Recent advancements in 3D Gaussian Splatting(3DGS) have significantly improved semantic scene understanding, enabling natural language queries to localize objects within a scene. However, existing methods primarily focus on embedding compressed CLIP features to 3D Gaussians, suffering from low object segmentation accuracy and lack spatial reasoning capabilities. To address these limitations, we propose GaussianGraph, a novel framework that enhances 3DGS-based scene understanding by integrating adaptive semantic clustering and scene graph generation. We introduce a ‘Control-Follow’ clustering strategy, which dynamically adapts to scene scale and feature distribution, avoiding feature compression and significantly improving segmentation accuracy. Additionally, we enrich scene representation by integrating object attributes and spatial relations extracted from 2D foundation models. To address inaccuracies in spatial relationships, we propose 3D correction modules that filter implausible relations through spatial consistency verification, ensuring reliable scene graph construction. Extensive experiments on three datasets demonstrate that GaussianGraph outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both semantic segmentation and object grounding tasks, providing a robust solution for complex scene understanding and interaction. We described ferromagnetic film and bilayer films composed of two ferromagnetic layers coupled through antiferromagnetic interfacial interaction by classical Heisenberg model and simulated their magnetization state,magnetic permeability,and Faraday effect at zero and finite temperature by using the Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert(LLG)*** results indicate that in a microwave field with positive circular polarization,the ferromagnetic film has one resonance peak while the bilayer film has two resonance ***,the resonance peak disappears in ferromagnetic film,and only one resonance peak emerges in bilayer film in the negative circularly polarized microwave *** the microwave field’s frequency exceeds the film’s resonance frequency,the Faraday rotation angle of the ferromagnetic film is the greatest,and it decreases when the thickness of the two halves of the bilayer is *** the microwave field’s frequency remains constant,the Faraday rotation angle fluctuates with temperature in the same manner as spontaneous magnetization *** a DC magnetic field is applied in the direction of the anisotropic axis of the film,the Faraday rotation angle varies with the DC magnetic field and shows a similar shape of the hysteresis loop.

With the rapid development of information technologies such as digital twin, extended reality, and blockchain,the hype around "metaverse" is increasing at astronomical speed. However, much attention has been paid to its entertainment and social functions. Considering the openness and interoperability of metaverses, the market of quality inspection promises explosive growth. In this paper, taking advantage of metaverses, we first propose the concept of Automated Quality Inspection(Auto QI), which performs integrated inspection covering the entire manufacturing process, including Quality of Materials, Quality of Manufacturing(Qo M), Quality of Products, Quality of Processes(Qo P), Quality of systems, and Quality of Services(Qo S). Based on the scenarios engineering theory, we discuss how to perform interactions between metaverses and the physical world for virtual design instruction and physical validation feedback. Then we introduce a bottomup inspection device development workflow with productivity tools offered by metaverses, making development more effective and efficient than ever. As the core of quality inspection,we propose Quality Transformers to complete detection task,while federated learning is integrated to regulate data *** summary, we point out the development directions of quality inspection under metaverse tide.

Data-free knowledge distillation is able to utilize the knowledge learned by a large teacher network to augment the training of a smaller student network without accessing the original training data, avoiding privacy, security, and proprietary risks in real applications. In this line of research, existing methods typically follow an inversion-and-distillation paradigm in which a generative adversarial network on-the-fly trained with the guidance of the pre-trained teacher network is used to synthesize a large-scale sample set for knowledge distillation. In this paper, we reexam-ine this common data-free knowledge distillation paradigm, showing that there is considerable room to improve the overall training efficiency through a lens of “small-scale inverted data for knowledge distillation”. In light of three empirical observations indicating the importance of how to balance class distributions in terms of synthetic sample di-versity and difficulty during both data inversion and distillation processes, we propose Small Scale Data-free Knowledge Distillation (SSD-KD). Informulation, SSD-KD introduces a modulating function to balance synthetic samples and a priority sampling function to select proper samples, facilitated by a dynamic replay buffer and a reinforcement learning strategy. As a result, SSD-KD can perform dis-tillation training conditioned on an extremely small scale of synthetic samples (e.g., 10x less than the original training data scale), making the overall training efficiency one or two orders of magnitude faster than many mainstream methods while retaining superior or competitive model performance, as demonstrated on popular image classification and semantic segmentation benchmarks. With the growing demand for thermal management of electronic devices,cooling of high-precision instruments,and biological cryopreservation,heat flux measurement of complex surfaces and at ultralow temperatures has become highly ***,current heat flux sensors(HFSs)are commonly used in high-temperature scenarios and have problems when applied in low-temperature conditions,such as low sensitivity and *** this study,we developed a flexible and highly sensitive HFS that can operate at ultralow to high temperatures,ranging from−196°C to 273°*** sensitivities of HFSs with thicknesses of 0.2 mm and 0.3 mm,which are efficiently manufactured by the screen-printing method,reach 11.21μV/(W/m2)and 13.43μV/(W/m2),*** experimental results show that there is a less than 3%resistance change from bending to ***,the HFS can measure heat flux in both exothermic and absorptive cases and can measure heat flux up to 25 kW/***,we demonstrate the application of the HFS to the measurement of minuscule heat flux,such as heat dissipation of human skin and cold *** technology is expected to be used in heat flux measurements at ultralow temperatures or on complex surfaces,which has great importance in the superconductor and cryobiology field.

Compliant leg behavior and the spring-loaded inverted pendulum (SLIP) model help understand the dynamics of legged locomotion while few works could be found discussing the effects of leg mass, which is an intriguing and worthwhile question for designers of compliant legged robots. This work is focused on the influence of leg mass on jumping performance using a compliant one-legged robot designed by the authors. An extended SLIP model with the center of mass of the torso offset from the hip and with the leg mass considered is presented for the designed robot, and the bio-inspired virtual pendulum posture control (VPPC) and the velocity-based leg adjustment method (VBLA) are used to achieve stable jumping of the robot. Afterward, the maximum forward pushed velocity at which the robot can recover its stability is investigated for different leg masses, and this velocity is used as a criterion to analyze the effect of leg mass. Results show that the maximum allowed pushed velocity decreases as the leg mass increases, suggesting that leg mass leads to a reduction in the stability of the robot. Results also show that stability decreases sharply when the ratio of leg mass to the total mass of the robot is higher than 0.35, which is close to the ratio of leg mass to the total mass in humans, according to human anatomical data. It suggests that the leg mass ratio should be kept below 0.35 in the practical design of legged robots so that the leg mass would have less effect on the locomotion performance of the robot. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2023.

Detecting and classifying gear faults with limited labeled data is essential for effective fault diagnosis in electromechanical systems. This paper presents a novel Frequency Adaptation Graph Prototype Network (FAGPN) for classifying various gear faults in geared motors. FAGPN employs customized low-pass and high-pass filters, integrated with an attention mechanism, to enhance multi-scale feature fusion from vibration signals processed through various frequency-time methods. Additionally, FAGPN projects embeddings onto hyperspherical space with a consistency constraint to improve accuracy. Experimental results on real-world datasets involving multiple gear sets in different states demonstrate the superior performance of FAGPN. Remarkably, with a training ratio of 1%, FAGPN achieves over 99% accuracy. © 2024 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.
