High-frequency power electronic switching devices generate significant high-frequency magnetic fields in their surrounding space. High-frequency magnetic field energy harvesting devices offer higher output power density, allowing for smaller energy harvesting device volumes and portable installations, compared with grid frequency energy harvesters. Currently, research on the energy harvesting of high-frequency magnetic fields is relatively limited. The establishment of an accurate equivalent circuit model for high-frequency magnetic energy harvesters remains incomplete. Existing transformer models and inductance models are not entirely applicable. Calculating the AC coil resistance caused by skin effect and proximity effect, as well as the additional losses generated by eddy currents within the magnetic core, parasitic capacitance, and AC inductance parameters are highly related with the actual structure and design of the harvester. This paper designs a rectangular magnetic core structure and analyzes the equivalent circuit for high-frequency energy harvesting. Experimental parameter extraction is conducted to validate the correctness of the equivalent circuit model, demonstrating its effectiveness and accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to develop the LTP air filtration system which can effectively inactivate PMA, we studied the bioche mical mechanism of inactivating pathogenic microorganisms by LTP, and the physical process of charging and adsorption of PMA by LTP, and on this basis, we developed an efficient LTP source for effective inactivation of PMAs. The scalab.e prototype plasma air filtration system effectively killed all the bacteria within the inter cepted pathogenic aerosols. © 2021 IEEE.

Study on startup characteristics of prototype once-through steam generator for China fast reactor

Once-through steam generator (OTSG) is a vital heat transfer equipment of China Fast Reactor-600 (CFR-600), and its startup characteristics are of great importance to the safe operation of nuclear power plant. In this paper, first of all, the Thermal-hydraulic analysis Code Of Sodium heated once-through Steam generator (TCOSS) has been further optimized, and the code was introduced in the text. Secondly, the Steam Generator Test Facility (SGTF) and India Commercial Fast Breeder Reactor (CFBR) were selected for steady-state verification, and the feedwater flow rate increase condition of the prototype OTSG experiment was selected for transient verification. All the verifications were in good compliance, which proved the reliability of the TCOSS code for subsequent calculation of startup conditions. Finally, taking the prototype OTSG of CFR-600 as the research object, and the transient characteristics of cold startup and hot startup have been predicted and analyzed. The results show that both processes of cold startup and hot startup for prototype OTSG can be realized stably. The simulation results of startup processes showed a good agreement with expectations, which can provide support for the development of CFR-600 steam generator. © 2022 Xi'an Jiaotong University

According to an accident analysis report, with regard to sub-synchronous oscillation (SSO) in Xinjiang, China, dynamic reactive compensation devices have great influence on the existence of sub-synchronous harmonics. This paper based on the practical phenomenon for further study, focuses on the interaction between direct-drive permanent synchronous generators (D-PMSGs)-based wind farm and static var compensator (SVC). Detailed electro-magnetic transient simulation model, such as D-PMSGs-based wind farm compensated by SVC, is established in PSCAD/EMTDC. Time-domain simulation results demonstrate that there is interaction between D-PMSGs-based wind farm and SVC, which is closely related with the control parameters of SVC and D-PMSGs-based wind farm. This type of control interaction will lead to sub-synchronous oscillation. Therefore, the influence of above control parameters on the oscillation characteristics is further studied here. The practical significance of this paper is indicating the necessity of coordinating and optimising control parameters in large-scale wind farm. © 2019 Institution of engineering and *** right reserved.

Contact welding can occur in both making and breaking operations. In order to research contact welding phenomena in making operations, electrical endurance tests were conducted with a simulation test device. Welding phenomena at three different moments were studied to know which moment is the most critical for the welding phenomena: (i) at the first touch of movable and fixed contacts;(ii) at the contact bounce separation;and, (iii) when the movable and fixed contacts touch each other after the end of bounce. Influences of the number of bounces as well as bounce duration characteristics on the welding phenomena were also investigated.

Contact welding can occur in both make and break operations. In order to research effects of breaking forces on the probability of welding phenomena in separations, electrical endurance tests were conducted with a simulation test device under different separation forces. The results showed that the probability of welding in separations did not monotonically decrease with increasing breaking forces. However, as breaking forces increased, the number of operations before the first welding occurred is increased in a fluctuated way.

The interaction between the control links of the permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is one of the important factors that cause the instability of the PMSG grid-connected system. However, most of the researches on interaction focus on the electromagnetic timescale, and the electromechanical timescale is less involved. This paper analyzes the interaction between the active power loop and the synchronization loop of the PMSG within electromechanical timescale. Firstly, the simplified small-signal model of the PMSG single-machine infinite-bus system within electromechanical timescale is established. Then, the equivalent Heffron-Phillips model of the PMSG is proposed, and the interaction between the active power loop and the synchronization loop is quantitatively analyzed by the damping torque method. It is found that the active power loop can 'slow down' the dynamics of the synchronization loop, so that it belongs to electromechanical timescale. These findings provide some new insights into the interaction between the active power loop and the synchronization loop of the PMSG. © 2023 IEEE.

Benefit from its flexible and environmentally friendly capability, integrated electricity and heat system (IEHS) is gaining more and more attention. In order to further release the flexibility from district heating system under variable mass flow and variable temperature (VF-VT) control strategy and cope with the direction variation of mass flow which would appear in practice, a unit commitment problem of IEHS is built in this paper employing implicit upwind differential scheme to characterize the temperature distribution along the pipeline. Additionally, piecewise linear method is adopted to reformulate the original problem into mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) problem, which could be solved efficiently with the related optimization tools. Case study demonstrated on a sixbus six-node IEHS confirmed the validity of the model. © 2020 IEEE.
