Usage control is a generalization of access control to cover obligations, conditions, continuity and mutability. However, the delegation component isn¿t discussed to the full. In this paper, an improved scheme for delegation based on the usage control model is proposed. The new model is not just expanding the UCON ABC model simply by increasing the delegation component as earlier literatures by Zhiyong Zhang et al (2005) . By analyzing the cross domain problem in the e-government environment, the delegation is proposed naturally and discussed deeply. The new model and the delegation characteristics are described from the different viewpoints, and the corresponding monitor and architecture are also proposed at last.

Multimodal recognition is an emerging technique to overcome the non-robustness of the unimodal recognition in real applications. Canonical correlation analysis (CCA) has been employed as a powerful tool for feature fusion in the realization of such multimodal system. However, CCA is the unsupervised feature extraction and it does not utilize the class information of the samples, resulting in the constraint of the recognition performance. In this paper, the class information is incorporated into the framework of CCA for combined feature extraction, and a novel method of combined feature extraction for multimodal recognition, called discriminative canonical correlation analysis (DCCA), is proposed. The experiments show that DCCA outperforms some related methods of both unimodal recognition and multimodal recognition.

Coordination is a vital aspect of any type of interaction between computer agents in open distributed systems such as the Web. As distributed systems become more ubiquitous, autonomous and complex, the need to ground them on common data model grows stronger. In particular, Semantic Web services are based on synchronous message exchange, thus being incompatible with the REST architectural model of the (Semantic) Web. Recent advances in middleware technologies propose semantic aware tuplespaces as an infrastructure for coping with these issues. However, all of the existing related works do not support rule in their extensions of tuplespace. This paper presents a RuleSpaces based on a combination of tuplespace computing and Semantic Web Rule Language. We describe overview of the conceptual model and discuss the necessary extensions to the original tuplespace. An initial version of the RuleSpaces prototype system has been implemented.

With the rapid development of trusted computing technology, the security of computing environment for multifarious platforms has been enhanced by implementing both dedicated hardware and software. There is an increasing application of trusted computing platform with trusted computing supporting software (TCSS) providing support for the trusted platform module. Although many TCSS vendors claim that their products are compliant to trusted computing group (TCG) specifications version 1.1 or 1.2, it is difficult to find a feasible way to testify whether it is TCG compliant or not. In order to ensure the quality of TCSS, there is a need to test it according to the specification of TCG. This paper presents a test method of TCSS-firstly making security function division of TCSS based on the common criteria, then giving a model of testing TCSS, describing the concrete implementation of the testing prototype system, and finally testing a concrete TCSS product.

This paper proposes a realistic data grid system named JobGrid to construct information platform for Chinese college graduates employment, which supports centralized transaction processing to ensure consistent, effective operation in data access, control, monitor and analysis, and distributed data management to provide heterogeneous data integration, conversion, exaction and export. JobGrid has implemented global uniform view and massively heterogeneous data access, and provided efficiently data and transactions processing and cooperative control mechanism for distributed resource over grid.

That ensuring the electronic documents security is the key to the protection of internal information. With the extent of file sharing enlarged, it is hard to keep balance between the security and sharing. To achieve this goal, file tracing and audit, dynamic adjustment of right must be solved better. In this paper, a electronic document security system based on lineage mechanism is proposed,it support dynamic adjust right in mutable environment. It implement the file trace through recording the access logs and path of transmission. In fact, it implement one of the UCON models: pre-authorization with post update.

Reusing software architecture, which is a kind of coarse-grained software resources at design time, is always a very difficult problem in the realm of software engineer. We consider that the lack of information and techniques, which support the process of reusing software architecture, may result in this problem. So this paper proposes an approach, called ArchBean, which can provide information and technical support for the reuse of architectural level design. ArchBean includes two important basic constituents: RIM4RSA-reflective information model for reusing software architecture and R-ADL. In this paper, we firstly introduce RIM4RSA which can provide information support for creation of reusable architecture resource by modeling architectural information and meta- information. Then we illustrate an architecture description language, called R-ADL, which can provide technical support for description of the reusable software architecture constructed in term of RIM4RSA. Moreover, we demonstrate the main implementation processes of ArchBean.

This paper proposes a new evolutionary algorithm with lower dimensional crossover and gradient-based mutation for real-valued optimization problems with constraints. The crossover operator of the new algorithm searches a lower dimensional neighbor of the parent points where the neighbor center is the barycenter of the parents, and therefore the new algorithm converges fast. The gradient-based mutation is used to converge fast for the problems with equality constraints and active inequality constraints. And the new algorithm is simple and easy to be implemented. We have used 24 constrained benchmark problems to test the new algorithm. The experimental results show it works better than or competitive to a known effective algorithm.

Previous work mostly employs an ideal system model that assumes fully connected processors and concurrent communication, which leads to inaccurate and inegicient schedule results. In this paper, a new scheduling model which integrates the communication awareness was proposed. Then, a novel scheduling algorithm based on list heuristic was put forward for the new model, which can produce optimal schedule by serializing the communications edges. Experimental results show that the accuracy and efficiency of the new model and algorithm are significantly improved.

This article gives a capsule view of research on rough set theory and applications ongoing at universities and laboratories in China. Included in this capsule view of rough set research is a brief description of the following things: Chinese research groups on rough set with their URLs for web pages, names of principal researchers (supervisors), numbers of graduate students, and topics being investigated. Statistical summaries showing the growth in the research on rough set theory and application in China are included.
