Solar Energy Storage Systems (SESS) are deployed to address the unstable and intermittent nature of photovoltaic (PV) systems by allowing swift adjustments to system power. In such scenarios, the freshness of collected status updates is critical for controlling system performance. This timeliness is quantified through the Age of Information (AoI) metric. LoRa is introduced to the SESS as a Low-Power Wide-Area Network technology (LPWAN) to ensure reliable and energy-efficient data transmission. We explore a load monitoring system employing LoRa devices with periodic Slotted ALOHA (SA) access, where data updates with unfixed priority since the load process can be modeled as the time-variant Ornstein-Uhlenbeck (OU) process. The long-term expectation of AoI under fixed priorities is derived while the monitored process is time-invariant. Then the estimation error minimization problem is formulated while monitoring the time-variant OU process, which jointly considers delivered samples, estimated parameters, and AoI. To efficiently solve the problem, a greedy maximum scheduling (GMS) algorithm is proposed. Simulation results validate the AoI analysis with time-invariant processes and demonstrate the effectiveness of our data updating and estimation strategy using both generated data and real industry park data. © 2023 IEEE.

Internet of Things (IoT) software is used to control the distributed hardware of the underlying network and provide a reliable operating platform for various services. In production system, diversity IoT software provides multiple services, flows of different software run in parallel on the same IoT platform. Thus, system-level network parameter configurations may not be suitable for all service needs. In this paper, we focus on the challenge of the personally parameterizing transmission unit size and congestion windows (CWND) in flow control. We propose deeper flow control software model (DeepFC) for finer-grained flow control than traditional algorithms. DeepFC consist of two parts: (i) Since system-level transmission unit size may degrade network performance due to frequent fragmentation, we combine path MTU (PMTU) and deep reinforcement learning (DRL) to predict fine-grained flow-level transmission unit size. (ii) Transmission unit size is related to CWND in flow control. The fine-grained transmission unit size needs fine-grained congestion control solution. In DeepFC, we consider the mutual coupling between transmission unit size and CWND parameter configuration to further improve network performance. Experimental results show that DeepFC can reduce fragmentation by 67.8% compared to the protocols with system-level transmission unit size, flow completion time can be reduced by 20.93%, and throughput can be increased by 19.96% compared to the average of benchmark algorithms. © 2023 ACM.

At the current stage, data trading is still in the initial stage, there is no mature pricing mechanism, and it is difficult to realize the effective use of data *** order to incentivize the better circulation of data and give full play to the value of data, it is necessary to build a pricing mechanism for data transactions between data owners and data requesters. To address the above issues, this paper proposes a blockchain-based data transaction pricing mechanism. First, for the privacy and security of data, we adopt a blockchain-based architecture to guarantee the security of the transaction data and at the same time satisfy the arbitration of data transactions. Second, we formulate a pricing scheme based on data quality to provide a basis for further game dynamic pricing;then, in this paper, in order to incentivize both parties of the transaction to actively participate in the transaction and maximize the utility of both parties as much as possible, we construct a pricing model based on the Stackelberg game;lastly, we design an improved Double Deep Q Network (DDQN) reinforcement learning algorithm to optimize the strategy of pricing in data transactions. Experiments show that the pricing mechanism proposed in this paper improves the utility of both parties in the data pricing process, and improves the total benefit by 10% compared to the DQN algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

The advent of cloud platforms has revolutionized the landscape of modern business and user computing by providing a scalable and cost-effective alternative to the traditional model of purchasing and maintaining equipment. However, the coresidence feature, which is inherent to virtual machines (VMs) in cloud platforms, creates vulnerabilities that attackers can exploit to launch cache-based side-channel attacks, thereby compromising the security of user information. To address this problem, this paper proposes a hot migration algorithm based on a multiarmed bandit (MAB) model, which leverages physical machine (PM) migration between PMs to mitigate side-channel attacks in the cloud. Our proposed algorithm achieves the optimal timeaverage reward and ensures the security of the cloud platform, thereby outperforming other algorithms. The findings of this study have significant implications for the development of secure cloud computing systems, with the potential to enhance user privacy and safeguard against cyber threats. © 2023 IEEE.

The car-hailing platform based on Internet of Vehicles(IoV)tech-nology greatly facilitates passengers’daily car-hailing,enabling drivers to obtain orders more efficiently and obtain more significant ***,to match the driver closest to the passenger,it is often necessary to process the location information of the passenger and driver,which poses a considerable threat to privacy disclosure to the passenger and *** these issues,in this paper,by combining blockchain and Paillier homomorphic encryption algorithm,we design a secure blockchain-enabled IoV scheme with privacy protection for online *** this scheme,firstly,we propose an encryp-tion scheme based on the ***,the location information of passengers and drivers is encrypted in this ***,by introducing Paillier homomorphic encryption algorithm,the location matching of passengers and drivers is carried out in the ciphertext state to protect their location *** last,blockchain technology is used to record the transactions in online car-hailing,which can provide a security guarantee for passengers and *** we further analyze the security and performance of this *** with other schemes,the experimental results show that the proposed scheme can protect the user’s location privacy and have a better performance.

While meeting the needs of network traffic, dynamic deployment of VNF is the key to cost optimization of NFV system. In addition to considering server resource capacity and dynamic user traffic, the dynamic expansion strategy also needs to strike a balance between the operating costs of VNF, the cost of maintaining VNF instances, the cost of VNF deployment, and the additional cost of servers placing new VNF instances. In this paper, the problem is modeled as a 0-1 integer linear programming model with quadratic terms, and a new linear programming method is used to solve the problem. The algorithm reduces the complexity of the algorithm to a great extent by reducing the number of variables in the constraint. Through the experimental simulation, we prove the effectiveness of the algorithm and reduce the cost of VNF-FG scaling. © 2023 IEEE.

A Secure Energy Internet Scheme for IoV Based on Post-Quantum Blockchain

With the increasing use of distributed electric vehicles(EV),energy management in the Internet of vehicles(IoV)has attracted more attention,especially demand response(DR)management to achieve efficient energy management in ***,it is a tendency to introduce distributed energy such as renewable energy into the existing supply *** optimizing the energy internet(EI)for IoV,in this paper,we introduce blockchain into energy internet and propose a secure EI scheme for IoV based on post-quantum blockchain,which provides the new information services and an incentive cooperation mechanism for the current energy IoV ***,based on the principles of constructing a short lattice basis and preimage sampling,a lattice signature scheme is proposed and used in blockchain for authentication,which provides anti-quantum ***,we design the EI based on the post-quantum blockchain ***,based on this model,we design a secure EI scheme for IoV based on post-quantum *** our analysis and experiment,this new scheme can increase the efficiency of energy utilization and enrich EI’s application in *** particular,we further illustrate and analyze its *** is shown that EI based on post-quantum blockchain is more secure and efficient in information communications and energy trading.

Joint Long-Term User Scheduling and Beamforming Design for Burst IIoT

With the spurt progress of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), enhancing the IIoT's ability to deal with burst traffic is essential. User perceived throughput (UPT) is an appropriate metric for evaluating the real user experience of burst traffic since it takes buffer state into account, which is overlooked by traditional throughput calculations. However, the inherent strong randomness coupled with the emphasis on long-term performance, poses significant challenges to UPT optimization in such a stochastic industrial environment with time-varying characteristics. In this article, we focus on the UPT to measure the Quality of Experience (QoE) for burst IIoT, formulating a long-term UPT-maximization problem in the system. To address this, joint user scheduling at the medium access control (MAC) layer and beamforming design at the physical (PHY) layer optimization is considered. By applying the Lyapunov optimization theory, the long-term optimization problem is decoupled into more manageable short-term problems. Subsequently, we propose both centralized and decentralized algorithms, based on fractional programming (FP) and successive convex approximation (SCA), respectively. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms compared to the baselines, and FP-based collaborative QoE-driven cross-layer co-design algorithm (FPCQA) demonstrates superior UPT gain.

Distributed and Parallel Blockchain: Towards a Multi-Chain System With Enhanced Security

Isolatability and scalability are two critical issues faced by blockchain. Blockchain interoperability addresses isolatability between heterogeneous blockchains, while sharding-based blockchain achieves scalability by solving isolatability of homogeneous blockchains running in different shards. To ensure atomicity between different blockchains, they both need to overcome two significant problems: 1) how to handle cross-chain transactions without trusting any third parties;2) how to enhance the resistance to double-spending attacks of participating blockchains. To this end, this work presents a two-tier multi-zone architecture, Distributed and Parallel Blockchain (DP-Chain), where Consensus Zone in tier-1 features blockchain interoperability and sharding-based blockchain by allowing homogeneous or heterogeneous blockchains run in different zones, while Coordination Layer in tier-2 allows them to interoperate as a Direct Acyclic Graph (DAG) without trusting any third parties. Meanwhile, the coordination scheme between the two tiers is designed to resist potential double-spending attacks. Then, stochastic models are used to capture DP-Chain consensus process and analyze the probability of successful double-spending attacks. These analyses can help understand DP-Chain easily and offer theoretical guidelines for further implementations. Finally, based on the proposed architecture, a practical system is realized with C++ and open in Github for testing. Extensive experiments show correctness and effectiveness of this design.

Modeling and Performance Analysis of Multiserver Cloud Database Over Quasi-Static Rayleigh Fading Channel

With the development of communication in the post-5G era, the combination of communication and cloud computing becomes closer. In order to promote the further development of cloud-network, this article will study the performance of Multiserver cloud Database under the Communication quality of quasi-static Rayleigh fading channel with multiple antennas (MC-MD). The CLIENTS with unlimited customers, a COMMUNICATION SYSTEM subject to quasi-static Rayleigh fading, and CLOUD DATABASE with two-phase locking protocol are the three components of the MC-MD model. Transactions are 1)initiated by the CLIENTS, 2)transmitted to the CLOUD DATABASE through the COMMUNICATION SYSTEM for processing, 3)then returned to the CLIENTS. The indicators of the model is mathematically derived by using queuing theory. These include client's indicators [average concurrent quantity of the system in steady state (CQ), average transactions stay time of the system in steady state (ST), average queue length of the waiting area in steady state (QL), and average transactions wait time of the waiting area in steady state (WT)] and server's indicator [average number of service desks in the busy period at steady state (DN)]. Under the appropriate conditions, the results indicate that the theoretical value of service performance is basically consistent with the simulation value. Clearly, the high speed improves the service performance of the system and decreases the service pressure. On the basis of this, the optimization strategy is proposed and the simulation indicators Jitter of transactions sojourn time of the system in steady state (STJ) is added. The results show that the transaction scheduling optimization strategy effectively reduce the delay and its jitter.
