Bandpass filtering and time-domain wavelet threshold denoising methods do not perform well in pulse signal denoising, which are not effective for Specific Emitter Identification (SEI). Base on this problem, we propose a frequency-domain wavelet threshold denoising method, and improve the threshold estimation method as well as threshold function. Simulation results show that the proposed method is more superior than traditional methods in restoring the envelope and instantaneous frequency of the single-frequency pulse signals, which proves that our method has the potential to improve the accuracy of SEI. © 2022 IEEE.

We present a new algorithm that can solve the problem of recognition of continuous phase modulation (CPM) signals to phase shift keying (PSK) signals. The algorithm uses synchrosqueezing wavelet transform (SWT) to extract the instantaneous frequency (IF) of the signal. On this basis, a recognition characteristic parameter is proposed. This paper verifies the parameter is suitable for PSK and CPM signals with different modulation parameters. Finally, the simulation shows that the algorithm can fully recognize CPM signals to BPSK and QPSK signals when signal-to-noise ratio (snr) is above 6dB. Compared with the existing algorithms, the algorithm proposed in this paper has a higher recognition rate in the low snr environment. © 2022 IEEE.

The research on fault protection technology of AC power grid in AC/DC hybrid microgrid is very mature, while the research on fault protection technology of DC microgrid is still in the development stage. Therefore, the research and development of necessary power electronics and protection devices have become a research hotspot in recent years. In this paper, a microcomputer protection device based on the TMS320F28335 chip is developed. Considering the anti-interference of field use, detailed hardware and software design is carried out. The debugging effect is good, and the low-voltage DC short-circuit fault protection function can be reliably realized. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

With the addition of UAVs, the perception and recognition of ground targets have also advanced significantly. UAV photography has gradually become an integral part of this field. Due to the flexibility and lightness of UAVs, they can freely adjust their height and angle. Moreover, multiple UAVs can perceive and recognize the same target from different directions, which has led to increased attention toward collaborative perception using multiple viewpoints of UAVs. Given the diverse image information captured by UAVs from various angles, heights, and environments, i.e., multi-scale conditions, this paper addresses the challenge of target detection by leveraging the Local Feature Matching with Transformer (LoFTR) approach. The paper also explains the process of coordinating transformations for different images captured by multiple UAVs to ensure data consistency and synergy. Finally, experimental validation using the VisDrone dataset demonstrates that the developed detection method can reliably and efficiently operate on targets at different angles and altitudes. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

With the development of computer technology, intelligent vehicles have become a popular orientation at present. This paper provides a solution for the traditional GNSS/IMU integrated navigation to mitigate the influence of non-line-of-sight (NLOS) environments and achieve high-precision navigation. The LOS/NLOS switching is treated as a transition in a Markov chain, and the DIMM filtering is applied to obtain GNSS-filtered data free from the influence of NLOS. GNSS/IMU integrated navigation is loose coupling in that the method combines IMU information with processed GNSS measurement using the ESKF (Error-state Kalman Filter) to achieve accurate target tracking and positioning by utilizing the state difference as the state variable. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly improves tracking and positioning accuracy by effectively mitigating NLOS effects compared to traditional methods. This research provides an effective solution for real-world autonomous vehicle navigation systems and optimizes the city driving experience. © ASCE.

In the field of railway transportation, with the continuous improvement of train running speed and the continuous increase of operating mileage, it becomes particularly important to ensure the safety and integrity of small-Target infrastructure along the railway train. Although many small-Target detection methods have been proposed, the research on small-Target infrastructure detection along rail trains is very rare. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a small-Target infrastructure detection network with spatial tracking and multi-level feature extraction based on Yolov8n. The experimental results show that ST-YOLO has a 3.6% mAP improvement on the OSDaR23 dataset compared to the baseline Yolov8n, and shows significant advantages over other state-of-The-Art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Elastic scaling in response to changes on demand is a main benefit of serverless computing. When bursty workloads arrive, a serverless platform launches many new containers and initializes function environments (known as cold starts), which incurs significant startup latency. To reduce cold starts, platforms usually pause a container after it serves a request, and reuse this container for subsequent requests. However, this reuse strategy cannot efficiently reduce cold starts because the schedulers are agnostic of container lifecycle. For example, it may ignore soon available containers or evict soon needed containers. We propose a container lifecycle-aware scheduling strategy for serverless computing, CAS. The key idea is to control distribution of requests and determine creation or eviction of containers according to different lifecycle phases of containers. We implement a prototype of CAS on OpenWhisk. Our evaluation shows that CAS reduces 81% cold starts and therefore brings a 63% reduction at 95th percentile latency compared with native scheduling strategy in OpenWhisk when there is worker contention between workloads, and does not add significant performance overhead. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

In order to realize good omnidirectional backtracking of electromagnetic waves, a Van Atta cube scatterer consists of six identical Van Atta plane arrays is proposed. In this paper, the scattering characteristics in different incident directions are emphatically studied. Simulation results show that the Van Atta cube scatterer has the advantage of omnidirectional scattering, with the effective backtracking angle range exceeding 77% of the whole angle domain. © 2022 IEEE.

The overlapping and mutual coupling between transmitting and receiving signals is a knotty problem in radar radiation simulation. Interrupted transmitting and receiving (ITR) modulation can effectively solve this problem caused by limited space of the microwave chamber. In order to further expand the application of ITR modulation method, the characteristics of periodically-coded interrupted modulation signals are analyzed in this paper. Focusing on the modulated pulse coded modulation (PCM) signal, the time-frequency domain characteristics and matched filter output characteristics are studied in detail. Signal simulation experiments are carried out with MATlab to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. © 2022 IEEE.

Multi-temporal polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (PolSAR) image is an important tool to monitor crops growth and evaluate disaster damage. The multi-temporal PolSAR data has the high dimensional representation. Benefited from the tensor analysis, a three dimensional polarimetric scattering tensor is established. The polarimetric scattering tensor eigenvalue decomposition is proposed to derive the polarimetric features, which are polarimetric tensor entropy, polarimetric tensor alpha angle and polarimetric tensor anisotropy, respectively. Multi-temporal PolSAR image classification is applied to validate the effectiveness of the proposed features. To further improve the classification accuracy, the 1 × 1 convolutional kernel is introduced to learn the inter-temporal information. For the multi-temporal UAVSAR datasets, the proposed method achieves the excellent classification accuracy in the multi-temporal PolSAR image classification. © 2022 IEEE.
