Accurate and reliable information on land use is a basis of agricultural disaster warning and emergency action. The natural disasters typhoon, cold disaster, drought, and so on, have great influences on agricultural production in Guangdong Province, China. Through literature analysis at home and abroad, it was pointed out that Chinese HJ satellites have become important sources of remote sensing images due to short imaging period and broad coverage (about 2 days and 700km). It also advances the free sharing of OLI data on the new generation of remote sensor of Landsat. Considering the severe orbit deviation and frequent phenology changes of agricultural land use, this paper described and laid emphasis on the necessity and perspective of developing multi-scale (1:500,000, 120,000, 150,000) agricultural land use products of Provincial-City-County within Guangdong through the usage of relatively fixed ground control point database and spectral library based advanced hierarchical classification technologies supported by HJ satellite data. Such a tendency of quick disaster emergency response for land use dynamic implies a technological focus on the usage of above-mentioned advanced HJ satellite technologies. Based on Landsat images, we also built the 11 united ground control points (40 points at most for whole Guangdong Province) and standardized the technology system of land use remote sensing mapping with the combination of spectral library-based hierarchy classification technology. Selected key technologies for enhancing land use production mapping efficiency and accuracy that involve Landsat OLI and HJ satellites are presented and discussed. The HJ satellite is an effective information source for land use dynamic mapping under emergency action such as disaster damage evaluation, which can provide a short imaging period with wide spatial coverage and enhance the ability of land use data acquirement from one to three or four times or so in one year. We present a four-channel ultrafast wavelength-swept distributed feedback (DFB) semiconductor laser array based on the reconstruction-equivalent-chirp (REC) technique using instantaneous injection current modulation. With the aid of our designed laser driving circuit system consists of the microcontroller unit (MCU), field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and negative metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors (n-MOSFETs), the precise pulse driving current for the 4-channel wavelength-swept REC-DFB laser array can be generated and a fast tuning of 16.424 nm within 10 μs is achieved. To further investigate the tuning performance of the proposed wavelength-swept laser source, we then applied it to the fiber Bragg grating (FBG) interrogation system and four FBG temperature sensor arrays were successfully demodulated. The development of high-efficient optical sensing systems heavily relies on the significance of the ultrafast wavelength-swept laser source, which has the potential to greatly enhance FBG interrogator performance in the future. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to resolve the detection problem of coal mine gas content detection, and ensure the personal safety under the ground, we design the gas content detection system which based on the technology of ZigBee. The system includes two functional models, which are ZigBee and gas sensor. We can control the system functional model by computer net, which can realize the radio transmit by use of ZigBee technology. It can real-time work, and the precise high, transmit far away. The system hardware is simple, operate easily, cost cheap, which can be used in coal mine and safety detection. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.

To show the validity of swarm robots modeling and control properties influenced by resulting algorithmic parameter settings, particle swarm optimization (PSO) is extended to be tools for applying to swarm robotic search applications. For this end, a series of experimental simulations are conducted and the effects of key algorithmic parameters, i.e., communication range, detection radius, and swarm size emerge from the statistical results. In such control architecture, swarm robots are modeled at an abstract level with the extended PSO and each individual is assumed to be controlled under three-state finite state machine mechanism. Simulation results indicate the validity of modeling method. Besides, significant positive correlations between search efficiency and communication range, detection radius as well as swarm size are also found. ©2010 IEEE.

Active Queue Management (AQM) is an effective method used in Internet routers for congestion control, and to achieve a tradeoff between link utilization and delay. The de facto standard, the Random Early Detection (RED) AQM scheme, and most of its variants use average queue length as a congestion indicator to trigger packet dropping. This paper proposes a novel AQM algorithm, called Self-tuning Proportional and Integral RED (SPI-RED), as an extension of RED. SPI-RED is based on a Self-tuning Proportional and Integral controller, which not only considers the average queue length at the current time point, but also takes into consideration the past average queue lengths during a round-trip time. Furthermore, we give theoretical analysis of the system stability and give guidelines for the selection of feedback gains for the TCP/RED system to stabilize the average queue length at a desirable level. Extensive simulations have been conducted with ns2. The simulation results have demonstrated that the proposed SPI-RED algorithm outperforms the existing AQM schemes in terms of drop probability and stability.

To effectively reduce the energy consumption of urban rail transit trains and optimize the operation strategy, based on the dynamic model of the urban rail transit train, the energy consumption model of four-stage manipulation strategy is constructed respectively, and the particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve the model. In this paper, an A-type train with four driving and two pallets are selected as the research object, and a case design is carried out on a flat ramp. The operation strategy is analyzed for the difference between vehicle traction energy consumption, regenerative braking energy storage, and total energy consumption. The corresponding speed-distance curve is obtained by simulation. The results show that the four-stage control strategy is generally helpful to achieve better energy-saving optimization effects. © 2021 IEEE

In this paper, dopant segregation (DS) method is adopted to enhance device performance of PtSi-based Schottky-barrier source/drain MOSFETs (SB-MOSFETs) fabricated on ultrathin silicon-on-insulator. The DS formation is realized by means of Silicide As Diffusion Source. Without DS treatment, the devices are typically p-type, but with a rather large electron branch at positive gate bias. Dopant segregation with As is found to turn the devices to well-performing n-MOSFETs, and DS with B to greatly enhance the hole conduction in the p-MOSFETs. A large threshold voltage (V{sub}t) shift is however observed in the p-MOSFET due to B lateral spread caused during the drive-in process for the DS formation. By reducing the drive-in temperature, this problem is partially addressed with a smaller V{sub}t shift and a much better control of short channel effect.

A Many-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm Assisted by Ideal Hyperplane

In many-objective optimization problems (MaOPs), it is a difficult task for evolutionary algorithms to balance convergence and diversity while rapidly converging to the Pareto front. As the number of objectives increases, the difficulty of evolutionary algorithms increases with individual selection pressure. To address above problems, we propose a many-objective evolution algorithm assisted by an ideal hyperplane (MaOEA-IH). Firstly, the ideal hyperplane as a reference surface to guide the individual to search the Pareto front, which is established from the extremum of each dimension of the objective space. Secondly, a parallel p -norm mating selection strategy is proposed to improve convergence. In addition, two factors are considered in this strategy: 1) different p -norm are used to measure different spatial scales;2) individual selection uncertainty is defined by incorporating a probabilistic perturbation mechanism. Thirdly, the improved shift-based density estimation strategy is used as the evaluation criterion for environmental selection to improve the convergence and diversity of solution sets and enhance selection pressure. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, MAOEA-IH is compared with seven excellent algorithms in three benchmark sets (DTLZ, WFG and MaF). The results show that the proposed MAOEA-IH is highly competitive in solving MaOPs. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Considering the different quality of service (QoS) requirements posed by the various applications of vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), the characteristic of communication capacity is vital for the design of the Intelligent Transportation system (ITS). Although some scaling law-based results had already been obtained for VANETs to describe the general performance changing pattern when the total number of network nodes goes to infinity, they cannot be used directly to estimate the actual capacity of a communication pair or the entire network. To make up with this disadvantage, a interference-based capacity analysis is finished in this paper for the VANET scenario. For representing the unique constrain of inter-vehicle distance, which directly affects both the signal and interference power decaying, the car-following model is used to describe the vehicles' mobility feature. Based on that, a series of probability characteristics are derived for the worst interfered scenario, which finally leads to the expected VANET capacity. We believe the new results obtained in this paper will provide useful guidelines for the deployment of future VANETs.
