The overlapping and mutual coupling between transmitting and receiving signals is a knotty problem in radar radiation simulation. Interrupted transmitting and receiving (ITR) modulation can effectively solve this problem caused by limited space of the microwave chamber. In order to further expand the application of ITR modulation method, the characteristics of periodically-coded interrupted modulation signals are analyzed in this paper. Focusing on the modulated pulse coded modulation (PCM) signal, the time-frequency domain characteristics and matched filter output characteristics are studied in detail. Signal simulation experiments are carried out with MATlab.to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. © 2022 IEEE.

In order to realize good omnidirectional backtracking of electromagnetic waves, a Van Atta cube scatterer consists of six identical Van Atta plane arrays is proposed. In this paper, the scattering characteristics in different incident directions are emphatically studied. Simulation results show that the Van Atta cube scatterer has the advantage of omnidirectional scattering, with the effective backtracking angle range exceeding 77% of the whole angle domain. © 2022 IEEE.

With the addition of UAVs, the perception and recognition of ground targets have also advanced significantly. UAV photography has gradually become an integral part of this field. Due to the flexibility and lightness of UAVs, they can freely adjust their height and angle. Moreover, multiple UAVs can perceive and recognize the same target from different directions, which has led to increased attention toward collab.rative perception using multiple viewpoints of UAVs. Given the diverse image information captured by UAVs from various angles, heights, and environments, i.e., multi-scale conditions, this paper addresses the challenge of target detection by leveraging the Local Feature Matching with Transformer (LoFTR) approach. The paper also explains the process of coordinating transformations for different images captured by multiple UAVs to ensure data consistency and synergy. Finally, experimental validation using the VisDrone dataset demonstrates that the developed detection method can reliably and efficiently operate on targets at different angles and altitudes. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

The phase-switched screen (PSS) can change the reflected echo of the target through a certain control method, thereby generating false targets. The study of material properties and the impact of materials on radar has attracted a lot of attention from the academic community. However, there are few studies on the influence of signal echo changes caused by artificial surface metamaterials on radar resources. In this paper, using PSS to change radar echo information to generate false targets in the Doppler frequency domain. Then the multi-false targets jamming effect on radar resources and multi-target tracking is analyzed. Simulation results show that these targets can consume radar search and tracking resources, generate a large number of temporary trails. This research is beneficial to the application of PSS for interference radar resources. © 2023 IEEE.

In the task of small object detection, due to the relatively small size of the objects, complex situations such as occlusion and overlap may arise in high-density scenes. These factors can significantly increase the issues of missed detections and false detections in object detection tasks. To address the aforementioned issues, this paper proposes a lightweight small object detection model, YOLOv5s-MGC. Firstly, we introduce an improved Mobilenetv3 network to replace the backbone network of YOLOv5s, aiming to improve the network's capability for effective feature extraction. Secondly, we incorporate the GSConv module into the feature fusion network to reduce model parameters and strengthen the network's ability in fusing feature information. Finally, we have integrated Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) at the forefront of the detection heads, achieving the fusion of fine-grained features. We assessed our approach on the openly accessible dataset 'SHWD' and contrasted the results with the baseline YOLOv5s and various SOTA object detection models. Precisely, our method attains an accuracy of 91.1%, exceeding the baseline module by 1.6%. Furthermore, the module size is reduced to 1.97MB and it achieves a 52.4 FPS. In comparison to other prevailing algorithms, YOLOv5s-MGC enables efficient and accurate small object detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Autonomous transportation systems, which have reconstructed open-pit mining operations, depend on accurate and real-time obstacle detection in challenging environments. Existing methods often exhibit limitations in accuracy due to their reliance on traditional image-based techniques, leading to errors and incomplete results. To address these issues, we developed a vision-based 3D object detection algorithm designed for open-pit mining environments. Our approach leverages the BEVDepth model, enabling accurate 3D object recognition using monocular camera input. Moreover, camera parameters are integrated to enhance resilience and flexibility across diverse mining environments. Last, our algorithm was implemented on a newly customized open-pit mining dataset. The experimental results verify the algorithm efficiency by attaining a high mean Average Precision score (mAP) of 67% while offering real-time performance with inference times as short as 25ms per frame. It enables accurate and efficient obstacle detection in autonomous mining vehicles and contributes to the development of safer and more productive mining operations. © 2024 IEEE.

Detecting and classifying the modulation type of the intercepted noisy LPI radar waveform has become a hot topic in the field of Electronic Countermeasures (ECM). In this paper, we propose a recognition model based on multiple feature images (MFI) and convolutional neural networks (CNN) with the quasi-residual attention module (QRAM). The core technologies of this model are divided into two parts. One is the MFI that combines the ambiguity function image (AFI) of the complete signal, covariance matrix image (CMI) of the reconstructed signal, and short-Time Fourier transform image (STFTI) of the truncated signal into RGB color image in signal processing as the input for recognition network. The other is CNN with a QRAM recognition network, in which the input is sliced into two mappings called identity mapping and residual mapping to build the quasi-residual module, and the attention module is embedded in each mapping to denoise and enhance the feature. The performance of the MFI-QRAM model is demonstrated by recognizing 12 modulation types of the signals defined in this paper. The simulation experiments show that the model has strong robustness with the number of train sets and the variation of SNR. The overall probability of successful recognition (PSR) is 96.17% when the SNR is-6 dB. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Cooperative behavior has been of great concern in evolutionary game researches because of its important role in social life and natural evolution. Since memory can greatly influence the emergence of cooperative behavior, memory-based research on evolutionary games has proliferated in recent years. In the present paper, inspired by the well-known 'Stanford marshmallow experiment' (SME), we proposed a multi-memory mechanism in Snowdrift game (SDG) on spatial lattice networks whose core lies in what follows: Players are divided into two groups according to individual self-control;different memory lengths are set by group and by time in a single realization. The simulation results show that our proposed mechanism promotes cooperation level of the considered evolutionary game. More specifically, as memory length increases to an intermediate length, the cooperation level increases as well. For mechanism with short memory length, the effect of population structure is obvious and small values of adjusting factor can intensively facilitate high-frequency cooperative behavior. These findings may be helpful to understand the connection between population heterogeneity and the emergence of high cooperation. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

Cognition of sea clutter is a difficult point in the study of target detection of maritime radar. There were few studies on sea clutter cross-polarized characteristics in the past. In this study, a scattering coefficients model is presented which can be used as a supplement to the study of cross-polarized sea clutter. We analyzed the characteristics of cross-polarized sea surface scattering coefficients and simulated the clutter to noise ratio of airborne radar system. It is considered that the cross-polarized radar system can reduce the interference caused by clutter significantly. and designing a more accurate model for the cross-polarized scattering coefficients deserves further study. © 2022 IEEE.
