Taking the direct drive wind farm connected to weak AC system as the research object, combined with the actual topology of a wind farm in Hami, Xinjiang, this paper establishes the detailed model and cluster aggregation model of direct drive wind farm on PSCAD / EMTDC platform, and comprehensively analyzes the effectiveness of aggregation model under sub synchronous oscillation (SSO). The results show that when SSO occurs, the cluster equivalent model can accurately reflect the output characteristics, damping characteristics and oscillation frequency of the wind farm. According to the actual topology of a wind power collection station in Hami, Xinjiang and the actual operation of a wind power collection station on a certain day, the equivalent clustering is carried out. © 2022 IEEE.

HeadSonic: Usable Bone Conduction Earphone Authentication via Head-conducted Sounds

Earables (ear wearables) are rapidly emerging as a new platform encompassing a diverse of personal applications, prompting the development of authentication schemes to protect user privacy. Existing earable authentication methods are all specifically designed for air-conduction earphones, which are not suited for bone conduction earphones (BCEs) that rely on bone conduction mechanisms. In this paper, we propose HeadSonic, a usable BCE authentication system based on the unique head-conducted sounds, which can be acquired when the user wears the BCE device. Specifically, the system emits a millisecond-level sound to initiate the authentication session. The signal captured by the BCE microphone is propagated through the user’s head, which is unique in density, geometry, and bone-tissue ratio. It operates implicitly, while maintaining robustness across different behaviors. Extensive experiments involving 60 subjects demonstrate that HeadSonic achieves a commendable balanced accuracy of 96.59%, proving its efficacy and resilience against replay and synthesis attacks. Based on the idea of tightly coupled dipole array, a low profile, broadband circularly polarized array is designed in this paper. The circularly polarized phased array element consists of dual polarized dipoles with the same phase center and orthogonal arrangement, grounded coupling patches, resistive frequency selective surfaces (RFSS), and a 90° phase shifter network. In order to realize broadband scanning, the effect of RFSS on the input active voltage standing wave ratio and radiation axial ratio (AR) of the element is studied. The results show that the element can operate at 5-11.5GHz, within a ±45° angle scanning range, the AR of each scanning plane is less than 3dB, and the profile height is only 0.33 ? high. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

As one of the prominent networking paradigms in the realm of the Internet of Things (IoT), the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) facilitates seamless information dissemination and task processing among vehicles equipped with onboard sensing, communication, computing, and storage capabilities. With the advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, there is a vision to achieve pervasive intelligence within the IoV ecosystem. Various network entities, including connected vehicles, wireless base stations, edge/cloud servers, and aerial/space-assisted devices (such as drones and satellites), are expected to interact efficiently to perceive, reason, and make intelligent decisions based on contextual awareness. These advancements aim to enhance networking and computing effectiveness. The realization of an intelligent, safe, and ubiquitous IoV heavily relies on highly responsive task computing, adaptive networking, and efficient resource control to meet the increasingly diverse requirements of vehicular applications.

Given the problem that the influences of different vibration isolation parameters on the dynamic characteristics of isolated equipment in the double-layer vibration isolation system of ship power equipment is still unclear, a double-layer vibration isolation model for ship power equipment is established to study the time-domain response characteristics of the isolated equipment under the action of a half-sine wave shock. The dimensionless differential equations of system motion are derived using dimensional analysis, and the numerical simulation based on the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method is used to analyze the influences of vibration isolation parameters on shock resistance performance of the system, which provides a theoretical basis for the shock resistance design of the double-layer vibration isolation system of ship power equipment and is of significant instruction to the practice.

Radar Polarimetric information can effectively expand the understanding of target shape and structure, and have potential of exploring materials and local fine features of targets. In this paper, based on the theory of coherent and incoherent polarimetric decomposition, we extract features of multiple types of unmanned aerial vehicles with full polarization. Then communication with local agents (CLA) method is used to overcome shortcomings of difficulty of obtaining target training samples under real electromagnetic environment conditions. Based on the extracted polarimetric scattering mechanism, we can realize the accurate identification of UAVs without training samples. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified based on electromagnetic data measured in anechoic chamber and calculated by the software. The experiment proves that the recognition rate of the proposed algorithm is higher than that of conventional algorithms, and it has the ability to characterize the fine structure of unmanned aerial vehicles. © 2021 IEEE.

Polarization plays an important role in analyzing radar targets. Full polarization information has a better ability to inverse fine structures of the target. However, previous studies of high-resolution range profile (HRRP) mainly neglected effects of polarization. Therefore, a novel radar target recognition algorithm based on accelerated t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding(t-SNE) and multi-polarization weighted fusion has been proposed. Firstly, three single polarization channels, odd and even-bounce mechanism HRRP, and full polarization HRRP are described. The accelerated t-SNE method based on Barnes-Hut approximation improves the dimensionality reduction speed of processing HRRPs while maintaining the initial information of each HRRP. Also, it is capable of visualizing different targets. With the weighted fusion of posterior probabilities of multiple support vector machines (SVMs), we are able to realize recognition of targets. Experimental results of vehicle targets based on electromagnetic calculations show that recognition performance of this algorithm is superior to other methods, and it shows strong robustness under the condition of large azimuth angle. © 2021 IEEE.

The BP neural network is used to calculate the basic fault probability distribution of the dissolved gas in the transformer oil and the core grounding online monitoring data, and the Dempster-Shafer evidence theory is used to fuse the multi-source information of the basic probability of various types of faults to obtain a transformer fault diagnosis model. Transformer samples are used to verify the model, and the support vector machine and convolutional neural network fault diagnosis models are compared, and it is concluded that the proposed method is better in terms of fault diagnosis accuracy and stability. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
