Existing algorithms in conic curves cryptosystem are all sequential ones. It is important to have fast parallel algorithms to both encrypt and decrypt data for cryptosystem on conic curves. This paper proposes our own parallel algorithms for conic curves cryptosystem over finite field Fp. Our main works are paralleling the basic multiple-precision integer algorithms and the point-addition operation on conic curves over finite field Fp. We also calculate the speedup ratio based on computing the runtime of sequential arithmetic and parallel arithmetic in this cryptosystem. The performance evaluation demonstrates that our methodology could reduce time complexity and improve efficiency for conic curves cryptosystem over finite field Fp. © 2010 IEEE.

Conic curves cryptosystem is a new technology for achieving information security. Point-addition and point-double are fundamental operations in conic curves cryptosystem over ring Zn. There is no existing research about the parallel computation for conic curves cryptosystem over ring Zn. This paper proposes parallel algorithms of point-addition and point-double for cryptosystem on conic curves over ring Zn. Additionally, we present a methodology to simplify the operation of computing greatest common factor by replacing it using two reduction operations in this cryptosystem. Research in this paper is based on our previous works about parallel algorithms for conic curves cryptosystem over finite field Fp. We design the parallel algorithms by analyzing basic multiple-precision algorithms used in these operations. The performance evaluation demonstrates that our methodology could improve efficiency for conic curves cryptosystem over ring Zn. © 2010 IEEE.

This paper is mainly to present a method to extend the network under Open MPI parallel environment. We walk through the Modular Component Architecture (MCA) and three core elements: framework, component and module comprised in the MCA. After an analysis of the point-to-point communication based on the network components in Open MPI, we present a method to extend a network by creating a network component under Byte Transfer Layer (BTL) framework, implementing the basic functions the component must have, configuring the network component to adjust to different architecture platforms and building the whole project to make the new component work in the framework. Finally we successfully extend the network of Open MPI with Hyper Transport (HT). By running a parallel program on the newly extended Open MPI based on HT. We prove the network extend method is accessible. © 2010 IEEE.

TCP migration is an important and complex aspect of process migration, which is the foundation of dynamic load balancing. Single IP Address cluster offers a transparent view of a cluster of machines as if they were a single computer on the network. In such an environment, TCP migration can play a significant role for providing services seamlessly. In this paper, we propose a live migration mechanism using Netfilter framework in which no modification to Linux kernel is required. The proposed plug-in module approach has the following advantages: flexibility-TCP migration functions may be loaded and unloaded dynamically, without node function interruption;TCP connections are kept alive while migration is taking place. © 2010 IEEE.

Rationale and rationale management have been playing an increasingly prominent role in software system development mainly due to the knowledge demand during system evaluation, maintenance, and evolution, especially for large and complex systems. The rationale management for requirements engineering, as a commencing and critical phase in software development life cycle, is still under-exploited. In this paper, we first survey briefly the state-of-the-art on rationale employment and applications in requirements engineering. Secondly, we identify the challenges in integrating rationale management in requirements engineering activities in order to promote further investigations and define a research agenda on rationale management in requirements engineering. ©2010 IEEE.

Due to the huge growth of the World Wide Web, medical images are now availab.e in large numbers in online repositories, and there exists the need to retrieval the images through automatically extracting visual information of the medical images, which is commonly known as content-based image retrieval (CBIR). Since each feature extracted from images just characterizes certain aspect of image content, multiple features are necessarily employed to improve the retrieval performance. Meanwhile, experiments demonstrate that a special feature is not equally important for different image queries. Most of existed feature fusion methods for image retrieval only utilize query independent feature fusion or rely on explicit user weighting. In this paper, we present a novel query dependent feature fusion method for medical image retrieval based on one class support vector machine. Having considered that a special feature is not equally important for different image queries, the proposed query dependent feature fusion method can learn different feature fusion models for different image queries only based on multiply image samples provided by the user, and the learned feature fusion models can reflect the different importances of a special feature for different image queries. The experimental results on the IRMA medical image collection demonstrate that the proposed method can improve the retrieval performance effectively and can outperform existed feature fusion methods for image retrieval. © 2010 IEEE.

This paper aims at the research on how the amount of internal nodes of a high productivity computer system using 2-D Mesh as its interconnection network influence the quality and speed of communication. In the experiments, we treat the InfiniBand adapter as the basic unit in 2-D Mesh topology, which can represent the interconnect network in our work more precisely, and use Opnet as the virtual experiment platform on which we conducted five experiments using 2-D Mesh interconnection structure with five different kinds of amount of nodes. The result should be helpful to the selection of the node topology which is of great importance to the establishment of a high productivity computer system. The following factors are taken into account to represent in a quantitative way the quality of communication and the scalab.lity of the system: the latency of the transmission, the maximum throughput and the ratio of valid packets received. ©2010 IEEE.

In cluster jobs have different characteristics, such as CPU intensive and I/O intensive. Many resource allocation strategies deal with CPU intensive jobs or I/O intensive jobs. However, few algorithms can deal with both of them. In this paper we propose an integrated resource allocation algorithm, which considers job characteristics. The proposed algorithm is based on an overhead model. The model can integrate the different job characteristics. Simulation results indicate that the proposed resource algorithm can effectively achieve improvement in average execution time compared with FIRSTAVAIlab.E. Moreover, proposed algorithm can promote system load balancing to some extent.

This paper presents an innovative style-wise advertising platform for web page. Web page "style" mainly refers to visual effects, such as color and layout. Unlike the most popular ad-network such as Google AdSense which needs publishers to change the original structure of their pages and define the position and style of the embedded ads manually, style-wise page advertising aims to automatically deliver style-consistent ads at proper positions within the web page, without breaking the layout of the original page. Our system is motivated from the fact that almost 90% web pages contain blank regions without any content. Given a web page with some blank regions, style-wise page advertising is able to detect the suitable blank areas for advertising, rank the ads according to the semantic relevance and web page style, and embed relevant ads into these nonintrusive areas. Style-wise page advertising represents one of the first attempts towards contextual advertising which enables the publishers to save effort when applying online advertising services. © 2010 International World Wide Web Conference Committee (IW3C2).

computer vision and pattern recognition is hot research topic recently, fire and flame recognition is an important sub-topics. Although researchers proposed many methods, there exist high false alarm and complex environment inadaptation because of fire-colored moving objects interference. This paper proposed a hybrid method using Hidden Markov Model (HMM) based on spatio-temporal feature and the variance of temporal luminance to detect fire. Here, the HMM model based spatio-temporal feature characterize the flicker feature of fire, and a series of observation points will be set on the boundary of flame to judge the fire flicker feature. While the variance of luminance character the temporal luminance feature. First, we can get the "candidate fire region", then we concentrate our main work on analyze the "candidate fire region". Experiment results show our method has a good result and it is robust to be used in complex environment compared with previous algorithms. © 2010 IEEE.
