle stability,and the situation that the vehicle can not move quickly to the expectation path when the lateral position of the vehicle deviates from the expectation path,this paper proposes a lateral path tracking control method based on improved Pure Pursuit *** control method is verified through *** experimental results show that the maximum lateral tracking error of the improved algorithm is 0.04 m,which is 55.56% lower than that of the original algorithm,and the average lateral tracking error is 0.02 m,which is60% lower than that of the original *** purpose of high-precision path tracking of the paver is realized.

Aiming at the problem of how to realize the reasonable distribution of goods and the resource scheduling of route planning under dynamic conditions, a phased refresh method is proposed to deal with the requirements in sections. At the same time, the clustering method is introduced to generate the initial population. And the cross and mutation rate is determined by a step-by-step reduction method, which is used to solve the problem of the traditional genetic algorithm falling into the local optimum caused by the uneven distribution of searchable solutions. Finally, the effectiveness of the improved method is verified by simulation experiments.

In the modern manufacturing environment, the production systems develop towards a flexible direction due to the market demands of multiple varieties and small batch-based customized products. To make better use of the existing resources and to improve production efficiency, distributed manufacturing mode begins to appear. This paper concentrates on a multi-type production scheduling problem for distributed serial lines. Specifically, unreliable machines and finite buffers are considered,which are more realistic in the practical production. The mathematical model for the production system with two Bernoulli machines is formulated first. Then, under the hypothetical model mentioned above, the main work of this article is to propose the exact and approximate analyses to calculate the performance indicators. Based on the analysis of the model, the genetic algorithm is applied to optimize the maximum completion time on the distributed serial lines for multi-batch-based production tasks. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the mathematical model and the proposed algorithm are verified through numerical experiments.
