This paper presents a grasping convolutional neural network with image segmentation for mobile manipulating robot. The proposed method is cascaded by a feature pyramid network FPN and a grasping network DrGNet. The FPN network combined with point cloud clustering is used to obtain the mask of the target object. Then, the grayscale map and the depth map corresponding to the target object are combined and sent to the DrGNet network for providing multi-scale images. On this basis, depthwise separable convolution is used for encoding. The results of encoders are refined according to the light-weight RefineNet as well as sSE, which can achieve a better grasp detection. The proposed method is verified by the experiments on mobile manipulating robot.

The prediction and forecasting of faults occurring in photovoltaic (PV) system is one of the important aspect to escalate the reliability, output power generation, proficiency, lifetime and effectiveness of overall system. In this article, the behavior of PV array is studied under various faulty circumstances and new approach has offered for the better performance assessment of PV array. This approach is established on the analysis of peculiarities displayed by voltage power (V-P) and voltage-current (V-I) characteristics curves of PV array under different faulty conditions. The proposed technique can be used to identify and classify the five common faults in PV system. These progressive faults (includes open circuit, line-to-line, partial shading, degradation and bridging faults) have been occurred at the basic components of PV cell and at the connection point between PV modules. The characteristic curves under normal and faulty conditions have been compared by utilizing Matlab.Simulink environment. Hence, the suggested method can be utilized to determine the important fact about the health PV array. © 2020 IEEE.

Teacher's Online Practice in Community (TOPIC) is an informal and practical online learning community that improves teachers' professional development. Domestic researches on TOPIC have begun to take shape. By sorting out relevant literature retrieved from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), this article summarizes research topics such as knowledge management, teacher professional development, and community management and summarizes qualitative and quantitative research methods commonly used by domestic researches. This article finally puts forward some limitations of current researches in this field and forecasts the possible future research directions. © 2019 IEEE.

Smart education is leading the development direction of Chinese education informatization and becoming a main theme of education development in the era of which technology changes education. Based on literature survey and market research, this paper gives a comprehensive overview of the research and application of smart education from above seven aspects and proposes its development based on the status of smart education development. © 2019 IEEE.

In this paper, a cascade control framework is proposed a class of remote operated vehicles (ROVs) to enhance the control performance and capacity of interference resistance. Specifically, the control framework is composed of a fuzzy-based controller in primary loop and a PID neural network based controller in secondary loop. In the primary loop, fuzzy controller is implemented to avoid precise establishment of ROV model for calculating the expected velocity of the vehicle. Furthermore, in the secondary loop, a PID neural network with adaptation is adopted to accomplish the capacity of resisting disturbance. Eventually, the control framework is verified by theoretical and simulation analyses. The obtained results indicate that the proposed cascade control framework endows the ROV with the ability to guarantee the control performance and attenuate external disturbance effectively.

In recent years, with the rapid development of computer technology, facial expression recognition technology has gradually been applied to primary and secondary schools. This article first introduces the application of facial expression recognition in education. Then the development of facial expression recognition and the four basic processes of facial expressions are described. After that, the methods and algorithms used in face detection and localization of face expression recognition and classification are summarized, feature extraction and classification are summarized. Finally, the current application of facial expression recognition technology in education and the existing problems and future development are pointed out.

This paper presents a path planning approach for a manipulator based on RRT-Connect and Bezier curve. RRT-Connect is first used to search for a collision-free path in the joint space. Then, a dichotomy merge is adopted to remove redundant path nudes. Finally, the Bezier curve is utilized to smooth the transition points in the path. The simulation and experimental results on the Kinova manipulator show that this method can effectively plan a smooth and accessible path in the obstacle environment.

In blockchain ecosystems, an Oracle is a service tool which provides real-world data for smart contracts and other blockchain applications. At present, there are several Oracle implementation schemes, e.g. centralized Oracles, decentralized Oracles, and hardware Oracles. However, these schemes typically suffer from single source of data and low scalab.lity. Application Specific Knowledge Engine (ASKE) is an integrated topic/application-centered knowledge portal that supports effective information retrieval and analysis. Inspired by ASKE, in this paper, we propose a novel Oracle implementation scheme. The proposed scheme can realize multi-source data extraction and analysis, then working prototypes are demonstrated to show the validity of the scheme. © 2019 IEEE.

Compared with a traditional manufacturing process, 3D printing has advantages of performance and cost in personalized customization and has been applied in many fields. The problem of 3D model orientation optimization is a crucial one in practice. In this paper, based on the mathematical relationship between model orientation and printing time, surface quality, and supporting area, the model orientation problem is transformed into a multi-objective optimization problem with goal of minimizing printing time, surface quality, and supporting area. Ordinal Optimization (OO) is not only applicable to problems with random factors, but also to solve complex deterministic problems. The model orientation is a complex deterministic problem. We solve it with OO in this paper and use linear weighting to convert the multi-objective optimization problem into single-objective one. Finally, we compare the experimental results of solving 3D model orientation problems solved by OO and Genetic Algorithm (GA). The results show that OO requires less calculation time than GA while achieving comparable performance.

In recent years, the rapid development of cryptocurrencies and their underlying blockchain technology has revived Szabo's original idea of smart contracts, i.e., computer protocols that are designed to automatically facilitate, verify, and enforce the negotiation and implementation of digital contracts without central authorities. Smart contracts can find a wide spectrum of potential application scenarios in the digital economy and intelligent industries, including financial services, management, healthcare, and Internet of Things, among others, and also have been integrated into the mainstream blockchain-based development platforms, such as Ethereum and Hyperledger. However, smart contracts are still far from mature, and major technical challenges such as security and privacy issues are still awaiting further research efforts. For instance, the most notorious case might be "The DAO Attack" in June 2016, which led to more than $50 million Ether transferred into an adversary's account. In this paper, we strive to present a systematic and comprehensive overview of blockchain-enabled smart contracts, aiming at stimulating further research toward this emerging research area. We first introduced the operating mechanism and mainstream platforms of blockchain-enabled smart contracts, and proposed a research framework for smart contracts based on a novel six-layer architecture. Second, both the technical and legal challenges, as well as the recent research progresses, are listed. Third, we presented several typical application scenarios. Toward the end, we discussed the future development trends of smart contracts. This paper is aimed at providing helpful guidance and reference for future research efforts.
