A stable adaptive controller design approach via neuro-fuzzy (NF) dynamic inversion is developed for the trajectory tracking of the robotic manipulator which can be identified in the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy framework with both structure and parameters identified through input/output (I/O) data from the robot control process. The dynamic NF (DNF) system aims to approximate the whole robot dynamics rather than its nonlinear components as is done by static neural networks (NNs). The dynamic inversion introduced for the controller design is constructed by the DNF system and will help the NF controller design because it does not require the assumption that the robot states should be on a compact set. The system stability and the convergence of tracking errors are guaranteed by Lyapunov stability theory, and the learning algorithm for the DNF system is obtained thereby. Finally, simulation studies are carried out to show the viability and effectiveness of the proposed control approach.

A substation three-phase nonlinear state estimation method based on zero impedance branches helps to identify topology and analogy errors at substation level and accordingly enhances the control center's state estimation reliability and accuracy. Some issues during the practical implementation process of the technology are reported, such as the hardware configuration, measurement integration, the communication between substation and control center, time setting and period selection. The benefits of the proposed technology have also been analyzed. It is shown that this technology has high reliability and low burden on communication, and improves the ability of monitoring of power grids and the reliability of the real-time power network model significantly. The proposed technology is verified effective by both simulation experiments and field-site applications in East China Power Grid, and is well qualified for real-time online applications, which has broad popularization and application prospects.

The paper mainly focuses on the communication problem based on IEC61850 communication protocol. As in the process level communication system: MU (Merging Unit)-Switch-DIPC (Digital Integrated Protection and control system), the stability of SMV packets transmission is very important. The transmission delay of the process level communication is the key problem that may restrict the protection algorithm and capability. In the meantime, GPS synchronization problem of MUs, protection capability of the integrated protection device and stability of SMV message transmission based on the existing DIPC(DIP-01) system will also be discussed in the paper. Through the experiment and analysis, the paper gives out the key factors that lead to the message transmission delay and packets loss. The work at last gives out some primary ideas to improve the protection capability. © 2011 IEEE.

It is a key issue in building operation management how to design an open and ubiquitous information system for diversity buildings of smart cities. This paper presents an operation management cloud ecosystem for smart buildings based on the technologies of Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing. It contains four levels: operation management application level, Internet of things platform, networking level, node level. The IoT platform provides hosting and computing, cloud storage, data storage for smart buildings. Networking level takes the responsibility for networking for intelligent hardware and smart terminals from the device level. With the building operation management applications, the cloud ecosystem is able to provide services of monitoring, controlling, management, and real-time optimization for smart buildings in cities.

Pseudo control compensation based neural network dynamic inversion control is applied in super-maneuverable flight control. The base control law is designed in nonlinear dynamic inversion; neural networks are used to adaptively cancel inversion error. Pseudo control compensator is designed to cancel the interaction between actuator and adaptive neural networks. Simulations show that limitation that needs accurate mathematical model in dynamic inversion method can be released. The actuator that affects the adaptive factor is removed in this control structure and the robustness of the whole system is greatly improved.

Analysis of software licensing mode and compatibility choice with network externality

With network externality, two licensing modes-perpetual licensing mode and Softwareas-a-Service mode, and four compatibility choices-no compatibility, backward compatibility, forward compatibility and backward & forward compatibility, are considered. Consumers' purchasing decision and the vendor's pricing strategy are examined through two-stage models under each combination of licensing mode and compatibility choice. The results show that backward & forward compatibility maximizes the vendor's revenue under perpetual licensing mode, and any of no compatibility, backward compatibility and backward & forward compatibility may maximize the vendor's profit with software development costs under different compatibility choices. Under Software-as-a-Service mode, the compatibility choice has no impact on the vendor's revenue, and no compatibility maximizes the vendor's profit. When revenue maximization is the vendor's concern, perpetual licensing mode is superior to Software-as-a-Service mode;when profit maximization is the vendor's objective, Software-as-a-Service mode usually becomes better than perpetual licensing mode. © 2015, systems Engineering Society of China. Relation mention extraction from noisy data with hierarchical reinforcement learning

In this paper we address a task of relation mention extraction from noisy data: extracting representative phrases for a particular relation from noisy sentences that are collected via distant supervision. Despite its significance and value in many downstream applications, this task is less studied on noisy data. The major challenges exists in 1) the lack of annotation on mention phrases, and more severely, 2) handling noisy sentences which do not express a relation at all. To address the two challenges, we formulate the task as a semi-Markov decision process and propose a novel hierarchical reinforcement learning model. Our model consists of a top-level sentence selector to remove noisy sentences, a low-level mention extractor to extract relation mentions, and a reward estimator to provide signals to guide data denoising and mention extraction without explicit annotations. Experimental results show that our model is effective to extract relation mentions from noisy data. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

According to the demand of 126kV intelligent switch with intelligent operative box, an intelligent terminal device by using cooperation control of embedded CPU (STM32F103ZET6 ARM) and Field Programmable Gates (Cyclone II EP2C8Q208C8 FPGA), which is up to the IEC61850 standard, is designed in this paper. Research program of the device is discussed. Starting from the modularization structure design, function of each module, circuit design and implementation method were introduced in detail. A hardware platform was established according to the design. Finally, the article confirmed the correctness of the hardware platform primarily through experimental method. © 2011 IEEE.
